بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
26:1
طسٓمٓ
26:1
Ta. Sin Mim. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:2
تِلْكَ ءَايَـٰتُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ
26:2
These are the verses of a Book luminous. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:3
لَعَلَّكَ بَـٰخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ
26:3
Belike thou shalt kill thyself with grief because they become not believers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:4
إِن نَّشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ءَايَةً فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَـٰقُهُمْ لَهَا خَـٰضِعِينَ
26:4
If We list, We can send down unto them a sign from the heaven so that their necks would became to it submissive. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:5
وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ
26:5
And there cometh not unto them any fresh admonition from the Compassionate but they are wont to be there from backsliders. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:6
فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا۟ فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنۢبَـٰٓؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
26:6
So they have surely belied; wherefore anon there shall come unto them the truth of that whereat they were wont to mock. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:7
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ
26:7
Observe they not the earth, how much We make to grow therein of every fruitful kind? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:8
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:8
Verily therein is a sign; yet most of them are not believers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:9
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:9
And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:10
وَإِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱئْتِ ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
26:10
And recall what time thy Lord called unto Musa, saying: go thou unto the wrong-doing people. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:11
قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ
26:11
The people of Fir'awn; fear they Me not? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:12
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُكَذِّبُونِ
26:12
He said: my Lord! verily I fear they shall belie me. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:13
وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِى وَلَا يَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِى فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَىٰ هَـٰرُونَ
26:13
And my breast straiteneth, and my tongue moveth not quickly: so send for Harun. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:14
وَلَهُمْ عَلَىَّ ذَنۢبٌ فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ
26:14
And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they shall slay me. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:15
قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ فَٱذْهَبَا بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ ۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسْتَمِعُونَ
26:15
He said: by no means. so go ye twain with Our signs; verily We shall be with you listening. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:16
فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَآ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:16
So go ye twain unto Fir'awn and say: verily we are the apostles of the Lord of the Worlds, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:17
أَنْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
26:17
Send with us the Children of Isra'il? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:18
قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ
26:18
Fir'awn said: brought we not thee up amongst us as a child? And thou tarriedst amongst us for many years of thy life? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:19
وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ ٱلَّتِى فَعَلْتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
26:19
And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst; and thou art of the ingrates. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:20
قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَآ إِذًا وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
26:20
He said: I did it then when I was mistaken. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:21
فَفَرَرْتُ مِنكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِى رَبِّى حُكْمًا وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:21
Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord bestowed on me wisdom and made me one of the sent ones. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:22
وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَىَّ أَنْ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
26:22
And that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the Children of Isra'il? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:23
قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَا رَبُّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:23
Fir'awn said. and what is the Lord of the worlds? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:24
قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ
26:24
He said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between, if ye seek to be convinced. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:25
قَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُۥٓ أَلَا تَسْتَمِعُونَ
26:25
Fir'awn said unto those around him: hear ye not? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:26
قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
26:26
He said: your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:27
قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُونٌ
26:27
Fir'awn said: verily your apostle who hath been sent unto you is mad. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:28
قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
26:28
He said: Lord of the east and the west and whatsoever is in-between, if ye understand. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:29
قَالَ لَئِنِ ٱتَّخَذْتَ إِلَـٰهًا غَيْرِى لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمَسْجُونِينَ
26:29
Fir'awn said: if thou wilt take a god other than me, I shall surely place thee among the prisoners. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:30
قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَىْءٍ مُّبِينٍ
26:30
He said: even though I bring unto thee something manifest? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:31
قَالَ فَأْتِ بِهِۦٓ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
26:31
Fir'awn said: forth with it then, if thou art of the truth- tellers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:32
فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُّبِينٌ
26:32
Then he cast down his staff, and lo! it was a serpent manifest. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:33
وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِىَ بَيْضَآءُ لِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ
26:33
And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it was white unto the beholders. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:34
قَالَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُۥٓ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَسَـٰحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ
26:34
Fir'awn said unto the chiefs around him: verily this is a magician knowing. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:35
يُرِيدُ أَن يُخْرِجَكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِكُم بِسِحْرِهِۦ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ
26:35
He would drive you out of your land through his magic; what then is it ye command? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:36
قَالُوٓا۟ أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبْعَثْ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَـٰشِرِينَ
26:36
They said: put off him and his brother, and send unto the cities callers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:37
يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٍ
26:37
Thot they may bring to thee every magician knowing. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:38
فَجُمِعَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَـٰتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
26:38
So the magicians were assembled at a set time on a day made known. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:39
وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّجْتَمِعُونَ
26:39
And it was said unto the people: are ye going to assemble. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:40
لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ٱلسَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ
26:40
Belike we may follow the magicians if they are the winners? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:41
فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا۟ لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحْنُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ
26:41
Then when the magicians came, they said unto Fir'awn: will there surely be a big hire for us if we are the winners? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:42
قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
26:42
He said: yea; and ye shall verily then be of those brought nigh. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:43
قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلْقُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ
26:43
Musa said unto them: cast whatsoever ye have to cast. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:44
