بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
76:1
هَلْ أَتَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْإِنسَـٰنِ حِينٌ مِّنَ ٱلدَّهْرِ لَمْ يَكُن شَيْـًٔا مَّذْكُورًا
76:1
Indeed, there came upon the human a period of time when he was an unremembered thing. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:2
إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ أَمْشَاجٍ نَّبْتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ سَمِيعًۢا بَصِيرًا
76:2
We have created the human from a (sperm) drop, a mixture, testing him; We made him to hear and see. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:3
إِنَّا هَدَيْنَـٰهُ ٱلسَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا
76:3
Indeed, We have guided him to the path, he is either grateful or ungrateful. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:4
إِنَّآ أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ سَلَـٰسِلَا۟ وَأَغْلَـٰلًا وَسَعِيرًا
76:4
Indeed, for the unbelievers We have prepared chains, fetters and a Blazing (Fire). - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:5
إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ يَشْرَبُونَ مِن كَأْسٍ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًا
76:5
But the righteous shall drink of a goblet mixed with camphor; - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:6
عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا عِبَادُ ٱللَّهِ يُفَجِّرُونَهَا تَفْجِيرًا
76:6
a fountain at which the worshipers of Allah drink and make it gush forth abundantly; - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:7
يُوفُونَ بِٱلنَّذْرِ وَيَخَافُونَ يَوْمًا كَانَ شَرُّهُۥ مُسْتَطِيرًا
76:7
they who keep their vows and fear a Day whose evil is spread; - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:8
وَيُطْعِمُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِۦ مِسْكِينًا وَيَتِيمًا وَأَسِيرًا
76:8
who give food, for the love of Him to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:9
إِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُمْ لِوَجْهِ ٱللَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنكُمْ جَزَآءً وَلَا شُكُورًا
76:9
(saying): 'We feed you only desirous of the Face of Allah; we seek of you neither recompense nor thanks, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:10
إِنَّا نَخَافُ مِن رَّبِّنَا يَوْمًا عَبُوسًا قَمْطَرِيرًا
76:10
for we fear from our Lord a stern, frownful Day' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:11
فَوَقَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمِ وَلَقَّىٰهُمْ نَضْرَةً وَسُرُورًا
76:11
So Allah will save them from the evil of that Day and has secured for them radiance and joyfulness, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:12
وَجَزَىٰهُم بِمَا صَبَرُوا۟ جَنَّةً وَحَرِيرًا
76:12
and recompense them for their patience with a Garden, and robes of silk. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:13
مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ فِيهَا عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ ۖ لَا يَرَوْنَ فِيهَا شَمْسًا وَلَا زَمْهَرِيرًا
76:13
Reclining there upon couches, they shall see neither the sun nor the moon. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:14
وَدَانِيَةً عَلَيْهِمْ ظِلَـٰلُهَا وَذُلِّلَتْ قُطُوفُهَا تَذْلِيلًا
76:14
Near them shall be its shades with its clusters hung gently down, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:15
وَيُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِـَٔانِيَةٍ مِّن فِضَّةٍ وَأَكْوَابٍ كَانَتْ قَوَارِيرَا۠
76:15
and passed around them shall be silver vessels, and crystal goblets, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:16
قَوَارِيرَا۟ مِن فِضَّةٍ قَدَّرُوهَا تَقْدِيرًا
76:16
goblets of silver that they have precisely measured. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:17
وَيُسْقَوْنَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا زَنجَبِيلًا
76:17
And they shall be given to drink from a cup whose mixture is ginger, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:18
عَيْنًا فِيهَا تُسَمَّىٰ سَلْسَبِيلًا
76:18
from a fountain called Salsabila. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:19
۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَٰنٌ مُّخَلَّدُونَ إِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ حَسِبْتَهُمْ لُؤْلُؤًا مَّنثُورًا
76:19
Immortal youths will go about them, when you see them, you would suppose them to be scattered pearls. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:20
وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ ثَمَّ رَأَيْتَ نَعِيمًا وَمُلْكًا كَبِيرًا
76:20
When you see them, you see bliss, and a great Kingdom. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:21
عَـٰلِيَهُمْ ثِيَابُ سُندُسٍ خُضْرٌ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٌ ۖ وَحُلُّوٓا۟ أَسَاوِرَ مِن فِضَّةٍ وَسَقَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ شَرَابًا طَهُورًا
76:21
Upon them there will be garments of green silk, rich brocade, and they will be adorned with bracelets of silver. Their Lord will give them a pure beverage to drink. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:22
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا كَانَ لَكُمْ جَزَآءً وَكَانَ سَعْيُكُم مَّشْكُورًا
76:22
'See, this is your recompense, your striving is thanked' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:23
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ تَنزِيلًا
76:23
We have indeed, sent down to you the Koran, a (clear) sending, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:24
فَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعْ مِنْهُمْ ءَاثِمًا أَوْ كَفُورًا
76:24
therefore be patient under the Judgement of your Lord, and do not obey either the sinner or the unbeliever. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:25
وَٱذْكُرِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا
76:25
And, remember the Name of your Lord at the dawn and in the evening; - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:26
وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَٱسْجُدْ لَهُۥ وَسَبِّحْهُ لَيْلًا طَوِيلًا
76:26
and in the night prostrate to Him; and exalt Him for a long night. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:27
إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ يُحِبُّونَ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَآءَهُمْ يَوْمًا ثَقِيلًا
76:27
Indeed, these love the hasty life, and are heedless and leave behind them a heavy Day. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:28
نَّحْنُ خَلَقْنَـٰهُمْ وَشَدَدْنَآ أَسْرَهُمْ ۖ وَإِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَآ أَمْثَـٰلَهُمْ تَبْدِيلًا
76:28
We created them, and We strengthened their joints, but, when We will, We shall indeed exchange their likes. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:29
إِنَّ هَـٰذِهِۦ تَذْكِرَةٌ ۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلًا
76:29
This is indeed a Reminder, so that he who will, takes a path to his Lord. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:30
وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
76:30
Yet you will not unless Allah wills; surely, Allah is the Knower, the Wise. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
76:31
يُدْخِلُ مَن يَشَآءُ فِى رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ وَٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ أَعَدَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًۢا
76:31
He is Merciful to whom He will; but, for the harmdoers He has prepared for them a painful punishment. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
