بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

38:1 صٓ ۚ وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ذِى ٱلذِّكْرِ
38:1 Saad. By the renowned Quran. - Talal Itani (English)

38:2 بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى عِزَّةٍ وَشِقَاقٍ
38:2 Those who disbelieve are steeped in arrogance and defiance. - Talal Itani (English)

38:3 كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍ فَنَادَوا۟ وَّلَاتَ حِينَ مَنَاصٍ
38:3 How many generations have We destroyed before them? They cried out when it was too late to escape. - Talal Itani (English)

38:4 وَعَجِبُوٓا۟ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ ۖ وَقَالَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ هَـٰذَا سَـٰحِرٌ كَذَّابٌ
38:4 And they marveled that a warner has come to them from among them. The disbelievers said, “This is a lying magician.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:5 أَجَعَلَ ٱلْـَٔالِهَةَ إِلَـٰهًا وَٰحِدًا ۖ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَشَىْءٌ عُجَابٌ
38:5 “Did he turn all the gods into one God? This is something strange.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:6 وَٱنطَلَقَ ٱلْمَلَأُ مِنْهُمْ أَنِ ٱمْشُوا۟ وَٱصْبِرُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِكُمْ ۖ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَشَىْءٌ يُرَادُ
38:6 The notables among them announced: “Go on, and hold fast to your gods. This is something planned. - Talal Itani (English)

38:7 مَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَـٰذَا فِى ٱلْمِلَّةِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا ٱخْتِلَـٰقٌ
38:7 We never heard of this in the former faith. This is nothing but a fabrication. - Talal Itani (English)

38:8 أَءُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلذِّكْرُ مِنۢ بَيْنِنَا ۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِى شَكٍّ مِّن ذِكْرِى ۖ بَل لَّمَّا يَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِ
38:8 Was the message sent down to him, out of all of us?” In fact, they are doubtful of My warning. In fact, they have not yet tasted My punishment. - Talal Itani (English)

38:9 أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَآئِنُ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْوَهَّابِ
38:9 Or do they possess the treasuries of the mercy of your Lord—the Majestic, the Giver? - Talal Itani (English)

38:10 أَمْ لَهُم مُّلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ فَلْيَرْتَقُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَسْبَـٰبِ
38:10 Or do they possess the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend the ropes. - Talal Itani (English)

38:11 جُندٌ مَّا هُنَالِكَ مَهْزُومٌ مِّنَ ٱلْأَحْزَابِ
38:11 An army of confederates with be defeated there. - Talal Itani (English)

38:12 كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ ذُو ٱلْأَوْتَادِ
38:12 Before them the people of Noah denied the truth; as did Aad, and Pharaoh of the Stakes. - Talal Itani (English)

38:13 وَثَمُودُ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍ وَأَصْحَـٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ
38:13 And Thamood, and the people of Lot, and the dwellers of the Woods—these were the confederates. - Talal Itani (English)

38:14 إِن كُلٌّ إِلَّا كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ عِقَابِ
38:14 None of them but denied the messengers, so My retribution was deserved. - Talal Itani (English)

38:15 وَمَا يَنظُرُ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً مَّا لَهَا مِن فَوَاقٍ
38:15 These can expect only a single scream, from which there is no recovery. - Talal Itani (English)

38:16 وَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا عَجِّل لَّنَا قِطَّنَا قَبْلَ يَوْمِ ٱلْحِسَابِ
38:16 And they say, “Our Lord, hasten Your writ upon us, before the Day of Account.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:17 ٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَٱذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا دَاوُۥدَ ذَا ٱلْأَيْدِ ۖ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ
38:17 Be patient in the face of what they say, and mention Our servant David, the resourceful. He was obedient. - Talal Itani (English)

38:18 إِنَّا سَخَّرْنَا ٱلْجِبَالَ مَعَهُۥ يُسَبِّحْنَ بِٱلْعَشِىِّ وَٱلْإِشْرَاقِ
38:18 We committed the mountains to glorify with him, in the evening and at daybreak. - Talal Itani (English)

38:19 وَٱلطَّيْرَ مَحْشُورَةً ۖ كُلٌّ لَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ
38:19 And the birds, gathered together. All obedient to him. - Talal Itani (English)

38:20 وَشَدَدْنَا مُلْكَهُۥ وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ ٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَفَصْلَ ٱلْخِطَابِ
38:20 And We strengthened his kingdom, and gave him wisdom and decisive speech. - Talal Itani (English)

38:21 ۞ وَهَلْ أَتَىٰكَ نَبَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَصْمِ إِذْ تَسَوَّرُوا۟ ٱلْمِحْرَابَ
38:21 Has the story of the two disputants reached you? When they scaled the sanctuary? - Talal Itani (English)

38:22 إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ دَاوُۥدَ فَفَزِعَ مِنْهُمْ ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ ۖ خَصْمَانِ بَغَىٰ بَعْضُنَا عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَنَا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا تُشْطِطْ وَٱهْدِنَآ إِلَىٰ سَوَآءِ ٱلصِّرَٰطِ
38:22 When they entered upon David, and he was startled by them. They said, “Do not fear. Two disputants; one of us has wronged the other; so judge between us fairly, and do not be biased, and guide us to the straight way.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:23 إِنَّ هَـٰذَآ أَخِى لَهُۥ تِسْعٌ وَتِسْعُونَ نَعْجَةً وَلِىَ نَعْجَةٌ وَٰحِدَةٌ فَقَالَ أَكْفِلْنِيهَا وَعَزَّنِى فِى ٱلْخِطَابِ
38:23 “This brother of mine has ninety nine ewes, and I have one ewe, and he said, ‘Entrust it to me,’ and he pressured me with words.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:24 قَالَ لَقَدْ ظَلَمَكَ بِسُؤَالِ نَعْجَتِكَ إِلَىٰ نِعَاجِهِۦ ۖ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ ٱلْخُلَطَآءِ لَيَبْغِى بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَقَلِيلٌ مَّا هُمْ ۗ وَظَنَّ دَاوُۥدُ أَنَّمَا فَتَنَّـٰهُ فَٱسْتَغْفَرَ رَبَّهُۥ وَخَرَّ رَاكِعًا وَأَنَابَ ۩
38:24 He said, “He has done you wrong by asking your ewe in addition to his ewes. Many partners take advantage of one another, except those who believe and do good deeds, but these are so few.” David realized that We were testing him, so he sought forgiveness from his Lord, and fell down to his knees, and repented. - Talal Itani (English)

38:25 فَغَفَرْنَا لَهُۥ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ وَإِنَّ لَهُۥ عِندَنَا لَزُلْفَىٰ وَحُسْنَ مَـَٔابٍ
38:25 So We forgave him that. And for him is nearness to Us, and a good place of return. - Talal Itani (English)

38:26 يَـٰدَاوُۥدُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَـٰكَ خَلِيفَةً فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ فَيُضِلَّكَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَضِلُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌۢ بِمَا نَسُوا۟ يَوْمَ ٱلْحِسَابِ
38:26 “O David, We made you a ruler in the land, so judge between the people with justice, and do not follow desire, lest it diverts you from God’s path. Those who stray from God’s path will have a painful punishment, for having ignored the Day of Account.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:27 وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا بَـٰطِلًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ظَنُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ۚ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ
38:27 We did not create the heaven and the earth and everything between them in vain. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve—so woe to those who disbelieve because of the Fire. - Talal Itani (English)

38:28 أَمْ نَجْعَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ كَٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَمْ نَجْعَلُ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ كَٱلْفُجَّارِ
38:28 Or are We to treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like those who make trouble on earth? Or are We to treat the pious like the shameless? - Talal Itani (English)

38:29 كِتَـٰبٌ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَـٰرَكٌ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوٓا۟ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ
38:29 A blessed Book that We sent down to you, that they may ponder its Verses, and for those with intelligence to take heed. - Talal Itani (English)

38:30 وَوَهَبْنَا لِدَاوُۥدَ سُلَيْمَـٰنَ ۚ نِعْمَ ٱلْعَبْدُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ
38:30 And We granted David, Solomon, an excellent servant. He was penitent. - Talal Itani (English)

38:31 إِذْ عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ بِٱلْعَشِىِّ ٱلصَّـٰفِنَـٰتُ ٱلْجِيَادُ
38:31 When the beautiful horses were paraded before him in the evening. - Talal Itani (English)

38:32 فَقَالَ إِنِّىٓ أَحْبَبْتُ حُبَّ ٱلْخَيْرِ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّى حَتَّىٰ تَوَارَتْ بِٱلْحِجَابِ
38:32 He said, “I have preferred the love of niceties to the remembrance of my Lord—until it disappeared behind the veil. - Talal Itani (English)

38:33 رُدُّوهَا عَلَىَّ ۖ فَطَفِقَ مَسْحًۢا بِٱلسُّوقِ وَٱلْأَعْنَاقِ
38:33 Bring them back to me.” And he began caressing their legs and necks. - Talal Itani (English)

38:34 وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا سُلَيْمَـٰنَ وَأَلْقَيْنَا عَلَىٰ كُرْسِيِّهِۦ جَسَدًا ثُمَّ أَنَابَ
38:34 We tested Solomon, and placed a body on his throne; then he repented. - Talal Itani (English)

