بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
84:1
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتْ
84:1
When the heavens are rent asunder - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:2
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ
84:2
in obedience to the commands of their Lord which are incumbent on them, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:3
وَإِذَا ٱلْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ
84:3
when the earth is stretched out - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:4
وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ
84:4
and throws out of itself all that it contains - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:5
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ
84:5
in obedience to the commands of its Lord which are incumbent on it, (the human being will receive due recompense for his deeds). - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:6
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلَـٰقِيهِ
84:6
Human being, you strive hard to get closer to your Lord, and so you will certainly receive the recompense (of your deeds). - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:7
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ
84:7
The reckoning of those whose Book of records will be given into their right hands - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:8
فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا
84:8
will be easy, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:9
وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا
84:9
and they will return to their people, delighted - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:10
وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهِۦ
84:10
But as for those whose Book of records will be given behind their backs, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:11
فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًا
84:11
they will say, "Woe to us!" - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:12
وَيَصْلَىٰ سَعِيرًا
84:12
They will suffer the heat of hell fire. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:13
إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِىٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا
84:13
They lived among their people joyfully - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:14
إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ
84:14
and had thought that they would never be brought back to life again. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:15
بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرًا
84:15
This is a fact. Their Lord is Well-Aware of (all that they do). - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:16
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلشَّفَقِ
84:16
I do not need to swear by the sunset, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:17
وَٱلَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ
84:17
or by the night in which things all come together to rest, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:18
وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا ٱتَّسَقَ
84:18
or by the moon when it is full, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:19
لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٍ
84:19
that you will certainly pass through one stage after another. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:20
فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
84:20
What is the matter with them? Why do they not believe? - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:21
وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ ۩
84:21
Why, when the Quran is recited to them, do they not prostrate themselves? - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:22
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُكَذِّبُونَ
84:22
In fact, they reject the Quran, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:23
وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ
84:23
but God knows best whatever they accumulate in their hearts. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:24
فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
84:24
(Muhammad), tell them that they will all suffer a painful torment - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
84:25
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۭ
84:25
except the righteously striving believers, who will receive a never-ending reward. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
