Transliteration
Wahiduddin Khan
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
77:1
وَٱلْمُرْسَلَـٰتِ عُرْفًا
77:1
By those unleashed in succession. - Talal Itani (English)
77:2
فَٱلْعَـٰصِفَـٰتِ عَصْفًا
77:2
Storming turbulently. - Talal Itani (English)
77:3
وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا
77:3
Scattering far and wide. - Talal Itani (English)
77:4
فَٱلْفَـٰرِقَـٰتِ فَرْقًا
77:4
Separating decisively. - Talal Itani (English)
77:5
فَٱلْمُلْقِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا
77:5
Delivering a message. - Talal Itani (English)
77:6
عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
77:6
Excusing or warning. - Talal Itani (English)
77:7
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
77:7
Surely what you are promised will happen. - Talal Itani (English)
77:8
فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ
77:8
When the stars are obliterated. - Talal Itani (English)
77:9
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ
77:9
And the sky is fractured. - Talal Itani (English)
77:10
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ
77:10
And the mountains are blown away. - Talal Itani (English)
77:11
وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ
77:11
And the messengers are alerted. - Talal Itani (English)
77:12
لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ
77:12
Until which day is it deferred? - Talal Itani (English)
77:13
لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:13
Until the Day of Decision. - Talal Itani (English)
77:14
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:14
And what will teach you what the Day of Decision is? - Talal Itani (English)
77:15
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:15
Woe on that Day to the liars. - Talal Itani (English)
77:16
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:16
Did We not destroy the ancients? - Talal Itani (English)
77:17
ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
77:17
Then succeeded them with the others? - Talal Itani (English)
77:18
كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
77:18
This is how We deal with the guilty. - Talal Itani (English)
77:19
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:19
Woe on that Day to the rejecters. - Talal Itani (English)
77:20
أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ
77:20
Did We not create you from an insignificant fluid? - Talal Itani (English)
77:21
فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ
77:21
Then lodged it in a secure place? - Talal Itani (English)
77:22
إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
77:22
For a known term? - Talal Itani (English)
77:23
فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَـٰدِرُونَ
77:23
We measured precisely. We are the best to measure. - Talal Itani (English)
77:24
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:24
Woe on that Day to the falsifiers. - Talal Itani (English)
77:25
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا
77:25
Did We not make the earth a homestead? - Talal Itani (English)
77:26
أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَٰتًا
77:26
For the living and the dead? - Talal Itani (English)
77:27
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَـٰمِخَـٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا
77:27
And set on it lofty mountains, and given you pure water to drink? - Talal Itani (English)
77:28
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:28
Woe on that Day to the deniers. - Talal Itani (English)
77:29
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
77:29
“Proceed to what you used to deny.” - Talal Itani (English)
77:30
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِى ثَلَـٰثِ شُعَبٍ
77:30
“Proceed to a shadow of three different masses.” - Talal Itani (English)
77:31
لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
77:31
Offering no shade, and unavailing against the flames. - Talal Itani (English)
77:32
إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ كَٱلْقَصْرِ
77:32
It shoots sparks as castles. - Talal Itani (English)
77:33
كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَـٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ
77:33
As if they were yellow camels. - Talal Itani (English)
77:34
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:34
Woe on that Day to the liars. - Talal Itani (English)
77:35
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
77:35
This is a Day when they will not speak. - Talal Itani (English)
77:36
وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
77:36
And they will not be allowed to apologize. - Talal Itani (English)
77:37
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:37
Woe on that Day to the rejecters. - Talal Itani (English)
77:38
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَـٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:38
This is the Day of Separation; We have gathered you, together with the ancients. - Talal Itani (English)
77:39
فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ
77:39
So if you have a strategy, use it against Me. - Talal Itani (English)
77:40
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:40
Woe on that Day to the falsifiers. - Talal Itani (English)
77:41
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَـٰلٍ وَعُيُونٍ
77:41
The righteous will be amidst shades and fountains. - Talal Itani (English)
77:42
وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
77:42
And fruits as they desire. - Talal Itani (English)
77:43
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
77:43
“Eat and drink pleasantly, for what you used to do.” - Talal Itani (English)
77:44
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
77:44
This is how We reward the doers of good. - Talal Itani (English)
77:45
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:45
Woe on that Day to the deniers. - Talal Itani (English)
77:46
كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ
77:46
“Eat and enjoy yourselves a little; you are indeed criminals.” - Talal Itani (English)
77:47
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:47
Woe on that Day to the liars. - Talal Itani (English)
77:48
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ
77:48
And when it is said to them, “Kneel”, they do not kneel. - Talal Itani (English)
77:49
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:49
Woe on that Day to the rejecters. - Talal Itani (English)
77:50
فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ
77:50
In what message, beyond this, will they believe? - Talal Itani (English)
