بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
26:1 طسٓمٓ
26:1 Ta Sin Mim. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:2 تِلْكَ ءَايَـٰتُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ
26:2 These are the verses of the Book that makes (things) clear. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:3 لَعَلَّكَ بَـٰخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ
26:3 Perhaps you will kill yourself with grief because they do not believe. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:4 إِن نَّشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ءَايَةً فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَـٰقُهُمْ لَهَا خَـٰضِعِينَ
26:4 If We please, We should send down upon them a sign from the heaven so that their necks should stoop to it. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:5 وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ
26:5 And there does not come to them a new reminder from the Beneficent Allah but they turn aside from it. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:6 فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا۟ فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنۢبَـٰٓؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
26:6 So they have indeed rejected (the truth), therefore the news of that which they mock shall soon come to them. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:7 أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ
26:7 Do they not see the earth, how many of every noble kind We have caused to grow in it? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:8 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:8 Most surely there is a sign in that, but most of them will not believe. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:9 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:9 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:10 وَإِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱئْتِ ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
26:10 And when your Lord called out to Musa, saying: Go to the unjust people, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:11 قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ
26:11 The people of Firon: Will they not guard (against evil)? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:12 قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُكَذِّبُونِ
26:12 He said: O my Lord! surely I fear that they will reject me; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:13 وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِى وَلَا يَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِى فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَىٰ هَـٰرُونَ
26:13 And by breast straitens, and my tongue is not eloquent, therefore send Thou to Haroun (to help me); - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:14 وَلَهُمْ عَلَىَّ ذَنۢبٌ فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ
26:14 And they have a crime against me, therefore I fear that they may slay me. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:15 قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ فَٱذْهَبَا بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ ۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسْتَمِعُونَ
26:15 He said: By no means, so go you both with Our signs; surely We are with you, hearing; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:16 فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَآ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:16 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:17 أَنْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
26:17 Then send with us the children of Israel. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:18 قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ
26:18 (Firon) said: Did we not bring you up as a child among us, and you tarried among us for (many) years of your life? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:19 وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ ٱلَّتِى فَعَلْتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
26:19 And you did (that) deed of yours which you did, and you are one of the ungrateful. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:20 قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَآ إِذًا وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
26:20 He said: I did it then while I was of those unable to see the right course; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:21 فَفَرَرْتُ مِنكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِى رَبِّى حُكْمًا وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:21 So I fled from you when I feared you, then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me of the apostles; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:22 وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَىَّ أَنْ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
26:22 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:23 قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَا رَبُّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:23 Firon said: And what is the Lord of the worlds? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:24 قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ
26:24 He said: The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you would be sure. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:25 قَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُۥٓ أَلَا تَسْتَمِعُونَ
26:25 (Firon) said to those around him: Do you not hear? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:26 قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
26:26 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of old. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:27 قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُونٌ
26:27 Said he: Most surely your Apostle who is sent to you is mad. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:28 قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
26:28 He said: The Lord of the east and the west and what is between them, if you understand. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:29 قَالَ لَئِنِ ٱتَّخَذْتَ إِلَـٰهًا غَيْرِى لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمَسْجُونِينَ
26:29 Said he: If you will take a god besides me, I will most certainly make you one of the imprisoned. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:30 قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَىْءٍ مُّبِينٍ
26:30 He said: What! even if I bring to you something manifest? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:31 قَالَ فَأْتِ بِهِۦٓ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
26:31 Said he: Bring it then, if you are of the truthful ones. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:32 فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُّبِينٌ
26:32 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:33 وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِىَ بَيْضَآءُ لِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ
26:33 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it appeared white to the onlookers. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:34 قَالَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُۥٓ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَسَـٰحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ
26:34 (Firon) said to the chiefs around him: Most surely this is a skillful magician, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:35 يُرِيدُ أَن يُخْرِجَكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِكُم بِسِحْرِهِۦ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ
26:35 Who desires to turn you out of your land with his magic; what is it then that you advise? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:36 قَالُوٓا۟ أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبْعَثْ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَـٰشِرِينَ
26:36 They said: Give him and his brother respite and send heralds into the cities - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:37 يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٍ
26:37 That they should bring to you every skillful magician. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:38 فَجُمِعَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَـٰتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
26:38 So the magicians were gathered together at the appointed time on the fixed day, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:39 وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّجْتَمِعُونَ
26:39 And it was said to the people: Will you gather together? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:40 لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ٱلسَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ
26:40 Haply we may follow the magicians, if they are the vanquishers. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:41 فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا۟ لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحْنُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ
26:41 And when the magicians came, they said to Firon: Shall we get a reward if we are the vanquishers? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:42 قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
26:42 He said: Yes, and surely you will then be of those who are made near. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:43 قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلْقُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ
26:43 Musa said to them: Cast what you are going to cast. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:44 فَأَلْقَوْا۟ حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُوا۟ بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ
26:44 So they cast down their cords and their rods and said: By Firon's power, we shall most surely be victorious. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:45 فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ
26:45 Then Musa cast down his staff and lo! it swallowed up the lies they told. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:46 فَأُلْقِىَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَـٰجِدِينَ
