51 Adh-Dhāriyāt ٱلذَّارِيَات

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

51:1 وَٱلذَّٰرِيَـٰتِ ذَرْوًا
51:1 By the winds which carry dust particles, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:2 فَٱلْحَـٰمِلَـٰتِ وِقْرًا
51:2 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:3 فَٱلْجَـٰرِيَـٰتِ يُسْرًا
51:3 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:4 فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَـٰتِ أَمْرًا
51:4 by the angels which distribute the affairs, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:5 إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ
51:5 that what you are promised is certainly true - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:6 وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
51:6 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:7 وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْحُبُكِ
51:7 By the beautiful heavens, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:8 إِنَّكُمْ لَفِى قَوْلٍ مُّخْتَلِفٍ
51:8 your ideas are confused. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:9 يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ
51:9 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:10 قُتِلَ ٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَ
51:10 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:11 ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ
51:11 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:12 يَسْـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
51:12 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:13 يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ
51:13 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:14 ذُوقُوا۟ فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
51:14 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:15 إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
51:15 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:16 ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ
51:16 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:17 كَانُوا۟ قَلِيلًا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ
51:17 They slept very little during the night - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:18 وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
51:18 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:19 وَفِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ
51:19 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:20 وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ءَايَـٰتٌ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ
51:20 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:21 وَفِىٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ ۚ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ
51:21 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:22 وَفِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ
51:22 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:23 فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ
51:23 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:24 هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ
51:24 Have you heard the story of the honorable guests of Abraham? - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:25 إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمًا ۖ قَالَ سَلَـٰمٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ
51:25 When they came to him saying, "Peace be with you," he replied to their greeting in the same manner and said to himself, "These are a strange people". - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:26 فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ
51:26 He went quietly to his wife and returned to his guests with a fat, roasted calf. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:27 فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
51:27 He placed it before them. Then he said, "Why are you not eating?" - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:28 فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَـٰمٍ عَلِيمٍ
51:28 He began to feel afraid. They said, "Do not be afraid," and then gave him the glad news of the birth of a knowledgeable son. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:29 فَأَقْبَلَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ فِى صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ
51:29 His wife came forward, crying and beating her face, saying, "I am an old barren woman!" - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:30 قَالُوا۟ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
51:30 They said, "This is true but your Lord has said, (that you will have a son); He is All-wise and All-knowing". - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:31 ۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
51:31 Abraham asked, "Messengers, what is your task?" - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:32 قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ
51:32 They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:33 لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن طِينٍ
51:33 to bring down upon them showers of marked lumps of clayy. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:34 مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ
51:34 They are transgressors in the presence of your Lord". - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:35 فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
51:35 We saved the believers among them, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:36 فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
51:36 but We found only one Muslim house. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:37 وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةً لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ
51:37 We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:38 وَفِى مُوسَىٰٓ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَـٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ
51:38 There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:39 فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَـٰحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
51:39 The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:40 فَأَخَذْنَـٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ
51:40 We seized him and his army and threw them into the sea. He himself was to be blamed. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:41 وَفِى عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلْعَقِيمَ
51:41 There is also evidence of the Truth in the story of Ad whom We struck with a violent wind - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:42 مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَىْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ
51:42 which turned everything it approached into dust. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:43 وَفِى ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
51:43 There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of the Thamud, who were told to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:44 فَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّـٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ
51:44 They transgressed against the command of their Lord. So a blast of sound struck them and they were unable to do anything but stare. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:45 فَمَا ٱسْتَطَـٰعُوا۟ مِن قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنتَصِرِينَ
51:45 They were unable to stand up, nor were they helped. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:46 وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَـٰسِقِينَ
51:46 The people of Noah who lived before them were also evil doing people. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:47 وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَـٰهَا بِأَيْي۟دٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ
51:47 We have made the heavens with Our own hands and We expanded it. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:48 وَٱلْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَـٰهَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَـٰهِدُونَ
51:48 We have spread out the earth and how brilliantly it is spread! - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:49 وَمِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
51:49 We have created everything in pairs so that perhaps you may take heed. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:50 فَفِرُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
51:50 (Muhammad), tell them,"Seek refuge in God. I have been sent from Him to plainly warn you. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:51 وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
51:51 Do not choose other gods besides Him. I have been sent from Him to plainly warn you". - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:52 كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا۟ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
51:52 In the same way no Messenger came to those who lived before them without his people calling him a magician or an insane person. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:53 أَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ
51:53 Have they inherited such dealings with the Prophets from their predecessors or are they a rebellious people? - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:54 فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍ
51:54 (Muhammad), leave them alone and you will not be blamed. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:55 وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
51:55 Keep on reminding them. This benefits the believers. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:56 وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ
51:56 We have created jinn and human beings only that they might worship Me. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:57 مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ
51:57 I do not expect to receive any sustenance from them or that they should feed Me. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:58 إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلْقُوَّةِ ٱلْمَتِينُ
51:58 It is God Who is the Sustainer and the Lord of invincible strength. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:59 فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ذَنُوبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَـٰبِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ
51:59 The unjust will bear a burden like that of their unjust predecessors. Let them not make Me bring immediate punishment upon them. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)

51:60 فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن يَوْمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ
51:60 Woe to the disbelievers when the day with which they have been threatened comes! - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
