Wahiduddin Khan
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
55:1
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ
55:1
The Merciful - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:2
عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ
55:2
who taught the Quran -- - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:3
خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
55:3
He created man - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:4
عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ
55:4
and He taught him speech. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:5
ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ
55:5
The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:6
وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ
55:6
the stars and the trees bend in prostration. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:7
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ
55:7
He raised the heavens and set up the measure, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:8
أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ
55:8
so that you should not transgress the measure. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:9
وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ
55:9
Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:10
وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ
55:10
He has laid out the earth for His creatures. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:11
فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ
55:11
On it are fruits and palm-trees with sheathed clusters [of dates], - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:12
وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ
55:12
and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:13
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:13
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:14
خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ
55:14
He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:15
وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ
55:15
and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:16
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:16
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:17
رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ
55:17
He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:18
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:18
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:19
مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ
55:19
He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:20
بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ
55:20
Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:21
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:21
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:22
يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ
55:22
Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:23
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:23
Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:24
وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَـٰمِ
55:24
His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:25
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:25
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:26
كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ
55:26
All that is on the earth is doomed to perish, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:27
وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
55:27
while your Lord's own Self will remain full of majesty and glory. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:28
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:28
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:29
يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍ
55:29
Everyone in the heavens and on the earth entreats Him. Every day He manifests Himself in a new state. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:30
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:30
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:31
سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ
55:31
Soon We shall attend to you -- two big groups [of jinn and mankind]. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:32
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:32
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:33
يَـٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ
55:33
O company of jinn and men! If you have the power to go beyond the realms of the heavens and the earth, pass beyond them: you cannot pass out but with [Our] authority. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:34
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:35
يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ
55:35
Flames of fire and molten brass shall be sent against both of you, and you will not be able to defend yourselves. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:36
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:36
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:37
فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَٱلدِّهَانِ
55:37
When the sky is rent asunder, and becomes red like red leather, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:38
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:38
which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:39
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
55:39
For, on that Day, neither man nor jinn will be questioned about his sins. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:40
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:40
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:41
يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَـٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ
55:41
The guilty shall be recognized by their marks so they shall be seized by their forelocks and their feet. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:42
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:42
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:43
هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
55:43
This is the Hell which the guilty called a lie. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:44
يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍ
55:44
They will go round between its flames and boiling water. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:45
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:45
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:46
وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ
55:46
There are two gardens for one who fears standing before his Lord. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:47
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:47
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)

ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍ
55:48
[There will be two gardens with] spreading branches. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:49
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:49
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:50
فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ
55:50
In both of them, there are two springs flowing. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:51
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:51
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:52
فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ
55:52
In both of them, there will be two kinds of every fruit. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:53
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:53
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:54
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ
55:54
They will recline upon carpets lined with rich brocade; and the fruits of both these gardens will be within easy reach. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:55
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:55
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:56
فِيهِنَّ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
55:56
Therein are maidens of modest gaze, whom neither a man nor a jinn had ever touched before them. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:57
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:57
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:58
كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ
55:58
[There will be] maidens as fair as corals and rubies. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:59
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:59
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:60
هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنُ
55:60
The reward of goodness shall be nothing but goodness. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:61
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:61
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:62
وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ
55:62
Besides those two there shall be two other gardens. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:63
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:63
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:64
مُدْهَآمَّتَانِ
55:64
Both [gardens] of the darkest green. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:65
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:65
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:66
فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ
55:66
In both of them live springs gush forth. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:67
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:67
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:68
فِيهِمَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ
55:68
In both of them there will be fruit trees and date-palms and pomegranates. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:69
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:69
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:70
فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌ
55:70
Therein will be maidens chaste and beautiful. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:71
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:71
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:72
حُورٌ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ
55:72
[There the blessed will live with their] pure companions sheltered in pavilions. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:73
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:73
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:74
لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
55:74
Whom neither a man or jinn had ever touched before them. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:75
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:75
Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:76
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍ
55:76
[They will live in such a paradise] reclining upon green cushions and the finest carpets. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
55:77
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:77

تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
55:78
Blessed be your Lord's name, full of glory and majesty! - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
