بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
84:1
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتْ
84:1
When the sky is ruptured. - Talal Itani (English)
84:2
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ
84:2
And hearkens to its Lord, as it must. - Talal Itani (English)
84:3
وَإِذَا ٱلْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ
84:3
And when the earth is leveled out. - Talal Itani (English)
84:4
وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ
84:4
And casts out what is in it, and becomes empty. - Talal Itani (English)
84:5
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ
84:5
And hearkens to its Lord, as it must. - Talal Itani (English)
84:6
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلَـٰقِيهِ
84:6
O man! You are laboring towards your Lord, and you will meet Him. - Talal Itani (English)
84:7
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ
84:7
As for him who is given his book in his right hand. - Talal Itani (English)
84:8
فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا
84:8
He will have an easy settlement. - Talal Itani (English)
84:9
وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا
84:9
And will return to his family delighted. - Talal Itani (English)
84:10
وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهِۦ
84:10
But as for him who is given his book behind his back. - Talal Itani (English)
84:11
فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًا
84:11
He will call for death. - Talal Itani (English)
84:12
وَيَصْلَىٰ سَعِيرًا
84:12
And will enter the Blaze. - Talal Itani (English)
84:13
إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِىٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا
84:13
He used to be happy among his family. - Talal Itani (English)
84:14
إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ
84:14
He thought he would never return. - Talal Itani (English)
84:15
بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرًا
84:15
In fact, his Lord was watching him. - Talal Itani (English)
84:16
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلشَّفَقِ
84:16
I swear by the twilight. - Talal Itani (English)
84:17
وَٱلَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ
84:17
And by the night, and what it covers. - Talal Itani (English)
84:18
وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا ٱتَّسَقَ
84:18
And by the moon, as it grows full. - Talal Itani (English)
84:19
لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٍ
84:19
You will mount stage by stage. - Talal Itani (English)
84:20
فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
84:20
What is the matter with them that they do not believe? - Talal Itani (English)
84:21
وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ ۩
84:21
And when the Quran is read to them, they do not bow down? - Talal Itani (English)
84:22
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُكَذِّبُونَ
84:22
In fact, those who disbelieve are in denial. - Talal Itani (English)
84:23
وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ
84:23
But God knows what they hide inside. - Talal Itani (English)
84:24
فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
84:24
So inform them of a painful punishment. - Talal Itani (English)
84:25
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۭ
84:25
Except those who believe and do good deeds; they will have an undiminished reward. - Talal Itani (English)
