بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

26:1 طسٓمٓ
26:1 Ta, Seen, Meem. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:2 تِلْكَ ءَايَـٰتُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ
26:2 These are the signs of the Manifest Book. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:3 لَعَلَّكَ بَـٰخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ
26:3 You are liable to imperil your life [out of distress] that they will not have faith. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:4 إِن نَّشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ءَايَةً فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَـٰقُهُمْ لَهَا خَـٰضِعِينَ
26:4 If We wish We will send down to them a sign from the sky before which their heads will remain bowed in humility. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:5 وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ
26:5 There does not come to them any new reminder from the All-beneficent but that they disregard it. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:6 فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا۟ فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنۢبَـٰٓؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
26:6 They have already denied [the truth], but soon there will come to them the news of what they have been deriding. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:7 أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ
26:7 Have they not regarded the earth, how many of every splendid kind [of vegetation] We have caused to grow in it? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:8 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:8 There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:9 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:9 Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:10 وَإِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱئْتِ ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
26:10 When your Lord called out to Moses: [saying,] ‘Go to those wrongdoing people, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:11 قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ
26:11 the people of Pharaoh. Will they not be wary [of Allah]?’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:12 قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُكَذِّبُونِ
26:12 He said, ‘My Lord! I fear they will impugn me, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:13 وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِى وَلَا يَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِى فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَىٰ هَـٰرُونَ
26:13 and I will become upset and my tongue will fail me. So send for Aaron [to join me]. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:14 وَلَهُمْ عَلَىَّ ذَنۢبٌ فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ
26:14 Besides, they have a charge against me, and I fear they will kill me.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:15 قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ فَٱذْهَبَا بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ ۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسْتَمِعُونَ
26:15 He said, ‘Certainly not! Let both of you go with Our signs: We will indeed be with you, hearing [everything]. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:16 فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَآ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:16 So approach Pharaoh and say, ‘‘We are indeed envoys of the Lord of the worlds - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:17 أَنْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
26:17 that you let the Children of Israel leave with us.’’ ’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:18 قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ
26:18 He [i.e. Pharaoh] said, ‘Did we not rear you as a child among us, and did you not stay with us for years of your life? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:19 وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ ٱلَّتِى فَعَلْتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
26:19 Then you committed that deed of yours, and you are an ingrate.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:20 قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَآ إِذًا وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
26:20 He said, ‘I did that when I was astray. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:21 فَفَرَرْتُ مِنكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِى رَبِّى حُكْمًا وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:21 So I fled from you, as I was afraid of you. Then my Lord gave me sound judgement and made me one of the apostles. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:22 وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَىَّ أَنْ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
26:22 That you have enslaved the Children of Israel—is that the favour with which you reproach me?’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:23 قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَا رَبُّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:23 He said, ‘And what is ‘‘the Lord of all the worlds?’’ ’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:24 قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ
26:24 He said, ‘The Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them,—should you have conviction.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:25 قَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُۥٓ أَلَا تَسْتَمِعُونَ
26:25 He said to those who were around him, ‘Don’t you hear?!’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:26 قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
26:26 He said, ‘Your Lord, and the Lord of your forefathers!’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:27 قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُونٌ
26:27 He said, ‘Indeed your messenger, who has been sent to you, is surely crazy!’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:28 قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
26:28 He said, ‘The Lord of the east and the west and whatever is between them—should you exercise your reason.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:29 قَالَ لَئِنِ ٱتَّخَذْتَ إِلَـٰهًا غَيْرِى لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمَسْجُونِينَ
26:29 He said, ‘If you take up any god other than me, I will surely make you a prisoner!’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:30 قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَىْءٍ مُّبِينٍ
26:30 He said, ‘What if I bring you something [as an] unmistakable [proof]?’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:31 قَالَ فَأْتِ بِهِۦٓ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
26:31 He said, ‘Then bring it, should you be truthful.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:32 فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُّبِينٌ
26:32 Thereat he threw down his staff, and behold, it was a manifest python. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:33 وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِىَ بَيْضَآءُ لِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ
26:33 Then he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white and bright to the onlookers. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:34 قَالَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُۥٓ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَسَـٰحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ
26:34 He said to the elite [who stood] around him, ‘This is indeed an expert magician - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:35 يُرِيدُ أَن يُخْرِجَكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِكُم بِسِحْرِهِۦ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ
26:35 who seeks to expel you from your land with his magic. So what do you advise?’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:36 قَالُوٓا۟ أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبْعَثْ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَـٰشِرِينَ
26:36 They said, ‘Put him and his brother off for a while, and send heralds to the cities - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:37 يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٍ
26:37 to bring you every expert magician.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:38 فَجُمِعَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَـٰتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
26:38 So the magicians were gathered for the tryst of a known day, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:39 وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّجْتَمِعُونَ
26:39 and the people were told: ‘Will you all gather?!’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:40 لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ٱلسَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ
