بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
82:1
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ
82:1
When the heaven shall be cleft, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:2
وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ
82:2
And when the stars shall be scattered, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:3
وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ
82:3
And when the seas are flowed out, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:4
وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ
82:4
And when the graves are ransacked, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:5
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ
82:5
Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:6
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ
82:6
O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:7
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
82:7
Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:8
فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ
82:8
In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:9
كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ
82:9
By no means! Aye, ye belie the the Requital. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:10
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَـٰفِظِينَ
82:10
Verify there are for you guardians, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:11
كِرَامًا كَـٰتِبِينَ
82:11
Honourablel scribes. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:12
يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
82:12
They know whatsoever ye do. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:13
إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ
82:13
Verily the pious shall be in Delight. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:14
وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍ
82:14
And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:15
يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ
82:15
Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:16
وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ
82:16
And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:17
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
82:17
And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:18
ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
82:18
Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
82:19
يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا ۖ وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ
82:19
It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
