بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
91:1
وَٱلشَّمْسِ وَضُحَىٰهَا
91:1
By the sun and its radiance. - Talal Itani (English)
91:2
وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَىٰهَا
91:2
And the moon as it follows it. - Talal Itani (English)
91:3
وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّىٰهَا
91:3
And the day as it reveals it. - Talal Itani (English)
91:4
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰهَا
91:4
And the night as it conceals it. - Talal Itani (English)
91:5
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنَىٰهَا
91:5
And the sky and He who built it. - Talal Itani (English)
91:6
وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَىٰهَا
91:6
And the earth and He who spread it. - Talal Itani (English)
91:7
وَنَفْسٍ وَمَا سَوَّىٰهَا
91:7
And the soul and He who proportioned it. - Talal Itani (English)
91:8
فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَىٰهَا
91:8
And inspired it with its wickedness and its righteousness. - Talal Itani (English)
91:9
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن زَكَّىٰهَا
91:9
Successful is he who purifies it. - Talal Itani (English)
91:10
وَقَدْ خَابَ مَن دَسَّىٰهَا
91:10
Failing is he who corrupts it. - Talal Itani (English)
91:11
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَىٰهَآ
91:11
Thamood denied in its pride. - Talal Itani (English)
91:12
إِذِ ٱنۢبَعَثَ أَشْقَىٰهَا
91:12
When it followed its most wicked. - Talal Itani (English)
91:13
فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ نَاقَةَ ٱللَّهِ وَسُقْيَـٰهَا
91:13
The messenger of God said to them, “This is the she-camel of God, so let her drink.” - Talal Itani (English)
91:14
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُم بِذَنۢبِهِمْ فَسَوَّىٰهَا
91:14
But they called him a liar, and hamstrung her. So their Lord crushed them for their sin, and leveled it. - Talal Itani (English)
91:15
وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبَـٰهَا
91:15
And He does not fear its sequel. - Talal Itani (English)