فَأَلْقَوْا۟ حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُوا۟ بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ
26:44
Then they cast their cords and their staves, and said: by the might of Fir'awn, verily we! we shall be the winners. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:45
فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ
26:45
Then Musa cast down his staff, and lo! it swallowed up that which they had devised. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:46
فَأُلْقِىَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَـٰجِدِينَ
26:46
Then the magicians flung themselves prostrate. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:47
قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:47
They said: we believe in the Lord of the worlds. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:48
رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ
26:48
The Lord of Musa and Harun. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:49
قَالَ ءَامَنتُمْ لَهُۥ قَبْلَ أَنْ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُم مِّنْ خِلَـٰفٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
26:49
Fir'awn said: ye believed in him ere I gave you leave. Verily he is your chief who hath taught you magic, so ye shall surely come to know. Surely I shall cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides and surely I shall crucify you all. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:50
قَالُوا۟ لَا ضَيْرَ ۖ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ
26:50
They said: no harm! verily unto our Lord we are to return. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:51
إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَـٰيَـٰنَآ أَن كُنَّآ أَوَّلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:51
Verily we long that our Lord shall forgive us our faults because we have been the first of the believers - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:52
۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِىٓ إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ
26:52
And We revealed unto Musa saying: go by night with My bondmen verily ye shall be pursued. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:53
فَأَرْسَلَ فِرْعَوْنُ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَـٰشِرِينَ
26:53
Then Fir'awn sent unto the cities callers: - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:54
إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَشِرْذِمَةٌ قَلِيلُونَ
26:54
Verily these are but a band small. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:55
وَإِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَآئِظُونَ
26:55
And verily they have enraged US. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:56
وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَـٰذِرُونَ
26:56
And verily we are host well-provided. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:57
فَأَخْرَجْنَـٰهُم مِّن جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
26:57
Then We drave them forth from gardens and springs. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:58
وَكُنُوزٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ
26:58
And treasures and a station noble. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:59
كَذَٰلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَـٰهَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
26:59
Even so. And We caused the Children of Isra'il to inherit them. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:60
فَأَتْبَعُوهُم مُّشْرِقِينَ
26:60
Then they pursued them at sunrise. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:61
فَلَمَّا تَرَٰٓءَا ٱلْجَمْعَانِ قَالَ أَصْحَـٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ
26:61
And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:62
قَالَ كَلَّآ ۖ إِنَّ مَعِىَ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ
26:62
Musa said: by no means; verily with me is my Lord; He shall guide me. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:63
فَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلْبَحْرَ ۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَٱلطَّوْدِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
26:63
Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:64
وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
26:64
And We brought near thither the others. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:65
وَأَنجَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ
26:65
And We delivered Musa and those with him together. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:66
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
26:66
Then We drowned the others. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:67
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:67
Verily herein is a sign; but most of them are not believers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:68
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:68
And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:69
وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
26:69
And recite unto them the story of Ibrahim. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:70
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ
26:70
When he said unto his father and his people: what worship ye? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:71
قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَـٰكِفِينَ
26:71
They said: we worship idols, and we are unto them ever devoted - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:72
قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ
26:72
He said: hearken they unto you when ye cry? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:73
أَوْ يَنفَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ
26:73
Or, benefit they you or hurt they you? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:74
قَالُوا۟ بَلْ وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ
26:74
They said: nay; but we found our fathers doing in this wise. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:75
قَالَ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ
26:75
He said: have ye observed that which ye worship - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:76
أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ ٱلْأَقْدَمُونَ
26:76
Ye and your fathers of old? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:77
فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِّىٓ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:77
Verily they are an enemy unto me, save the Lord of the worlds. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:78
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَنِى فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ
26:78
Who hath created me, and He guideth me. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:79
وَٱلَّذِى هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِى وَيَسْقِينِ
26:79
He Who feedeth me and giveth me to drink. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:80
وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ
26:80
And when I sicken, then He healeth me. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:81
وَٱلَّذِى يُمِيتُنِى ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ
26:81
And He Who shall cause me to die, and then shall quicken me. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:82
وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لِى خَطِيٓـَٔتِى يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ
26:82
And He Who, long, shall forgive me my faults, on the Day of Requital. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:83
رَبِّ هَبْ لِى حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِى بِٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
26:83
My Lord! bestow on me wisdom and join me with the righteous. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:84
وَٱجْعَل لِّى لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
26:84
And appoint for me an honourable mention among the posterity - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:85
وَٱجْعَلْنِى مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
26:85
And make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Delight. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:86
وَٱغْفِرْ لِأَبِىٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
26:86
And forgive my father; verily he is of the erring. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:87
وَلَا تُخْزِنِى يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ
26:87
And humiliate me not on the Day whereon people shall be raised. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:88
يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ
26:88
The Day whereon will profit neither substance nor sons. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:89
إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ
26:89
Unless it be he, who shall bring unto Allah a whole heart, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:90
وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
26:90
And the Garden shall be brought nigh to the God, fearing. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:91
وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِلْغَاوِينَ
26:91
And the Fierce Fire shall be made apparent unto the seduced ones. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:92
وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ
26:92
And it shall be said unto them where is that which ye were wont to worship? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:93
مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ هَلْ يَنصُرُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنتَصِرُونَ
26:93
Beside Allah? Can they succour you or succour themselves? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

