بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
82:1
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ
82:1
When the Sky is cleft asunder; - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)

وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ
82:2
When the Stars are scattered; - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
82:3
وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ
82:3
When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
82:4
وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ
82:4
And when the Graves are turned upside down;- - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
82:5
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ
82:5
(Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
82:6
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ
82:6
O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
82:7
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
82:7
Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
82:8
فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ
82:8
In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
82:9
كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ
82:9
Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
82:10
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَـٰفِظِينَ
82:10
But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
82:11
كِرَامًا كَـٰتِبِينَ
82:11
Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
82:12
يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
82:12
They know (and understand) all that ye do. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
82:13
إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ
82:13
As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
82:14
وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍ
82:14
And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
82:15
يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ
82:15
Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
82:16
وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ
82:16
And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
82:17
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
82:17
And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
82:18
ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
82:18
Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
82:19
يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا ۖ وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ
82:19
(It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
