بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
84:1
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتْ
84:1
When the sky is split open - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:2
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ
84:2
and gives ear to its Lord as it should. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:3
وَإِذَا ٱلْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ
84:3
When the earth is spread out - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:4
وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ
84:4
and throws out what is in it, emptying itself, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:5
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ
84:5
and gives ear to its Lord as it should. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:6
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلَـٰقِيهِ
84:6
O man! You are labouring toward your Lord laboriously, and you will encounter Him. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:7
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ
84:7
Then, as for him who is given his record [of deeds] in his right hand, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:8
فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا
84:8
he will receive an easy reckoning, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:9
وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا
84:9
and he will return to his folks joyfully. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:10
وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهِۦ
84:10
But as for him who is given his record from behind his back, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:11
فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًا
84:11
he will pray for annihilation - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:12
وَيَصْلَىٰ سَعِيرًا
84:12
and enter the Blaze. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:13
إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِىٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا
84:13
Indeed he used to be joyful among his folk, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:14
إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ
84:14
and he thought that he would never return. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:15
بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرًا
84:15
Yes, his Lord had been watching him. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:16
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلشَّفَقِ
84:16
I swear by the evening glow, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:17
وَٱلَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ
84:17
by the night and what it is fraught with, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:18
وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا ٱتَّسَقَ
84:18
by the moon when it blooms full: - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:19
لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٍ
84:19
you will surely fare from stage to stage. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:20
فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
84:20
What is the matter with them that they will not believe, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:21
وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ ۩
84:21
and will not prostrate when the Quran is recited to them? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:22
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُكَذِّبُونَ
84:22
Indeed, the faithless impugn [the Apostle], - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:23
وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ
84:23
and Allah knows best what they keep to themselves. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:24
فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
84:24
So inform them of a painful punishment, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
84:25
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۭ
84:25
excepting such as are faithful and do righteous deeds: for them there will be an everlasting reward. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