26:40 ‘Maybe we will follow the magicians, if they are victors!’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:41 فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا۟ لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحْنُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ
26:41 So when the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh, ‘Shall we have a reward if we were to be the victors?’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:42 قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
26:42 He said, ‘Of course; and you will be among members of my inner circle.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:43 قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلْقُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ
26:43 Moses said to them, ‘Throw down whatever you have to throw!’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:44 فَأَلْقَوْا۟ حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُوا۟ بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ
26:44 So they threw down their sticks and ropes, and said, ‘By the might of Pharaoh, we shall surely be victorious!’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:45 فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ
26:45 Thereat Moses threw down his staff, and behold, it was swallowing what they had faked. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:46 فَأُلْقِىَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَـٰجِدِينَ
26:46 Thereat the magicians fell down prostrating. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:47 قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:47 They said, ‘We believe in the Lord of all the worlds, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:48 رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ
26:48 the Lord of Moses and Aaron.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:49 قَالَ ءَامَنتُمْ لَهُۥ قَبْلَ أَنْ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُم مِّنْ خِلَـٰفٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
26:49 He [i.e. Pharaoh] said, ‘Do you profess faith in Him before I should permit you? He is indeed your chief who has taught you magic! Soon you will know! I will cut off your hands and feet from opposite sides, and I will crucify you all.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:50 قَالُوا۟ لَا ضَيْرَ ۖ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ
26:50 They said, ‘[There is] no harm [in that]! Indeed, we shall return to our Lord. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:51 إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَـٰيَـٰنَآ أَن كُنَّآ أَوَّلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:51 Indeed we hope our Lord will forgive us our offences for being the first to believe.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:52 ۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِىٓ إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ
26:52 Then We revealed to Moses, [saying],‘Set out with My servants at night, for you will be pursued.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:53 فَأَرْسَلَ فِرْعَوْنُ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَـٰشِرِينَ
26:53 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:54 إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَشِرْذِمَةٌ قَلِيلُونَ
26:54 [proclaiming:] ‘These are indeed a small band. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:55 وَإِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَآئِظُونَ
26:55 They have aroused our wrath, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:56 وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَـٰذِرُونَ
26:56 and we are alert and fully prepared.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:57 فَأَخْرَجْنَـٰهُم مِّن جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
26:57 So We took them out of gardens and springs, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:58 وَكُنُوزٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ
26:58 and [made them leave behind] treasures and stately homes. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:59 كَذَٰلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَـٰهَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
26:59 So it was; and We bequeathed them to the Children of Israel. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:60 فَأَتْبَعُوهُم مُّشْرِقِينَ
26:60 Then they pursued them at sunrise. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:61 فَلَمَّا تَرَٰٓءَا ٱلْجَمْعَانِ قَالَ أَصْحَـٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ
26:61 When the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, ‘Indeed we have been caught up.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:62 قَالَ كَلَّآ ۖ إِنَّ مَعِىَ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ
26:62 He said, ‘Certainly not! Indeed my Lord is with me. He will guide me.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:63 فَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلْبَحْرَ ۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَٱلطَّوْدِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
26:63 Thereupon We revealed to Moses: ‘Strike the sea with your staff!’ Whereupon it parted, and each part was as if it were a great mountain. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:64 وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
26:64 There, We brought the others near, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:65 وَأَنجَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ
26:65 and We delivered Moses and all those who were with him. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:66 ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
26:66 Then We drowned the rest. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:67 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:67 There is indeed a sign in that, but most of them do not have faith. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:68 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:68 Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:69 وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
26:69 Relate to them the account of Abraham - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:70 إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ
26:70 when he said to his father and his people, ‘What is it that you are worshiping?!’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:71 قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَـٰكِفِينَ
26:71 They said, ‘We worship idols, and are constant in our devotion to them.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:72 قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ
26:72 He said, ‘Do they hear you when you call them? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:73 أَوْ يَنفَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ
26:73 Or do they bring you any benefit, or cause you any harm?’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:74 قَالُوا۟ بَلْ وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ
26:74 They said, ‘Indeed, we found our fathers doing likewise.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:75 قَالَ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ
26:75 He said, ‘Have you regarded what you have been worshipping, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:76 أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ ٱلْأَقْدَمُونَ
26:76 you and your ancestors? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:77 فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِّىٓ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:77 They are indeed enemies to me, but the Lord of all the worlds, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:78 ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَنِى فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ
26:78 who created me, it is He who guides me, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:79 وَٱلَّذِى هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِى وَيَسْقِينِ
26:79 and provides me with food and drink, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:80 وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ
26:80 and when I get sick, it is He who cures me; - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:81 وَٱلَّذِى يُمِيتُنِى ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ
26:81 who will make me die, then He will bring me to life, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:82 وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لِى خَطِيٓـَٔتِى يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ
26:82 and who, I hope, will forgive me my faults on the Day of Retribution.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:83 رَبِّ هَبْ لِى حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِى بِٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
