بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
77:1
وَٱلْمُرْسَلَـٰتِ عُرْفًا
77:1
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:2
فَٱلْعَـٰصِفَـٰتِ عَصْفًا
77:2
by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:3
وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا
77:3
by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:4
فَٱلْفَـٰرِقَـٰتِ فَرْقًا
77:4
by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:5
فَٱلْمُلْقِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا
77:5
and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:6
عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
77:6
to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:7
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
77:7
that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:8
فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ
77:8
Then the stars will lose their light. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:9
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ
77:9
Heavens will rent asunder. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:10
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ
77:10
The mountains will be blown away as dust. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:11
وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ
77:11
The Messengers will receive their appointments. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:12
لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ
77:12
If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:13
لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:13
one will be told,"To the Day of Distinction". - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:14
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:14
Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:15
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:15
On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:16
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:16
Did We not destroy the ancient people - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:17
ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
77:17
and make others settle after them in their land? - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:18
كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
77:18
Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:19
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:19
On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:20
أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ
77:20
Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:21
فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ
77:21
and place it in a secure place - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:22
إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
77:22
for an appointed time? - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:23
فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَـٰدِرُونَ
77:23
Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:24
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:24
On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:25
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا
77:25
Did We not make the earth as a gathering place - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:26
أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَٰتًا
77:26
for the living and the dead, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:27
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَـٰمِخَـٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا
77:27
place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:28
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:28
On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:29
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
77:29
Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:30
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِى ثَلَـٰثِ شُعَبٍ
77:30
Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:31
لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
77:31
which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:32
إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ كَٱلْقَصْرِ
77:32
The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:33
كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَـٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ
77:33
and yellow camels. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:34
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:34
On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:35
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
77:35
On that day they will not be able to speak, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:36
وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
77:36
nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:37
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:37
On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:38
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَـٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:38
That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:39
فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ
77:39
If you have any plans, use them. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:40
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:40
On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:41
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَـٰلٍ وَعُيُونٍ
77:41
The pious ones will rest amid the shade, springs, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:42
وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
77:42
and fruits of the kind which they desire. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:43
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
77:43
(They will be told), "Eat and drink in good health as a reward for what you have done". - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:44
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
77:44
Thus do We reward the righteous ones. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:45
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:45
On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:46
كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ
77:46
(Disbelievers), eat and enjoy yourselves for a little while. You are certainly sinful ones. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:47
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:47
On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:48
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ
77:48
When they are told to say their prayers, they do not bow down (in prayer). - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:49
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:49
On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
77:50
فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ
77:50
In which word other than the Quran will they believe? - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
