بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

75:1 لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ

I swear by the Day of Resurrection.

75:2 وَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلنَّفْسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ
75:2
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
And I swear by the self-reproaching soul.

75:3 أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ
75:3
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones?

75:4 بَلَىٰ قَـٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّىَ بَنَانَهُۥ
75:4
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips.

75:5 بَلْ يُرِيدُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ
75:5
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him.

75:6 يَسْـَٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ
75:6

He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be?

75:7 فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلْبَصَرُ
75:7
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
When, then, the sight shall be confounded.

75:8 وَخَسَفَ ٱلْقَمَرُ
75:8
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
And the moon shall be ecliped.

75:9 وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ
75:9
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
And the sun and the moon shall be joined.

75:10 يَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ ٱلْمَفَرُّ
75:10
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing.

75:11 كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ
75:11

By no means! NO refuge!

75:12 إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ
75:12

Unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse.

75:13 يُنَبَّؤُا۟ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ
75:13
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind.

75:14 بَلِ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٌ
75:14
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment.

75:15 وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ
75:15
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
Although he may put forth his pleas.

75:16 لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِۦٓ
75:16
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
Move not thy tongue therewith that thou mayest hasten therewith.

75:17 إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُۥ وَقُرْءَانَهُۥ

Verily upon us is the collecting thereof and the reciting thereof.

75:18 فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَـٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعْ قُرْءَانَهُۥ
75:18
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
Wherefore when We reciteit, follow thou the reciting thereof.

75:19 ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُۥ

And thereafter verily upon us is is the expounding thereof.

75:20 كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ

Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
By no means! Verily ye love the Herein.

75:21 وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ
75:21
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
And leave the Hereafter.

75:22 وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌ
75:22
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent,

75:23 إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ
75:23
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
Looking toward their Lord.

75:24 وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بَاسِرَةٌ
75:24
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
And countenances on that Day shall be scowling.

75:25 تَظُنُّ أَن يُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌ

Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity.

75:26 كَلَّآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِىَ
75:26
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
By no means! When it cometh up to he collar-bone.

75:27 وَقِيلَ مَنْ ۜ رَاقٍ
75:27
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
And it is cried. who can charm?

75:28 وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ٱلْفِرَاقُ

Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting.

75:29 وَٱلْتَفَّتِ ٱلسَّاقُ بِٱلسَّاقِ
75:29
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
And one shank is entangled with the other shank.

75:30 إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمَسَاقُ

Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
Unto thy Lord that Day is the drive.

75:31 فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ

He neither believed nor prayed,

75:32 وَلَـٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
75:32
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
But he belied and turned away.

75:33 ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ
75:33
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
Then he departed Unto his house hold conceitedly.

75:34 أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ

Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
Woe Unto thee; woe!

75:35 ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰٓ
75:35
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
Again, woe Unto thee, woe!

75:36 أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَن يُتْرَكَ سُدًى
75:36
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
Deemest man that he is to be left uncontrolled?

75:37 أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِّن مَّنِىٍّ يُمْنَىٰ

Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
Was he not a sperm of emission emitted?

75:38 ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ

Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
Then he became a clot; then He created him and formed him.

75:39 فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ
75:39
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
And made of him the two sexes, male and female.

75:40 أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَـٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحْـِۧىَ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
75:40
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English) :
Is not That One then Able to quicken the dead?
