بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
87:1
سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى
87:1
Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:2
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
87:2
who has created and shaped, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:3
وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ
87:3
who has ordained and guided, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:4
وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ
87:4
who brings forth the pastures, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:5
فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ
87:5
then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:6
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ
87:6
We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:7
إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ
87:7
except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:8
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
87:8
We shall ease you to the easy. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:9
فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
87:9
Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:10
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ
87:10
and he who fears shall remember, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:11
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى
87:11
but the most wretched shall avoid it, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:12
ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
87:12
who will roast in the Great Fire, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:13
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ
87:13
in which he will neither die nor live therein. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:14
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ
87:14
Prosperous is he who purifies himself, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:15
وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ
87:15
and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:16
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
87:16
But you prefer the present life, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:17
وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
87:17
but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:18
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
87:18
Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
87:19
صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
87:19
the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
