ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ
55:1

عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ
55:2
has taught the Koran. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:3
خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
55:3
He created the human - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:4
عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ
55:4
and taught him its pronunciation. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:5
ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ
55:5
The sun and the moon to a reckoning. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:6
وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ
55:6
The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:7
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ
55:7
He raised the heaven on high and set the scale. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:8
أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ
55:8
Do not transgress the scales. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:9
وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ
55:9

55:10
وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ
55:10
He set down the earth for the creation. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:11
فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ
55:11
Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:12
وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ
55:12
the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:13
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:13
Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:14
خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ
55:14
He created the human from clay, like earthenware - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:15
وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ
55:15
and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:16
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:16

55:17
رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ
55:17
The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:18
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:18
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:19
مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ
55:19
He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:20
بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ
55:20
and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:21
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:21
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:22
يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ
55:22
Pearls and corals come from both. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:23
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:23
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:24
وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَـٰمِ
55:24
Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:25
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:25

55:26
كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ
55:26
All that live on it will perish. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:27
وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
55:27

55:28
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:28

يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍ
55:29
Whosoever is in the heaven and earth ask Him. Every day He is upon an affair (He reveals according to His Eternal determination). - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:30

55:31
سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ
55:31
We shall surely aim, O both burdened. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:32
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:32

55:33
يَـٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ
55:33
Tribe of jinn and of human, if you are able to penetrate the provinces of heaven and earth, pass through them! But you shall not pass through except with a power! - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

55:35
يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ
55:35
Flames of fire and molten copper shall be loosed against you, and you shall not be helped. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:36
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:36

55:37
فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَٱلدِّهَانِ
55:37
When the heaven splits asunder and turns crimson, like red leather. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:38
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:38
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:39
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
55:39
On that Day, neither human nor jinn shall be asked about his sin. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:40

55:41
يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَـٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ
55:41
The sinners shall be known by their mark, they shall be seized by their forelocks and their feet. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:42
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:42
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:43
هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
55:43
This is Gehenna (Hell) which the sinners belied, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:44
يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍ
55:44
they shall go round between it, and between a hot, boiling water. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:45
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:45
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:46
وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ
55:46
And for he who fears the standing (before) his Lord there are two Gardens. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:47
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:47
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:48
ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍ
55:48
(Gardens) with many branches. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:49
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:49
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:50
فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ
55:50
Therein are two running fountains. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:51
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:51
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:52
فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ
55:52
Therein are two kinds of every fruit. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:53
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:53
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:54
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ
55:54
(They shall) recline on couches lined with brocade, and the fruits of the Gardens will be near at hand. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:55
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:55
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:56
فِيهِنَّ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
55:56
Therein are maidens who restrain their glances, whom neither human nor jinn have touched before. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:57
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:57
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:58
كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ
55:58
As (lovely as) rubies and as (beautiful as) coral. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:59
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:59
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:60
هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنُ
55:60
Shall the recompense of goodness be anything other than goodness? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:61
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:61
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:62
وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ
55:62
And beside these there shall be two Gardens. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:63
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:63
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:64
مُدْهَآمَّتَانِ
55:64
The greenest of green pastures. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:65
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:65
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:66
فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ
55:66
Therein are two gushing fountains of water. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:67
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:67
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:68
فِيهِمَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ
55:68
In them are fruits, palm trees and pomegranates. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:69
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:69

55:70
فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌ
55:70
In them shall be good and pleasing. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:71
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:71
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:72
حُورٌ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ
55:72
Maidens (of Paradise, Houris) in cloistered cool pavilions. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:73
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:73
Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:74
لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
55:74
Neither human nor jinn will have touched them before. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:75
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:75

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍ
55:76
Reclining on green cushions and fine carpets. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
55:77
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:77

تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
55:78
