بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
87:1
سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى
87:1
(Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:2
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
87:2
Who has created (all things) proportionately, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:3
وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ
87:3
decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:4
وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ
87:4
It is He who has caused the grass to grow, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:5
فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ
87:5
then caused it to wither away. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:6
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ
87:6
We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:7
إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ
87:7
unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:8
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
87:8
We shall make all your tasks easy. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:9
فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
87:9
Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:10
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ
87:10
Those who have fear of God will benefit - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:11
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى
87:11
but the reprobates will turn away - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:12
ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
87:12
and suffer the heat of the great fire - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:13
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ
87:13
wherein they will neither live nor die. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:14
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ
87:14
Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:15
وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ
87:15
remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:16
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
87:16
However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:17
وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
87:17
even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:18
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
87:18
This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
87:19
صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
87:19
the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
