بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
93:1
وَٱلضُّحَىٰ
93:1
By the glorious morning light; - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
93:2
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ
93:2
and by the night when it darkens, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
93:3
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ
93:3
your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
93:4
وَلَلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
93:4
and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
93:5
وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ
93:5
soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
93:6
أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَـَٔاوَىٰ
93:6
Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
93:7
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّا فَهَدَىٰ
93:7
Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
93:8
وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ
93:8
Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
93:9
فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ
93:9
Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
93:10
وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ
93:10
and do not chide the one who asks for help; - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
93:11
وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ
93:11
but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