26:83 ‘My Lord! Grant me [unerring] judgement, and unite me with the Righteous. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:84 وَٱجْعَل لِّى لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
26:84 Confer on me a worthy repute among the posterity, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:85 وَٱجْعَلْنِى مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
26:85 and make me one of the heirs to the paradise of bliss. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:86 وَٱغْفِرْ لِأَبِىٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
26:86 Forgive my father, for he is one of those who are astray. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:87 وَلَا تُخْزِنِى يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ
26:87 Do not disgrace me on the day that they will be resurrected, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:88 يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ
26:88 the day when neither wealth nor children will avail, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:89 إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ
26:89 except him who comes to Allah with a sound heart,’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:90 وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
26:90 and paradise will be brought near for the Godwary, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:91 وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِلْغَاوِينَ
26:91 and hell will be brought into view for the perverse, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:92 وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ
26:92 and they shall be told: ‘Where is that which you used to worship - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:93 مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ هَلْ يَنصُرُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنتَصِرُونَ
26:93 besides Allah? Do they help you, or do they help each other?’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:94 فَكُبْكِبُوا۟ فِيهَا هُمْ وَٱلْغَاوُۥنَ
26:94 Then they will be cast into it on their faces—they and the perverse, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:95 وَجُنُودُ إِبْلِيسَ أَجْمَعُونَ
26:95 and the hosts of Iblis all together. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:96 قَالُوا۟ وَهُمْ فِيهَا يَخْتَصِمُونَ
26:96 They will say, as they wrangle in it [together], - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:97 تَٱللَّهِ إِن كُنَّا لَفِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
26:97 ‘By Allah, we had indeed been in manifest error - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:98 إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:98 when we equated you with the Lord of all the worlds! - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:99 وَمَآ أَضَلَّنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
26:99 No one led us astray except the guilty. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:100 فَمَا لَنَا مِن شَـٰفِعِينَ
26:100 Now we have no intercessors, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:101 وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٍ
26:101 nor do we have any sympathetic friend. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:102 فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:102 Had there been another turn for us, we would be among the faithful.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:103 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:103 There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:104 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:104 Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:105 كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:105 The people of Noah impugned the apostles - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:106 إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:106 when Noah, their brother, said to them, ‘Will you not be wary [of Allah]? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:107 إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:107 Indeed I am a trusted apostle [sent] to you. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:108 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:108 So be wary of Allah and obey me. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:109 وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:109 I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward lies only with the Lord of all the worlds. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:110 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:110 So be wary of Allah and obey me.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:111 ۞ قَالُوٓا۟ أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَٱتَّبَعَكَ ٱلْأَرْذَلُونَ
26:111 They said, ‘Shall we believe in you, when it is the riffraff who follow you?’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:112 قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِى بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
26:112 He said, ‘What do I know as to what they used to do? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:113 إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّى ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ
26:113 Their reckoning is only with my Lord, should you be aware. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:114 وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:114 I will not drive away the faithful. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:115 إِنْ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
26:115 I am just a manifest warner.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:116 قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَـٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَرْجُومِينَ
26:116 They said, ‘Noah, if you do not desist, you will certainly be stoned [to death].’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:117 قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى كَذَّبُونِ
26:117 He said, ‘My Lord! Indeed my people have impugned me. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:118 فَٱفْتَحْ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِى وَمَن مَّعِىَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:118 So judge conclusively between me and them, and deliver me and the faithful who are with me.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:119 فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ
26:119 Thereupon We delivered him and those who were with him in the laden ark. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:120 ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ
26:120 Then We drowned the rest. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:121 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:121 There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:122 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:122 Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:123 كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:123 [The people of] ‘Ad impugned the apostles, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:124 إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:124 when Hud, their brother, said to them, ‘Will you not be wary [of Allah]? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:125 إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:125 Indeed I am a trusted apostle [sent] to you. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:126 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:126 So be wary of Allah and obey me. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:127 وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:127 I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward lies only with the Lord of all the worlds. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:128 أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ ءَايَةً تَعْبَثُونَ
26:128 Do you build futile a sign on every prominence? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:129 وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ
26:129 You set up structures as if you will be immortal, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:130 وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُم بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ
26:130 and when you seize [someone for punishment], you seize [him] like tyrants. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:131 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:131 So be wary of Allah and obey me. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:132 وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ
26:132 Be wary of Him who has provided you with whatever you know, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:133 أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنْعَـٰمٍ وَبَنِينَ