26:46 And the magicians were thrown down prostrate; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:47 قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:47 They said: We believe in the Lord of the worlds: - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:48 رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ
26:48 The Lord of Musa and Haroun. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:49 قَالَ ءَامَنتُمْ لَهُۥ قَبْلَ أَنْ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُم مِّنْ خِلَـٰفٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
26:49 Said he: You believe in him before I give you permission; most surely he is the chief of you who taught you the magic, so you shall know: certainly I will cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and certainly I will crucify you all. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:50 قَالُوا۟ لَا ضَيْرَ ۖ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ
26:50 They said: No harm; surely to our Lord we go back; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:51 إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَـٰيَـٰنَآ أَن كُنَّآ أَوَّلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:51 Surely we hope that our Lord will forgive us our wrongs because we are the first of the believers. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:52 ۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِىٓ إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ
26:52 And We revealed to Musa, saying: Go away with My servants travelling by night, surely you will be pursued. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:53 فَأَرْسَلَ فِرْعَوْنُ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَـٰشِرِينَ
26:53 So Firon sent heralds into the cities; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:54 إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَشِرْذِمَةٌ قَلِيلُونَ
26:54 Most surely these are a small company; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:55 وَإِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَآئِظُونَ
26:55 And most surely they have enraged us; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:56 وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَـٰذِرُونَ
26:56 And most surely we are a vigilant multitude. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:57 فَأَخْرَجْنَـٰهُم مِّن جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
26:57 So We turned them out of gardens and springs, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:58 وَكُنُوزٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ
26:58 And treasures and goodly dwellings, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:59 كَذَٰلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَـٰهَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
26:59 Even so. And We gave them as a heritage to the children of Israel. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:60 فَأَتْبَعُوهُم مُّشْرِقِينَ
26:60 Then they pursued them at sunrise. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:61 فَلَمَّا تَرَٰٓءَا ٱلْجَمْعَانِ قَالَ أَصْحَـٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ
26:61 So when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa cried out: Most surely we are being overtaken. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:62 قَالَ كَلَّآ ۖ إِنَّ مَعِىَ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ
26:62 He said: By no means; surely my Lord is with me: He will show me a way out. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:63 فَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلْبَحْرَ ۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَٱلطَّوْدِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
26:63 Then We revealed to Musa: Strike the sea with your staff. So it had cloven asunder, and each part was like a huge mound. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:64 وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
26:64 And We brought near, there, the others. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:65 وَأَنجَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ
26:65 And We saved Musa and those with him, all of them. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:66 ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
26:66 Then We drowned the others. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:67 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:67 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:68 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:68 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:69 وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
26:69 And recite to them the story of Ibrahim. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:70 إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ
26:70 When he said to his father and his people: What do you worship? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:71 قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَـٰكِفِينَ
26:71 They said: We worship idols, so we shall be their votaries. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:72 قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ
26:72 He said: Do they hear you when you call? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:73 أَوْ يَنفَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ
26:73 Or do they profit you or cause you harm? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:74 قَالُوا۟ بَلْ وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ
26:74 They said: Nay, we found our fathers doing so. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:75 قَالَ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ
26:75 He said: Have you then considered what you have been worshipping: - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:76 أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ ٱلْأَقْدَمُونَ
26:76 You and your ancient sires. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:77 فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِّىٓ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:77 Surely they are enemies to me, but not (so) the Lord of the worlds; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:78 ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَنِى فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ
26:78 Who created me, then He has shown me the way: - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:79 وَٱلَّذِى هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِى وَيَسْقِينِ
26:79 And He Who gives me to eat and gives me to drink: - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:80 وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ
26:80 And when I am sick, then He restores me to health - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:81 وَٱلَّذِى يُمِيتُنِى ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ
26:81 And He Who will cause me to die, then give me life; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:82 وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لِى خَطِيٓـَٔتِى يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ
26:82 And Who, I hope, will forgive me my mistakes on the day of judgment. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:83 رَبِّ هَبْ لِى حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِى بِٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
26:83 My Lord: Grant me wisdom, and join me with the good - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:84 وَٱجْعَل لِّى لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
26:84 And ordain for me a goodly mention among posterity - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:85 وَٱجْعَلْنِى مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
26:85 And make me of the heirs of the garden of bliss - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:86 وَٱغْفِرْ لِأَبِىٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
26:86 And forgive my father, for surely he is of those who have gone astray; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:87 وَلَا تُخْزِنِى يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ
26:87 And disgrace me not on the day when they are raised - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:88 يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ
26:88 The day on which property will not avail, nor sons - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:89 إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ
26:89 Except him who comes to Allah with a heart free (from evil). - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:90 وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
26:90 And the garden shall be brought near for those who guard (against evil), - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:91 وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِلْغَاوِينَ
26:91 And the hell shall be made manifest to the erring ones, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:92 وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ
26:92 And it shall be said to them: Where are those that you used to worship; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:93 مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ هَلْ يَنصُرُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنتَصِرُونَ
26:93 Besides Allah? Can they help you or yet help themselves? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:94 فَكُبْكِبُوا۟ فِيهَا هُمْ وَٱلْغَاوُۥنَ
26:94 So they shall be thrown down into it, they and the erring ones, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:95 وَجُنُودُ إِبْلِيسَ أَجْمَعُونَ
26:95 And the hosts of the Shaitan, all. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:96 قَالُوا۟ وَهُمْ فِيهَا يَخْتَصِمُونَ
26:96 They shall say while they contend therein: - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:97 تَٱللَّهِ إِن كُنَّا لَفِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
26:97 By Allah! we were certainly in manifest error, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:98 إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:98 When we made you equal to the Lord of the worlds; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:99 وَمَآ أَضَلَّنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
