بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
87:1
سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى
87:1
Praise the Name of your Lord, the Most High. - Talal Itani (English)
87:2
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
87:2
He who creates and regulates. - Talal Itani (English)
87:3
وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ
87:3
He who measures and guides. - Talal Itani (English)
87:4
وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ
87:4
He who produces the pasture. - Talal Itani (English)
87:5
فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ
87:5
And then turns it into light debris. - Talal Itani (English)
87:6
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ
87:6
We will make you read, so do not forget. - Talal Itani (English)
87:7
إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ
87:7
Except what God wills. He knows what is declared, and what is hidden. - Talal Itani (English)
87:8
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
87:8
We will ease you into the Easy Way. - Talal Itani (English)
87:9
فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
87:9
So remind, if reminding helps. - Talal Itani (English)
87:10
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ
87:10
The reverent will remember. - Talal Itani (English)
87:11
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى
87:11
But the wretched will avoid it. - Talal Itani (English)
87:12
ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
87:12
He who will enter the Gigantic Fire. - Talal Itani (English)
87:13
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ
87:13
Where he will neither die, nor live. - Talal Itani (English)
87:14
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ
87:14
Successful is he who purifies himself. - Talal Itani (English)
87:15
وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ
87:15
And mentions the name of his Lord, and prays. - Talal Itani (English)
87:16
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
87:16
But you prefer the present life. - Talal Itani (English)
87:17
وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
87:17
Though the Hereafter is better, and more lasting. - Talal Itani (English)
87:18
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
87:18

صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
