بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
96:1
ٱقْرَأْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ
96:1
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - - Saheeh International (English)
96:2
خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ
96:2
Created man from a clinging substance. - Saheeh International (English)
96:3
ٱقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْأَكْرَمُ
96:3
Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - - Saheeh International (English)
96:4
ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَ بِٱلْقَلَمِ
96:4
Who taught by the pen - - Saheeh International (English)
96:5
عَلَّمَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ
96:5
Taught man that which he knew not. - Saheeh International (English)
96:6
كَلَّآ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَيَطْغَىٰٓ
96:6
No! [But] indeed, man transgresses - Saheeh International (English)
96:7
أَن رَّءَاهُ ٱسْتَغْنَىٰٓ
96:7
Because he sees himself self-sufficient. - Saheeh International (English)
96:8
إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلرُّجْعَىٰٓ
96:8
Indeed, to your Lord is the return. - Saheeh International (English)
96:9
أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يَنْهَىٰ
96:9
Have you seen the one who forbids - Saheeh International (English)
96:10
عَبْدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰٓ
96:10
A servant when he prays? - Saheeh International (English)
96:11
أَرَءَيْتَ إِن كَانَ عَلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ
96:11
Have you seen if he is upon guidance - Saheeh International (English)
96:12
أَوْ أَمَرَ بِٱلتَّقْوَىٰٓ
96:12
Or enjoins righteousness? - Saheeh International (English)
96:13
أَرَءَيْتَ إِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ
96:13
Have you seen if he denies and turns away - - Saheeh International (English)
96:14
أَلَمْ يَعْلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَرَىٰ
96:14
Does he not know that Allah sees? - Saheeh International (English)
96:15
كَلَّا لَئِن لَّمْ يَنتَهِ لَنَسْفَعًۢا بِٱلنَّاصِيَةِ
96:15
No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - - Saheeh International (English)
96:16
نَاصِيَةٍ كَـٰذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍ
96:16
A lying, sinning forelock. - Saheeh International (English)
96:17
فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُۥ
96:17
Then let him call his associates; - Saheeh International (English)
96:18
سَنَدْعُ ٱلزَّبَانِيَةَ
96:18
We will call the angels of Hell. - Saheeh International (English)
96:19
كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُ وَٱسْجُدْ وَٱقْتَرِب ۩
96:19
No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. - Saheeh International (English)
