ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
101:1

مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
101:2
What is the Calamity? - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
101:3
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
101:3
And what do you know what the Calamity is? - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
101:4
يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ
101:4
On that Day human beings shall be like scattered moths, - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
101:5
وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ
101:5
and the mountains shall be like fluffs of carded wool in varying colours. - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
101:6
فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
101:6
Then he whose scales weigh heavier - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
101:7
فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ
101:7
shall have a blissful life; - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
101:8
وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
101:8
but he whose scales weigh lighter, - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
101:9
فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌ
101:9
his shall be the deep pit for a dwelling. - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
101:10
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ
101:10
And what do you know what that is? - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
101:11
نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ
