بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
84:1
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتْ
84:1
When the sky is rent asunder, - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:2
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ
84:2
And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord, and it must needs (do so);- - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:3
وَإِذَا ٱلْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ
84:3
And when the earth is flattened out, - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:4
وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ
84:4
And casts forth what is within it and becomes (clean) empty, - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:5
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ
84:5
And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord,- and it must needs (do so);- (then will come Home the full reality). - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:6
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلَـٰقِيهِ
84:6
O thou man! Verily thou art ever toiling on towards thy Lord- painfully toiling,- but thou shalt meet Him. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:7
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ
84:7
Then he who is given his Record in his right hand, - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:8
فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا
84:8
Soon will his account be taken by an easy reckoning, - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:9
وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا
84:9
And he will turn to his people, rejoicing! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:10
وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهِۦ
84:10
But he who is given his Record behind his back,- - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:11
فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًا
84:11
Soon will he cry for perdition, - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:12
وَيَصْلَىٰ سَعِيرًا
84:12
And he will enter a Blazing Fire. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:13
إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِىٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا
84:13
Truly, did he go about among his people, rejoicing! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:14
إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ
84:14
Truly, did he think that he would not have to return (to Us)! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:15
بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرًا
84:15
Nay, nay! for his Lord was (ever) watchful of him! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:16
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلشَّفَقِ
84:16
So I do call to witness the ruddy glow of Sunset; - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:17
وَٱلَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ
84:17
The Night and its Homing; - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:18
وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا ٱتَّسَقَ
84:18
And the Moon in her fullness: - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:19
لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٍ
84:19
Ye shall surely travel from stage to stage. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:20
فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
84:20
What then is the matter with them, that they believe not?- - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:21
وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ ۩
84:21
And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate, - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:22
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُكَذِّبُونَ
84:22
But on the contrary the Unbelievers reject (it). - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:23
وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ
84:23
But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts) - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:24
فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
84:24
So announce to them a Penalty Grievous, - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
84:25
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۭ
84:25
Except to those who believe and work righteous deeds: For them is a Reward that will never fail. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