26:99 And none but the guilty led us astray; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:100 فَمَا لَنَا مِن شَـٰفِعِينَ
26:100 So we have no intercessors, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:101 وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٍ
26:101 Nor a true friend; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:102 فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:102 But if we could but once return, we would be of the believers. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:103 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:103 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:104 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:104 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:105 كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:105 The people of Nuh rejected the apostles. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:106 إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:106 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:107 إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:107 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:108 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:108 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:109 وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:109 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds: - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:110 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:110 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:111 ۞ قَالُوٓا۟ أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَٱتَّبَعَكَ ٱلْأَرْذَلُونَ
26:111 They said: Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:112 قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِى بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
26:112 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they do? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:113 إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّى ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ
26:113 Their account is only with my Lord, if you could perceive - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:114 وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:114 And I am not going to drive away the believers; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:115 إِنْ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
26:115 I am naught but a plain warner. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:116 قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَـٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَرْجُومِينَ
26:116 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:117 قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى كَذَّبُونِ
26:117 He said: My Lord! Surely my people give me the lie! - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:118 فَٱفْتَحْ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِى وَمَن مَّعِىَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:118 Therefore judge Thou between me and them with a (just) judgment, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:119 فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ
26:119 So We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:120 ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ
26:120 Then We drowned the rest afterwards - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:121 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:121 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:122 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:122 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:123 كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:123 Ad gave the lie to the apostles. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:124 إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:124 When their brother Hud said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:125 إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:125 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:126 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:126 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:127 وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:127 And I do not ask you any reward for it; surely my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:128 أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ ءَايَةً تَعْبَثُونَ
26:128 Do you build on every height a monument? Vain is it that you do: - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:129 وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ
26:129 And you make strong fortresses that perhaps you may - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:130 وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُم بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ
26:130 And when you lay hands (on men) you lay hands (like) tyrants; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:131 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:131 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:132 وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ
26:132 And be careful of (your duty to) Him Who has given you abundance of what you know. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:133 أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنْعَـٰمٍ وَبَنِينَ
26:133 He has given you abundance of cattle and children - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:134 وَجَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
26:134 And gardens and fountains; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:135 إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
26:135 Surely I fear for you the chastisement of a grievous day - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:136 قَالُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ
26:136 They said: It is the same to us whether you admonish or are not one of the admonishers - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:137 إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا خُلُقُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
26:137 This is naught but a custom of the ancients; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:138 وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
26:138 And we are not going to be punished. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:139 فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:139 So they gave him the lie, then We destroyed them. Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:140 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:140 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:141 كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:141 Samood gave the lie to the apostles - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:142 إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَـٰلِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:142 When their brother Salih said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:143 إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:143 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:144 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:144 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:145 وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:145 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds: - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:146 أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِى مَا هَـٰهُنَآ ءَامِنِينَ
26:146 Will you be left secure in what is here; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:147 فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
26:147 In gardens and fountains, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:148 وَزُرُوعٍ وَنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌ
26:148 And cornfields and palm-trees having fine spadices? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:149 وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا فَـٰرِهِينَ
26:149 And you hew houses out of the mountains exultingly; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:150 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:150 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:151 وَلَا تُطِيعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ
26:151 And do not obey the bidding of the extravagant, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:152 ٱلَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ
26:152 Who make mischief in the land and do not act aright. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:153 قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ
26:153 They said: You are only of the deluded ones; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:154 مَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
26:154 You are naught but a mortal like ourselves; so bring a sign if you are one of the truthful. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:155 قَالَ هَـٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةٌ لَّهَا شِرْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
26:155 He said: This is a she-camel; she shall have her portion of water, and you have your portion of water on an appointed time; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:156 وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
26:156 And do not touch her with evil, lest the punishment of a grievous day should overtake you. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:157 فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ نَـٰدِمِينَ
26:157 But they hamstrung her, then regretted; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:158 فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:158 So the punishment overtook them. Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:159 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:159 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:160 كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:160 The people of Lut gave the lie to the apostles. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:161 إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:161 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:162 إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:162 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:163 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:163 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:164 وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:164 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:165 أَتَأْتُونَ ٱلذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:165 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:166 وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُم مِّنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُم ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ
