بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
87:1
سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى
87:1
Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:2
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
87:2
Who has created, and then proportioned it. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:3
وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ
87:3
And Who has measured; and then guided. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:4
وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ
87:4
And Who brings out the pasturage, - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:5
فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ
87:5
And then makes it dark stubble. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:6
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ
87:6
We shall make you recite, so you shall not forget, - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:7
إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ
87:7
Except what Allah may will He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:8
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
87:8
And We shall make easy for you the easy. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:9
فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
87:9
Therefore remind in case the reminder profits. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:10
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ
87:10
The reminder will be received by him who fears, - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:11
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى
87:11
But it will be avoided by the wretched, - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:12
ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
87:12
Who will enter the great Fire. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:13
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ
87:13
There he will neither die nor live. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:14
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ
87:14
Indeed whosoever purifies himself shall achieve success. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:15
وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ
87:15
And remembers the Name of his Lord, and performs Salah. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:16
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
87:16
Rather you prefer the life of this world. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:17
وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
87:17
Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:18
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
87:18
Verily, this is in the former Scriptures - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
87:19
صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
87:19
The Scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. - Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (English)
