بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

52:1 وَٱلطُّورِ
52:1 By the Mount; - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:2 وَكِتَـٰبٍ مَّسْطُورٍ
52:2 And by the Book Inscribed. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:3 فِى رَقٍّ مَّنشُورٍ
52:3 In parchment unrolled. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:4 وَٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْمَعْمُورِ
52:4 And by the Bait-ul-Ma'mur (the house over the heavens parable to the Ka'bah at Makkah, continuously visited by the angels); - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:5 وَٱلسَّقْفِ ٱلْمَرْفُوعِ
52:5 And by the roof raised high (i.e. the heaven). - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:6 وَٱلْبَحْرِ ٱلْمَسْجُورِ
52:6 And by the sea kept filled (or it will be fire kindled on the Day of Resurrection). - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:7 إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَٰقِعٌ

52:8 مَّا لَهُۥ مِن دَافِعٍ

52:9 يَوْمَ تَمُورُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ مَوْرًا
52:9 On the Day when the heaven will shake with a dreadful shaking, - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:10 وَتَسِيرُ ٱلْجِبَالُ سَيْرًا
52:10 And the mountains will move away with a (horrible) movement. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:11 فَوَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
52:11 Then woe that Day to the beliers; - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:12 ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى خَوْضٍ يَلْعَبُونَ
52:12 Who are playing in falsehood. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:13 يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا
52:13 The Day when they will be pushed down by force to the Fire of Hell, with a horrible, forceful pushing. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:14 هَـٰذِهِ ٱلنَّارُ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ

52:15 أَفَسِحْرٌ هَـٰذَآ أَمْ أَنتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ
52:15 Is this magic, or do you not see? - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:16 ٱصْلَوْهَا فَٱصْبِرُوٓا۟ أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
52:16 Taste you therein its heat, and whether you are patient of it or impatient of it, it is all the same. You are only being requited for what you used to do. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:17 إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَنَعِيمٍ
52:17 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in Gardens (Paradise), and Delight. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:18 فَـٰكِهِينَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
52:18 Enjoying in that which their Lord has bestowed on them, and (the fact that) their Lord saved them from the torment of the blazing Fire. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:19 كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
52:19 "Eat and drink with happiness because of what you used to do." - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:20 مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَّصْفُوفَةٍ ۖ وَزَوَّجْنَـٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍ
52:20 They will recline (with ease) on thrones arranged in ranks. And We shall marry them to Houris (female, fair ones) with wide lovely eyes. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:21 وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَـٰنٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَآ أَلَتْنَـٰهُم مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ ۚ كُلُّ ٱمْرِئٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌ
52:21 And those who believe and whose offspring follow them in Faith, to them shall We join their offspring, and We shall not decrease the reward of their deeds in anything. Every person is a pledge for that which he has earned. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:22 وَأَمْدَدْنَـٰهُم بِفَـٰكِهَةٍ وَلَحْمٍ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
52:22 And We shall provide them with fruit and meat, such as they desire. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:23 يَتَنَـٰزَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا لَّا لَغْوٌ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأْثِيمٌ
52:23 There they shall pass from hand to hand a (wine) cup, free from any Laghw (dirty, false, evil vague talk between them), and free from sin (because it will be legal for them to drink). - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:24 ۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌ لَّهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَّكْنُونٌ
52:24 And there will go round boy-servants of theirs, to serve them as if they were preserved pearls. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:25 وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
52:25 And some of them draw near to others, questioning. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:26 قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِىٓ أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ
52:26 Saying: "Aforetime, we were afraid with our families (from the punishment of Allah). - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:27 فَمَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَىٰنَا عَذَابَ ٱلسَّمُومِ
52:27 "But Allah has been gracious to us, and has saved us from the torment of the Fire. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:28 إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْبَرُّ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
52:28 "Verily, We used to invoke Him (Alone and none else) before. Verily, He is Al-Barr (the Most Subtle, Kind, Courteous, and Generous), the Most Merciful." - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:29 فَذَكِّرْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ
52:29 Therefore, remind and preach (mankind, O Muhammad SAW of Islamic Monotheism). By the Grace of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor a madman. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:30 أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِۦ رَيْبَ ٱلْمَنُونِ
52:30 Or do they say: "(Muhammad SAW is) a poet! We await for him some calamity by time! - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:31 قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا۟ فَإِنِّى مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ
52:31 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:32 أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَـٰمُهُم بِهَـٰذَآ ۚ أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ
52:32 Do their minds command them this [i.e. to tell a lie against you (Muhammad SAW)] or are they people exceeding the bounds (i.e. from Belief in Allah to disbelief). - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:33 أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُۥ ۚ بَل لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ
52:33 Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not! - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:34 فَلْيَأْتُوا۟ بِحَدِيثٍ مِّثْلِهِۦٓ إِن كَانُوا۟ صَـٰدِقِينَ
52:34 Let them then produce a recital like unto it (the Quran) if they are truthful. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:35 أَمْ خُلِقُوا۟ مِنْ غَيْرِ شَىْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْخَـٰلِقُونَ
52:35 Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators? - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:36 أَمْ خَلَقُوا۟ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ ۚ بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ
52:36 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:37 أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَآئِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْمُصَۣيْطِرُونَ
52:37 Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like? - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:38 أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُم بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ
52:38 Or have they a stairway (to heaven), by means of which they listen (to the talks of the angels)? Then let their listener produce some manifest proof. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:39 أَمْ لَهُ ٱلْبَنَـٰتُ وَلَكُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ
52:39 Or has He (Allah) only daughters and you have sons? - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:40 أَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُونَ
52:40 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask a wage from them (for your preaching of Islamic Monotheism) so that they are burdened with a load of debt? - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:41 أَمْ عِندَهُمُ ٱلْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ
52:41 Or that the Ghaib (unseen) is with them, and they write it down? - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:42 أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْمَكِيدُونَ
52:42 Or do they intend a plot (against you O Muhammad SAW)? But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) are themselves in a plot! - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:43 أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَـٰهٌ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ ۚ سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
52:43 Or have they an ilah (a god) other than Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him) - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:44 وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ كِسْفًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ سَاقِطًا يَقُولُوا۟ سَحَابٌ مَّرْكُومٌ
52:44 And if they were to see a piece of the heaven falling down, they would say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!" - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:45 فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَـٰقُوا۟ يَوْمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ
52:45 So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror). - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:46 يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ
52:46 The Day when their plotting shall not avail them at all nor will they be helped (i.e. they will receive their torment in Hell). - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:47 وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ عَذَابًا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
52:47 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this, but most of them know not. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 36]. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:48 وَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا ۖ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ
52:48 So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes, and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)

52:49 وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَإِدْبَـٰرَ ٱلنُّجُومِ
