بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
87:1
سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى
87:1
Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
87:2
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
87:2
Who createth, then disposeth; - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
87:3
وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ
87:3
Who measureth, then guideth; - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
87:4
وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ
87:4
Who bringeth forth the pasturage, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
87:5
فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ
87:5
Then turneth it to russet stubble. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
87:6
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ
87:6
We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
87:7
إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ
87:7
Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
87:8
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
87:8
And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
87:9
فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
87:9
Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
87:10
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ
87:10
He will heed who feareth, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
87:11
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى
87:11
But the most hapless will flout it, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
87:12
ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
87:12
He who will be flung to the great Fire - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
87:13
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ
87:13
Wherein he will neither die nor live. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
87:14
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ
87:14
He is successful who groweth, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
87:15
وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ
87:15
And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
87:16
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
87:16
But ye prefer the life of the world - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
87:17
وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
87:17
Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
87:18
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
87:18

صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
87:19