فَكُبْكِبُوا۟ فِيهَا هُمْ وَٱلْغَاوُۥنَ
26:94
Then they shall be hurled therein, they and the seduced ones. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

وَجُنُودُ إِبْلِيسَ أَجْمَعُونَ
26:95
And the hosts of Iblis together. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

قَالُوا۟ وَهُمْ فِيهَا يَخْتَصِمُونَ
26:96
And they, While contending therein, shall say: - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:97
تَٱللَّهِ إِن كُنَّا لَفِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
26:97
By Allah, we have indeed been in an error manifest. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:98
إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:98
When we equalled you with the Lord of the worlds. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:99
وَمَآ أَضَلَّنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
26:99
And none led us astray except the Culprits. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:100
فَمَا لَنَا مِن شَـٰفِعِينَ
26:100
So none we have as intercessors. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:101
وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٍ
26:101
Nor any loving friend. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:102
فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:102
Were there for us a return, we would be of the believers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:103
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:103
Verily herein is a sign, but most of them are not believers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:104
And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:105
And Nuh's people belied the sent ones. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:106
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:106
When their brother Nuh said Unto them: fear ye not? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:107
إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:107
Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:108
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:108
So fear Allah and obey me. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:109
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:109
And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:110
So fear Allah and obey me. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:111
۞ قَالُوٓا۟ أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَٱتَّبَعَكَ ٱلْأَرْذَلُونَ
26:111
They said: shall We believe in thee when the meanest follow thee? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:112
قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِى بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
26:112
He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:113
إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّى ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ
26:113
Their reckoning is upon my Lord, if ye but knew. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:114
وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:114
And I am not to drive away the believers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:115
إِنْ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
26:115
I am naught but a warner manifest. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:116
قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَـٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَرْجُومِينَ
26:116
They said: if thou desistest not, thou shalt surely be of those stoned. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى كَذَّبُونِ
26:117
He said: my Lord! verily my people have belied me. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:118
فَٱفْتَحْ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِى وَمَن مَّعِىَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:118
So decide Thou between me and them with a decision, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ
26:119
Wherefore We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:120
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ
26:120
Then We drowned the rest thereafter. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:121
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:121
Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:122
And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:123
The'Aad belied the sent ones. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:124
When their brother Hud said Unto them: fear ye not? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:125
إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:125
Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:126
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:126
So fear Allah and obey me. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:127
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ ءَايَةً تَعْبَثُونَ

Build ye on every eminence a landmark in vanity? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ
26:129
And take ye for yourselves castles that haply ye may abide. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُم بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ
26:130
And when ye seize, ye seize like unto tyrants. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:131
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:131
So fear Allah, and obey me. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:132
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ
26:132
And fear Him Who hath aided you with that which ye know. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنْعَـٰمٍ وَبَنِينَ
26:133
He hath aided you With Cattle and sons. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:134
وَجَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
26:134
And gardens and springs. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:135
إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
26:135
Verily I fear for you the torment of a Mighty Day. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

قَالُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ
26:136
They said: it is equal unto us whether thou admonishest or art not of the admonishers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا خُلُقُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
26:137
This in but a custom of the ancients. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
26:138
And we are not going to be tormented. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:139
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:139
And they belied him; so We destroyed them. Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَـٰلِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:142
When their brother Salih said unto them: fear ye not? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:143
Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِى مَا هَـٰهُنَآ ءَامِنِينَ

فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
26:147
In gardens and springs. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

وَزُرُوعٍ وَنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌ
26:148
And corn-fields and palm-trees whereof the spathes are fine? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:149
وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا فَـٰرِهِينَ
26:149
And hew ye out houses in the mountains skilfully! g - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:150
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:150
So fear Allah, and obey me. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:151
وَلَا تُطِيعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ
26:151
And obey not the command of the extravagant. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:152
ٱلَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ
26:152
Who work corruption in the land and rectify not. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:153
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ
26:153
They said: thou art but one of the bewitched; - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:154
مَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
26:154
Thou art but a human being like unto us. So bring thou a sign if thou art of the truth-tellers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

