بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
86:1
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ
86:1
By the sky and at-Tariq. - Talal Itani (English)

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ
86:2
But what will let you know what at-Tariq is? - Talal Itani (English)

ٱلنَّجْمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ
86:3
The Piercing Star. - Talal Itani (English)
86:4
إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ
86:4
There is no soul without a Protector over it. - Talal Itani (English)
86:5
فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ
86:5
Let man consider what he was created from. - Talal Itani (English)
86:6
خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٍ دَافِقٍ
86:6
He was created from gushing liquid. - Talal Itani (English)
86:7
يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ ٱلصُّلْبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ
86:7
Issuing from between the backbone and the breastbones. - Talal Itani (English)
86:8
إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٌ
86:8
He is certainly able to return him. - Talal Itani (English)
86:9
يَوْمَ تُبْلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ
86:9
On the Day when the secrets are disclosed. - Talal Itani (English)
86:10
فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٍ وَلَا نَاصِرٍ
86:10
He will have no strength, and no supporter. - Talal Itani (English)
86:11
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجْعِ
86:11
By the sky that returns. - Talal Itani (English)
86:12
وَٱلْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدْعِ
86:12
And the earth that cracks open. - Talal Itani (English)
86:13
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌ
86:13
It is a Decisive Word. - Talal Itani (English)
86:14
وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلْهَزْلِ
86:14
It is no joke. - Talal Itani (English)
86:15
إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًا
86:15
They plot and scheme. - Talal Itani (English)
86:16
وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًا
86:16
But I plot and scheme. - Talal Itani (English)
86:17
فَمَهِّلِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًۢا
86:17
Therefore, give the blasphemers respite, a brief respite. - Talal Itani (English)
