بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
75:1
لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ
75:1
No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:2
وَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلنَّفْسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ
75:2
No! I swear by the reproachful soul! - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:3
أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ
75:3
What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:4
بَلَىٰ قَـٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّىَ بَنَانَهُۥ
75:4
Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:5
بَلْ يُرِيدُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ
75:5
Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:6
يَسْـَٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ
75:6
'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:7
فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلْبَصَرُ
75:7
but when the sight is dazed - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:8
وَخَسَفَ ٱلْقَمَرُ
75:8
and the moon eclipsed, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:9
وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ
75:9
when the sun and moon are gathered together - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:10
يَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ ٱلْمَفَرُّ
75:10
on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:11
كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ
75:11
No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:12
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ
75:12
For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:13
يُنَبَّؤُا۟ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ
75:13
On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:14
بَلِ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٌ
75:14
He shall be a clear proof against himself, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:15
وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ
75:15
even though he offers his excuses. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:16
لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِۦٓ
75:16
Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:17
إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُۥ وَقُرْءَانَهُۥ
75:17
It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:18
فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَـٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعْ قُرْءَانَهُۥ
75:18
When We recite it, follow its recitation. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:19
ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُۥ
75:19
It's explanation is upon Us. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:20
كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ
75:20
Yet you love this hasty world - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:21
وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ
75:21
and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:22
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌ
75:22
On that Day there shall be radiant faces, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:23
إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ
75:23
gazing towards their Lord. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:24
وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بَاسِرَةٌ
75:24
And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:25
تَظُنُّ أَن يُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌ
75:25
so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:26
كَلَّآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِىَ
75:26
But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:27
وَقِيلَ مَنْ ۜ رَاقٍ
75:27
and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:28
وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ٱلْفِرَاقُ
75:28
and when he thinks it is the time of departure - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:29
وَٱلْتَفَّتِ ٱلسَّاقُ بِٱلسَّاقِ
75:29
and when leg is intertwined with leg, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:30
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمَسَاقُ
75:30
upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:31
فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ
75:31
Because, he neither believed nor prayed; - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:32
وَلَـٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
75:32
he belied the truth and turned away; - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:33
ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ
75:33
then went arrogantly to his household. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:34
أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ
75:34
Near to you and nearer, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:35
ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰٓ
75:35
then nearer to you and nearer! - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:36
أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَن يُتْرَكَ سُدًى
75:36
Does the human think he will be left to roam at will? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:37
أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِّن مَّنِىٍّ يُمْنَىٰ
75:37
What, was he not an ejaculated drop (of sperm)? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:38
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
75:38
Then he was a clot of blood, then He created and formed him - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:39
فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ
75:39
and made from him two kinds, male and female. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
75:40
أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَـٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحْـِۧىَ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
75:40
What, is He then unable to revive the dead? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