26:133 and aided you with sons and with cattle, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:134 وَجَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
26:134 gardens and springs. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:135 إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
26:135 Indeed I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous day.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:136 قَالُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ
26:136 They said, ‘It is the same to us whether you exhort us or not. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:137 إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا خُلُقُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
26:137 These are nothing but the traditions of the ancients, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:138 وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
26:138 and we will not be punished.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:139 فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:139 So they impugned him, whereupon We destroyed them. There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:140 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:140 Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:141 كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:141 [The people of] Thamud impugned the apostles - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:142 إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَـٰلِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:142 when Salih, their brother, said to them, ‘Will you not be wary [of Allah]? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:143 إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:143 Indeed I am a trusted apostle [sent] to you. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:144 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:144 So be wary of Allah and obey me. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:145 وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:145 I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward lies only with the Lord of all the worlds. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:146 أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِى مَا هَـٰهُنَآ ءَامِنِينَ
26:146 Will you be left secure in that which is here - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:147 فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
26:147 —amid gardens and springs, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:148 وَزُرُوعٍ وَنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌ
26:148 farms and date palms with dainty spathes - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:149 وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا فَـٰرِهِينَ
26:149 —while you skillfully hew out houses from the mountains? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:150 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:150 So be wary of Allah and obey me, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:151 وَلَا تُطِيعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ
26:151 and do not obey the dictates of the transgressors, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:152 ٱلَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ
26:152 who cause corruption in the land and do not bring about reform.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:153 قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ
26:153 They said, ‘Indeed you are one of the bewitched. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:154 مَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
26:154 You are just a human being like us. So bring us a sign, should you be truthful.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:155 قَالَ هَـٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةٌ لَّهَا شِرْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
26:155 He said, ‘This is a she-camel; she shall drink and you shall drink on known days. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:156 وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
26:156 Do not cause her any harm, for then you shall be seized by the punishment of a terrible day.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:157 فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ نَـٰدِمِينَ
26:157 But they hamstrung her, whereupon they became regretful. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:158 فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:158 So the punishment seized them. There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:159 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:159 Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:160 كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:160 The people of Lot impugned the apostles - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:161 إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:161 when Lot, their brother, said to them, ‘Will you not be wary [of Allah]? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:162 إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:162 Indeed I am a trusted apostle [sent] to you. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:163 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:163 So be wary of Allah and obey me. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:164 وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:164 I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward lies only with the Lord of all the worlds. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:165 أَتَأْتُونَ ٱلذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:165 What! Of all people do you come to males, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:166 وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُم مِّنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُم ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ
26:166 abandoning your wives your Lord has created for you? Indeed, you are a transgressing lot.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:167 قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَـٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْرَجِينَ
26:167 They said, ‘Lot, if you do not desist, you will surely be banished.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:168 قَالَ إِنِّى لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلْقَالِينَ
26:168 He said, ‘Indeed I detest your conduct.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:169 رَبِّ نَجِّنِى وَأَهْلِى مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ
26:169 ‘My Lord! Deliver me and my family from what they do.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:170 فَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ
26:170 So We delivered him and all his family, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:171 إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِى ٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ
26:171 except an old woman who remained behind. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:172 ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
26:172 Then We destroyed [all] the rest, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:173 وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًا ۖ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
26:173 and rained down upon them a rain [of stones]. Evil was the rain of those who were warned! - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:174 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:174 There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:175 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:175 Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:176 كَذَّبَ أَصْحَـٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:176 The inhabitants of Aykah impugned the apostles, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:177 إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:177 when Shu‘ayb said to them, ‘Will you not be wary [of Allah]? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:178 إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:178 Indeed I am a trusted apostle [sent] to you. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:179 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:179 So be wary of Allah and obey me. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:180 وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:180 I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward lies only with the Lord of all the worlds. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:181 ۞ أَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْسِرِينَ
26:181 Observe the full measure, and do not be of those who give short measure. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:182 وَزِنُوا۟ بِٱلْقِسْطَاسِ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ
