بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
77:1
وَٱلْمُرْسَلَـٰتِ عُرْفًا
77:1
By the Mursalat `Urfa. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:2
فَٱلْعَـٰصِفَـٰتِ عَصْفًا
77:2
The `Asifat `Asfa. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:3
وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا
77:3
And the Nashirat Nashra. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:4
فَٱلْفَـٰرِقَـٰتِ فَرْقًا
77:4
The Fariqat that separate. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:5
فَٱلْمُلْقِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا
77:5
The Mulqiyat that remind, - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:6
عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
77:6
Excusing or warning. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:7
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
77:7
Surely, what you are promised will occur. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:8
فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ
77:8
Then when the stars lose their lights. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:9
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ
77:9
And when Furijat the heaven. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:10
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ
77:10
And when the mountains are blown away. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:11
وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ
77:11
And when the Messengers are Uqqitat. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:12
لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ
77:12
For what Day are these signs postponed - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:13
لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:13
For the Day of Sorting Out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:14
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:14
And what will explain to you what is the Day of Sorting Out - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:15
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:15
Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:16
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:16
Did We not destroy the ancients - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:17
ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
77:17
So shall We make later generations to follow them. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:18
كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
77:18
Thus do We deal with the criminals. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:19
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:19
Woe that Day to the deniers! - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:20
أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ
77:20
Did We not create you from a despised water - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:21
فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ
77:21
Then We placed it in a place of safety, - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:22
إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
77:22
For a known period - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:23
فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَـٰدِرُونَ
77:23
So We did measure; and We are the best to measure. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:24
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:24
Woe that Day to the deniers! - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:25
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا
77:25
Have We not made the earth Kifat (a receptacle) - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:26
أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَٰتًا
77:26
For the living and the dead - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:27
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَـٰمِخَـٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا
77:27
And have placed therein fixed towers, and have given you Furat water - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:28
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:28
Woe that Day to the deniers! - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:29
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
77:29
(It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny!" - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:30
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِى ثَلَـٰثِ شُعَبٍ
77:30
"Depart you to a shadow in three columns," - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:31
لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
77:31
"Neither shady nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:32
إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ كَٱلْقَصْرِ
77:32
Verily, it (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr, - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:33
كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَـٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ
77:33
As if they were Sufr camels. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:34
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:34
Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:35
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
77:35
That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:36
وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
77:36
And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:37
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:37
Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:38
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَـٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:38
That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:39
فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ
77:39
So, if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:40
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:40
Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:41
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَـٰلٍ وَعُيُونٍ
77:41
Verily, those who had Taqwa, shall be amidst shades and springs. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:42
وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
77:42
And fruits, such as they desire. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:43
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
77:43
"Eat and drink comfortably for that which you used to do." - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:44
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
77:44
Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinin. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:45
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:45
Woe that Day to the deniers! - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:46
كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ
77:46
Eat and enjoy yourselves for a little while. Verily, you are criminals. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:47
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:47
Woe that Day to the deniers! - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:48
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ
77:48
And when it is said to them: "Bow down yourself!" They bow not down. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:49
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:49
Woe that Day to the deniers! - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
77:50
فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ
77:50
Then in what statement after this will they believe - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
