بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
92:1
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ
92:1
By the night when it envelopeth, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:2
وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ
92:2
By the day when it appeareth in glory, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:3
وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ
92:3
By Him Who hath created the male and the female, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:4
إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ
92:4
Verily your endeavour is diverse. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:5
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ
92:5
Then as for him who giveths and feareth Him. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:6
وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
92:6
And testifieth to the Good, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:7
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
92:7
Unto him therefore We shall indeed make easy the path to ease. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:8
وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ
92:8
And as for him who stinteth and is heedless, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:9
وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
92:9
And who belieth the Good, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:10
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ
92:10
Unto him therefore We shall Indeed make easy the path to hardship. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:11
وَمَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ
92:11
And his substance will avail him not when he perisheth. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:12
إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ
92:12
Verify on us is the guidance - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:13
وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْـَٔاخِرَةَ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ
92:13
And verify Ours is both the Hereafter and the life present. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:14
فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ
92:14
Wherefore have warned you of Fire flaming, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:15
لَا يَصْلَىٰهَآ إِلَّا ٱلْأَشْقَى
92:15
None shall roast therein but the most wretched, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:16
ٱلَّذِى كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
92:16
Who belieth and turneth away. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:17
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَتْقَى
92:17
And avoid it shall the most pious, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:18
ٱلَّذِى يُؤْتِى مَالَهُۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰ
92:18
Who giveth away his substance that he may be cleansed, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:19
وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزَىٰٓ
92:19
And who hath no favour from anyone to recompense. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:20
إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ
92:20
But only seeking the Countenance of his Lord the Most High. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
92:21
وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ
92:21
And presently he shall become wellpleased. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