قَالَ هَـٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةٌ لَّهَا شِرْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
26:155
He said: yonder is a she-camel; to her a drink, and to you a drink, each on a day known. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
26:156
And touch her not with ill, lest there take hold of you the torment of a Mighty Day. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ نَـٰدِمِينَ
26:157
Then they hamstrung her; and then they became regretful. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:158
فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

So the torment took hold of them: verily herein is a sign, but most of them are not believers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

The people of Lut belied the sent ones. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

أَتَأْتُونَ ٱلذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُم مِّنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُم ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ
26:166
And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَـٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْرَجِينَ
26:167
They said: if thou desistest not, O Lut! thou shalt surely be of those driven forth. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

قَالَ إِنِّى لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلْقَالِينَ
26:168
He said: verily I am of those who abhor your work. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

رَبِّ نَجِّنِى وَأَهْلِى مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ
26:169
My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:170
فَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ
26:170
So We delivered him and his household all. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:171
إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِى ٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ
26:171
Save an old woman among the lingerers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:172
ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
26:172
Thereafter We annihilated the rest. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:173
وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًا ۖ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
26:173
And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:174
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:174
Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

كَذَّبَ أَصْحَـٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:177
What time Shu'aib, said unto them: fear ye not? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:178
Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:179
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

۞ أَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْسِرِينَ

Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

وَزِنُوا۟ بِٱلْقِسْطَاسِ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ
26:182
And weigh with a balance straight. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:183
وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشْيَآءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ
26:183
And defraud not people of their things, and commit not corruption on the earth. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ وَٱلْجِبِلَّةَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
26:184
So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:185
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ
26:185
They said: thou art but of the bewitched; - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

وَمَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ
26:186
And thou art but a human being like unto us, and we deem thee to be of the liars. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:187
فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
26:187
So cause thou a fragment of the heaven to fall upon us, if thou art of the truth-tellers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

قَالَ رَبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
26:188
He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:189
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ

Thenn they belied him; wherefore there laid hold of -them the torment of day of shadow. Verily it was the torment of a Mighty Day. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَنزِيلُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

نَزَلَ بِهِ ٱلرُّوحُ ٱلْأَمِينُ

The Trusted spirit hath brought it down. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ
26:194
Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِىٍّ مُّبِينٍ
26:195
In plain Arabic speech. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:196
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِى زُبُرِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
26:196
And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

أَوَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ ءَايَةً أَن يَعْلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَـٰٓؤُا۟ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَـٰهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضِ ٱلْأَعْجَمِينَ

And had We revealed it unto any of the ncn-Arabs, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَيْهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنِينَ
26:199
And he had-read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:200
كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكْنَـٰهُ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
26:200
In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:201
لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ
26:201
They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:202
فَيَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
26:202
It shall come unto them on a sudden, and they shall not perceive. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:203
فَيَقُولُوا۟ هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنظَرُونَ
26:203
Then they will say: are we to be respited? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:204
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
26:204
Seek haste then they with our torment? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:205
أَفَرَءَيْتَ إِن مَّتَّعْنَـٰهُمْ سِنِينَ
26:205
Beholdest thou? - if We let them enjoy for years. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:206
ثُمَّ جَآءَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُوعَدُونَ
26:206
And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:207
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُمَتَّعُونَ
26:207
What shall that which they enjoyed avail them? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:208
وَمَآ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ
26:208
And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:209
ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ
26:209
By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:210
وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ
26:210
And the satans have not brought it down. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:211
وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
26:211
It behoveth them not, nor they can. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:212
إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ
26:212
Verily far from hearing are they removed. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:213
فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَ
26:213
So call not thou unto anot her god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

وَأَنذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ ٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ
26:214
And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:215
وَٱخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:215
And lower thou thy Wlng Unto those who follow thee as believers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:216
فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
26:216
And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:217
وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
26:217
And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:218
ٱلَّذِى يَرَىٰكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ
26:218
Who seeth thee when thou standest up - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:219
وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِى ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
26:219
And thy movements among those who fall prostrate. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:220
إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
26:220
Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:221
هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ
26:221
Shall declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:222
تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ
26:222
They descend upon every calumniator, sinner. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:223
يُلْقُونَ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَـٰذِبُونَ
26:223
Who give ear, and most of them are liars. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:224
وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلْغَاوُۥنَ
26:224
As for the poets -it is the seduced who follow them. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:225
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى كُلِّ وَادٍ يَهِيمُونَ
26:225
Observest thou not, that they Wander about every vale. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:226
وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ
26:226
And that they say that which they do not? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
26:227
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَىَّ مُنقَلَبٍ يَنقَلِبُونَ
26:227
Save those who believed and worked righteous works and remembered Allah much, and vindicated themselves after they had been wronged. And anon those who do wrong shall come to know with what a translating they shall be translated. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
