بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
104:1
وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ
104:1
Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
104:2
ٱلَّذِى جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ
104:2
who amasses wealth, counting it over, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
104:3
يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخْلَدَهُۥ
104:3
thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
104:4
كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِى ٱلْحُطَمَةِ
104:4
By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
104:5
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحُطَمَةُ
104:5
Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
104:6
نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُوقَدَةُ
104:6
It is a Fire kindled by God. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)

ٱلَّتِى تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةِ
104:7
Reaching right into the hearts of men, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)

إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ
104:8
it closes in on them from every side - Wahiduddin Khan (English)

فِى عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍۭ
104:9