26:182 Weigh with an even balance, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:183 وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشْيَآءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ
26:183 and do not cheat the people of their goods. Do not act wickedly on the earth, causing corruption. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:184 وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ وَٱلْجِبِلَّةَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
26:184 Be wary of Him who created you and the earlier generations.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:185 قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ
26:185 They said, ‘Indeed you are one of the bewitched. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:186 وَمَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ
26:186 You are just a human being like us, and we indeed consider you to be a liar. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:187 فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
26:187 Make a fragment of the sky falls upon us, should you be truthful.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:188 قَالَ رَبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
26:188 He said, ‘My Lord knows best what you are doing.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:189 فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
26:189 So they impugned him, and then they were overtaken by the punishment of the day of the overshadowing cloud. It was indeed the punishment of a terrible day. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:190 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:190 There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:191 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:191 Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:192 وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَنزِيلُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:192 This is indeed [a Book] sent down by the Lord of all the worlds, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:193 نَزَلَ بِهِ ٱلرُّوحُ ٱلْأَمِينُ
26:193 brought down by the Trustworthy Spirit - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:194 عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ
26:194 upon your heart (so that you may be one of the warners), - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:195 بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِىٍّ مُّبِينٍ
26:195 in a clear Arabic language. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:196 وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِى زُبُرِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
26:196 It is indeed [foretold] in the scriptures of the ancients. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:197 أَوَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ ءَايَةً أَن يَعْلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَـٰٓؤُا۟ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
26:197 Is it not a sign for them that the learned of the Children of Israel recognize it? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:198 وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَـٰهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضِ ٱلْأَعْجَمِينَ
26:198 Had We sent it down upon some non-Arab - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:199 فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَيْهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنِينَ
26:199 and had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:200 كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكْنَـٰهُ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
26:200 This is how We let it pass through the hearts of the guilty: - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:201 لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ
26:201 they do not believe in it until they sight the painful punishment. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:202 فَيَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
26:202 It will overtake them suddenly while they are unaware. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:203 فَيَقُولُوا۟ هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنظَرُونَ
26:203 Thereupon they will say, ‘Shall we be granted any respite?’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:204 أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
26:204 So do they seek to hasten on Our punishment? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:205 أَفَرَءَيْتَ إِن مَّتَّعْنَـٰهُمْ سِنِينَ
26:205 Tell me, should We let them enjoy for some years, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:206 ثُمَّ جَآءَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُوعَدُونَ
26:206 then there comes to them what they have been promised, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:207 مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُمَتَّعُونَ
26:207 of what avail to them will be that which they were given to enjoy? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:208 وَمَآ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ
26:208 We have not destroyed any town without its having warners, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:209 ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ
26:209 for the sake of admonition, and We were not unjust. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:210 وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ
26:210 It has not been brought down by the devils. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:211 وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
26:211 Neither does it behoove them, nor are they capable [of doing that]. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:212 إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ
26:212 Indeed, they are kept at bay [even] from hearing it. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:213 فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَ
26:213 So do not invoke any god besides Allah, lest you should be among the punished. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:214 وَأَنذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ ٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ
26:214 Warn the nearest of your kinsfolk, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:215 وَٱخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:215 and lower your wing to the faithful who follow you. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:216 فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
26:216 But if they disobey you, say, ‘I am absolved of what you do.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:217 وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
26:217 And put your trust in the All-mighty, the All-merciful, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:218 ٱلَّذِى يَرَىٰكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ
26:218 who sees you when you stand [for prayer], - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:219 وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِى ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
26:219 and your going about among those who prostrate. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:220 إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
26:220 Indeed He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:221 هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ
26:221 Should I inform you on whom the devils descend? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:222 تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ
26:222 They descend on every sinful liar. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:223 يُلْقُونَ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَـٰذِبُونَ
26:223 They eavesdrop, and most of them are liars. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:224 وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلْغَاوُۥنَ
26:224 As for the poets, [only] the perverse follow them. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:225 أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى كُلِّ وَادٍ يَهِيمُونَ
26:225 Have you not regarded that they rove in every valley, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:226 وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ
26:226 and that they say what they do not do? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)

26:227 إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَىَّ مُنقَلَبٍ يَنقَلِبُونَ
26:227 Barring those who have faith, do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much often, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. And the wrongdoers will soon know at what goal they will end up. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
