بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
86:1
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ
86:1
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
86:2
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ
86:2
What could let you know what the nightly comer is! - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
86:3
ٱلنَّجْمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ
86:3
(It is) the piercing star. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
86:4
إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ
86:4
For every soul there is a watcher. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
86:5
فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ
86:5
Let the human reflect of what he is created. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
86:6
خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٍ دَافِقٍ
86:6
He was created from ejaculated water - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
86:7
يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ ٱلصُّلْبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ
86:7
that issues from between the loins and the ribs. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
86:8
إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٌ
86:8
Surely, He is Able to bring him back, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
86:9
يَوْمَ تُبْلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ
86:9
on the Day when consciences are examined, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
86:10
فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٍ وَلَا نَاصِرٍ
86:10
when he will be helpless, with no supporter. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
86:11
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجْعِ
86:11
By the sky with its returning rain, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
86:12
وَٱلْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدْعِ
86:12
and by the earth bursting with vegetation; - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
86:13
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌ
86:13
this is indeed a Decisive Word, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
86:14
وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلْهَزْلِ
86:14
it is not a jest. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
86:15
إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًا
86:15
They are cunningly devising, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
86:16
وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًا
86:16
and I am cunningly devising. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
86:17
فَمَهِّلِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًۢا
86:17
Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
