بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

81:1 إِذَا ٱلشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ
81:1 When the sun shall be wound round, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:2 وَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ ٱنكَدَرَتْ
81:2 And when the stars shall dart down, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:3 وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ
81:3 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:4 وَإِذَا ٱلْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ
81:4 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:5 وَإِذَا ٱلْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ
81:5 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:6 وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ
81:6 And when the seas shall be filled, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:7 وَإِذَا ٱلنُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ
81:7 And when the souls he paired, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:8 وَإِذَا ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتْ
81:8 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:9 بِأَىِّ ذَنۢبٍ قُتِلَتْ
81:9 For what sin she was slain. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:10 وَإِذَا ٱلصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ
81:10 And when the Writs shall be lain open, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:11 وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتْ
81:11 And when the heaven shall be stripped, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:12 وَإِذَا ٱلْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ
81:12 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:13 وَإِذَا ٱلْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ
81:13 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:14 عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّآ أَحْضَرَتْ
81:14 Then every soul shall know that which it: hath presented. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:15 فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلْخُنَّسِ
81:15 I swear by the receding stars. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:16 ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْكُنَّسِ
81:16 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:17 وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ
81:17 And by the night when it departeth, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:18 وَٱلصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ
81:18 And by the morning when it shineth forth, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:19 إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ
81:19 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:20 ذِى قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِى ٱلْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ
81:20 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:21 مُّطَاعٍ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍ
81:21 Obeyed one there; trustWorthy. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:22 وَمَا صَاحِبُكُم بِمَجْنُونٍ
81:22 Nor is your companion distracted. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:23 وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْمُبِينِ
81:23 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:24 وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى ٱلْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍ
81:24 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:25 وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَـٰنٍ رَّجِيمٍ
81:25 Nor is it the word of a Satan accursed. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:26 فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ
81:26 Whither then go ye? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:27 إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
81:27 This is naught but an Admonition Unto the worlds- - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:28 لِمَن شَآءَ مِنكُمْ أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ
81:28 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

81:29 وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
81:29 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
