Wahiduddin Khan
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
55:1
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ
55:1
The Compassionate. - Talal Itani (English)
55:2
عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ
55:2
Has taught the Quran. - Talal Itani (English)
55:3
خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
55:3
He created man. - Talal Itani (English)
55:4
عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ
55:4
And taught him clear expression. - Talal Itani (English)
55:5
ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ
55:5
The sun and the moon move according to plan. - Talal Itani (English)
55:6
وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ
55:6
And the stars and the trees prostrate themselves. - Talal Itani (English)
55:7
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ
55:7
And the sky, He raised; and He set up the balance. - Talal Itani (English)
55:8
أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ
55:8
So do not transgress in the balance. - Talal Itani (English)
55:9
وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ
55:9
But maintain the weights with justice, and do not violate the balance. - Talal Itani (English)
55:10
وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ
55:10
And the earth; He set up for the creatures. - Talal Itani (English)
55:11
فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ
55:11
In it are fruits, and palms in clusters. - Talal Itani (English)
55:12
وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ
55:12
And grains in the blades, and fragrant plants. - Talal Itani (English)
55:13
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:13
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:14
خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ
55:14
He created man from hard clay, like bricks. - Talal Itani (English)
55:15
وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ
55:15
And created the jinn from a fusion of fire. - Talal Itani (English)
55:16
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:16
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:17
رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ
55:17
Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests. - Talal Itani (English)
55:18
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:18
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:19
مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ
55:19
He merged the two seas, converging together. - Talal Itani (English)
55:20
بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ
55:20
Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. - Talal Itani (English)
55:21
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:21
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:22
يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ
55:22
From them emerge pearls and coral. - Talal Itani (English)
55:23
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:23
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:24
وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَـٰمِ
55:24
His are the ships, raised above the sea like landmarks. - Talal Itani (English)
55:25
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:25
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:26
كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ
55:26
Everyone upon it is perishing. - Talal Itani (English)
55:27
وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
55:27
But will remain the Presence of your Lord, Full of Majesty and Splendor. - Talal Itani (English)
55:28
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:28
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:29
يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍ
55:29
Everyone in the heavens and the earth asks Him. Every day He is managing. - Talal Itani (English)
55:30
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:30
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:31
سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ
55:31
We will attend to you, O prominent two. - Talal Itani (English)
55:32
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:32
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:33
يَـٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ
55:33
O society of jinn and humans! If you can pass through the bounds of the heavens and the earth, go ahead and pass. But you will not pass except with authorization. - Talal Itani (English)
55:34
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:34
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:35
يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ
55:35
You will be bombarded with flares of fire and brass, and you will not succeed. - Talal Itani (English)
55:36
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:36
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:37
فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَٱلدِّهَانِ
55:37
When the sky splits apart, and becomes rose, like paint. - Talal Itani (English)
55:38
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:38
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:39
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
55:39
On that Day, no human and no jinn will be asked about his sins. - Talal Itani (English)
55:40
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:40
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:41
يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَـٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ
55:41
The guilty will be recognized by their marks; they will be taken by the forelocks and the feet. - Talal Itani (English)
55:42
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:42
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:43
هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
55:43
This is Hell that the guilty denied. - Talal Itani (English)
55:44
يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍ
55:44
They circulate between it and between a seething bath. - Talal Itani (English)
55:45
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:45
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:46
وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ
55:46
But for him who feared the standing of his Lord are two gardens. - Talal Itani (English)
55:47
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:47
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:48
ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍ
55:48
Full of varieties. - Talal Itani (English)
55:49
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:49
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:50
فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ
55:50
In them are two flowing springs. - Talal Itani (English)
55:51
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:51
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:52
فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ
55:52
In them are fruits of every kind, in pairs. - Talal Itani (English)
55:53
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:53
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:54
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ
55:54
Reclining on furnishings lined with brocade, and the fruits of the two gardens are near at hand. - Talal Itani (English)
55:55
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:55
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:56
فِيهِنَّ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
55:56
In them are maidens restraining their glances, untouched before by any man or jinn. - Talal Itani (English)
55:57
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:57
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:58
كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ
55:58
As though they were rubies and corals. - Talal Itani (English)
55:59
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:59
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:60
هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنُ
55:60
Is the reward of goodness anything but goodness? - Talal Itani (English)
55:61
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:61
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:62
وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ
55:62
And beneath them are two gardens. - Talal Itani (English)
55:63
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:63
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:64
مُدْهَآمَّتَانِ
55:64
Deep green. - Talal Itani (English)
55:65
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:65
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:66
فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ
55:66
In them are two gushing springs. - Talal Itani (English)
55:67
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:67
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:68
فِيهِمَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ
55:68
In them are fruits, and date-palms, and pomegranates. - Talal Itani (English)
55:69
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:69
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:70
فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌ
55:70
In them are good and beautiful ones. - Talal Itani (English)
55:71
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:71
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:72
حُورٌ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ
55:72
Companions, secluded in the tents. - Talal Itani (English)
55:73
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:73
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:74
لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
55:74
Whom no human has touched before, nor jinn. - Talal Itani (English)
55:75
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:75
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:76
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍ
55:76
Reclining on green cushions, and exquisite carpets. - Talal Itani (English)
55:77
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:77
So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? - Talal Itani (English)
55:78
تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
55:78
Blessed be the name of your Lord, Full of Majesty and Splendor. - Talal Itani (English)
