بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
55:1
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ
55:1

عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
55:3

عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ
55:4

55:5
ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ
55:5
The sun and the moon are made punctual. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
55:6
وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ
55:6
The stars and the trees prostrate. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ
55:7
And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ
55:8
That ye exceed not the measure, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
55:9
وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ
55:9

وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ
55:10
And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ
55:11
Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
55:12
وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ
55:12
Husked grain and scented herb. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
55:13
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:13
Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ
55:14
He created man of clay like the potter's, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
55:15
وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ
55:15
And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
55:16
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:16
Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
55:17
رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ
55:17
Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:18

مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ
55:19
He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
55:20
بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ
55:20
There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:21

يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ
55:22
There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:23

وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَـٰمِ
55:24
His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
55:25
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:25

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ
55:26
Everyone that is thereon will pass away; - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
55:27
وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
55:27
There remaineth but the Countenance of thy Lord of Might and Glory. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:28

يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍ
55:29

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ
55:31
We shall dispose of you, O ye two dependents (man and jinn). - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:32

يَـٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ
55:33
O company of jinn and men, if ye have power to penetrate (all) regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate (them)! Ye will never penetrate them save with (Our) sanction. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ
55:35

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَٱلدِّهَانِ
55:37
And when the heaven splitteth asunder and becometh rosy like red hide - - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
55:38
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:38
Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? - - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
55:39
On that day neither man nor jinni will be questioned of his sin. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:40

يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَـٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ
55:41

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
55:43

يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍ
55:44
They go circling round between it and fierce, boiling water. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:45

وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ
55:46
But for him who feareth the standing before his Lord there are two gardens. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:47

ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍ
55:48
Of spreading branches. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
55:49
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ
55:50
Wherein are two fountains flowing. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
55:51
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:51
Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ
55:52
Wherein is every kind of fruit in pairs. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:53

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ
55:54

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

فِيهِنَّ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ

(In beauty) like the jacynth and the coral-stone. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:59
Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنُ
55:60
Is the reward of goodness aught save goodness? - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:61
Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ
55:62
And beside them are two other gardens, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

مُدْهَآمَّتَانِ
55:64
Dark green with foliage. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

فِيهِمَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ

Wherein is fruit, the date-palm and pomegranate. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌ

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

حُورٌ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ
55:72
Fair ones, close-guarded in pavilions - - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
55:73
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:73
Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? - - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
55:74
Whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them - - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:75

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍ
55:76

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