26:166 And leave what your Lord has created for you of your wives? Nay, you are a people exceeding limits. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:167 قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَـٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْرَجِينَ
26:167 They said: If you desist not, O Lut! you shall surely be of those who are expelled. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:168 قَالَ إِنِّى لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلْقَالِينَ
26:168 He said: Surely I am of those who utterly abhor your doing; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:169 رَبِّ نَجِّنِى وَأَهْلِى مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ
26:169 My Lord! deliver me and my followers from what they do. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:170 فَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ
26:170 So We delivered him and his followers all, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:171 إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِى ٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ
26:171 Except an old woman, among those who remained behind. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:172 ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
26:172 Then We utterly destroyed the others. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:173 وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًا ۖ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
26:173 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:174 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:174 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:175 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:175 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:176 كَذَّبَ أَصْحَـٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:176 The dwellers of the thicket gave the lie to the apostles. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:177 إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:177 When Shu'aib said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:178 إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:178 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:179 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:179 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:180 وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:180 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:181 ۞ أَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْسِرِينَ
26:181 Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:182 وَزِنُوا۟ بِٱلْقِسْطَاسِ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ
26:182 And weigh (things) with a right balance, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:183 وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشْيَآءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ
26:183 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:184 وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ وَٱلْجِبِلَّةَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
26:184 And guard against (the punishment of) Him who created you and the former nations. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:185 قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ
26:185 They said: You are only of those deluded; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:186 وَمَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ
26:186 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:187 فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
26:187 Therefore cause a portion of the heaven to come down upon us, if you are one of the truthful. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:188 قَالَ رَبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
26:188 He said: My Lord knows best what you do. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:189 فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
26:189 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:190 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:190 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:191 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:191 And most surely your Lord is Mighty, the Merciful. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:192 وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَنزِيلُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:192 And most surely this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:193 نَزَلَ بِهِ ٱلرُّوحُ ٱلْأَمِينُ
26:193 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:194 عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ
26:194 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:195 بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِىٍّ مُّبِينٍ
26:195 In plain Arabic language. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:196 وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِى زُبُرِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
26:196 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:197 أَوَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ ءَايَةً أَن يَعْلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَـٰٓؤُا۟ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
26:197 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:198 وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَـٰهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضِ ٱلْأَعْجَمِينَ
26:198 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:199 فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَيْهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنِينَ
26:199 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:200 كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكْنَـٰهُ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
26:200 Thus have We caused it to enter into the hearts of the guilty. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:201 لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ
26:201 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:202 فَيَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
26:202 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:203 فَيَقُولُوا۟ هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنظَرُونَ
26:203 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:204 أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
26:204 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:205 أَفَرَءَيْتَ إِن مَّتَّعْنَـٰهُمْ سِنِينَ
26:205 Have you then considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:206 ثُمَّ جَآءَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُوعَدُونَ
26:206 Then there comes to them that with which they are threatened, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:207 مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُمَتَّعُونَ
26:207 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:208 وَمَآ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ
26:208 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:209 ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ
26:209 To remind, and We are never unjust. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:210 وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ
26:210 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:211 وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
26:211 And it behoves them not, and they have not the power to do (it). - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:212 إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ
26:212 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:213 فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَ
26:213 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:214 وَأَنذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ ٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ
26:214 And warn your nearest relations, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:215 وَٱخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:215 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:216 فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
26:216 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:217 وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
26:217 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:218 ٱلَّذِى يَرَىٰكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ
26:218 Who sees you when you stand up. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:219 وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِى ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
26:219 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:220 إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
26:220 Surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:221 هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ
26:221 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:222 تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ
26:222 They descend upon every lying, sinful one, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:223 يُلْقُونَ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَـٰذِبُونَ
26:223 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:224 وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلْغَاوُۥنَ
26:224 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:225 أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى كُلِّ وَادٍ يَهِيمُونَ
26:225 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:226 وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ
26:226 And that they say that which they do not do, - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
26:227 إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَىَّ مُنقَلَبٍ يَنقَلِبُونَ
26:227 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. - Mohammad Habib Shakir (English)