38:35 قَالَ رَبِّ ٱغْفِرْ لِى وَهَبْ لِى مُلْكًا لَّا يَنۢبَغِى لِأَحَدٍ مِّنۢ بَعْدِىٓ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْوَهَّابُ
38:35 He said, “My Lord, forgive me, and grant me a kingdom never to be attained by anyone after me. You are the Giver.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:36 فَسَخَّرْنَا لَهُ ٱلرِّيحَ تَجْرِى بِأَمْرِهِۦ رُخَآءً حَيْثُ أَصَابَ
38:36 So We placed the wind at his service, blowing gently by his command, wherever he directed. - Talal Itani (English)

38:37 وَٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَ كُلَّ بَنَّآءٍ وَغَوَّاصٍ
38:37 And the demons—every builder and diver. - Talal Itani (English)

38:38 وَءَاخَرِينَ مُقَرَّنِينَ فِى ٱلْأَصْفَادِ
38:38 And others fettered in chains. - Talal Itani (English)

38:39 هَـٰذَا عَطَآؤُنَا فَٱمْنُنْ أَوْ أَمْسِكْ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ
38:39 “This is Our gift; so give generously, or withhold; without account.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:40 وَإِنَّ لَهُۥ عِندَنَا لَزُلْفَىٰ وَحُسْنَ مَـَٔابٍ
38:40 For him is nearness to Us, and a beautiful resort. - Talal Itani (English)

38:41 وَٱذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَآ أَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّى مَسَّنِىَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ بِنُصْبٍ وَعَذَابٍ
38:41 And mention Our servant Job, when he called out to his Lord, “Satan has afflicted me with hardship and pain.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:42 ٱرْكُضْ بِرِجْلِكَ ۖ هَـٰذَا مُغْتَسَلٌۢ بَارِدٌ وَشَرَابٌ
38:42 “Stamp with your foot—here is cool water to wash with, and to drink.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:43 وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ أَهْلَهُۥ وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَذِكْرَىٰ لِأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ
38:43 And We restored his family for him, and their like with them; as a mercy from Us, and a lesson for those who possess insight. - Talal Itani (English)

38:44 وَخُذْ بِيَدِكَ ضِغْثًا فَٱضْرِب بِّهِۦ وَلَا تَحْنَثْ ۗ إِنَّا وَجَدْنَـٰهُ صَابِرًا ۚ نِّعْمَ ٱلْعَبْدُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ
38:44 “Take with your hand a bundle, and strike with it, and do not break your oath.” We found him patient. What an excellent servant! He was obedient. - Talal Itani (English)

38:45 وَٱذْكُرْ عِبَـٰدَنَآ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَإِسْحَـٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ أُو۟لِى ٱلْأَيْدِى وَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرِ
38:45 And mention Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—endowed with ability and vision. - Talal Itani (English)

38:46 إِنَّآ أَخْلَصْنَـٰهُم بِخَالِصَةٍ ذِكْرَى ٱلدَّارِ
38:46 We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Home. - Talal Itani (English)

38:47 وَإِنَّهُمْ عِندَنَا لَمِنَ ٱلْمُصْطَفَيْنَ ٱلْأَخْيَارِ
38:47 To Us they are among the chosen, the outstanding. - Talal Itani (English)

38:48 وَٱذْكُرْ إِسْمَـٰعِيلَ وَٱلْيَسَعَ وَذَا ٱلْكِفْلِ ۖ وَكُلٌّ مِّنَ ٱلْأَخْيَارِ
38:48 And mention Ishmael, Elisha, and Ezekiel; all are among the outstanding. - Talal Itani (English)

38:49 هَـٰذَا ذِكْرٌ ۚ وَإِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ لَحُسْنَ مَـَٔابٍ
38:49 This is a reminder. The devout will have a good place of return. - Talal Itani (English)

38:50 جَنَّـٰتِ عَدْنٍ مُّفَتَّحَةً لَّهُمُ ٱلْأَبْوَٰبُ
38:50 The Gardens of Eden, with their doors wide-open for them. - Talal Itani (English)

38:51 مُتَّكِـِٔينَ فِيهَا يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا بِفَـٰكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ وَشَرَابٍ
38:51 Relaxing therein, and calling for abundant fruit and beverage. - Talal Itani (English)

38:52 ۞ وَعِندَهُمْ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ أَتْرَابٌ
38:52 With them will be attendants with modest gaze, of same age. - Talal Itani (English)

38:53 هَـٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِيَوْمِ ٱلْحِسَابِ
38:53 This is what you are promised for the Day of Account. - Talal Itani (English)

38:54 إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَرِزْقُنَا مَا لَهُۥ مِن نَّفَادٍ
38:54 Such is Our bounty, inexhaustible. - Talal Itani (English)

38:55 هَـٰذَا ۚ وَإِنَّ لِلطَّـٰغِينَ لَشَرَّ مَـَٔابٍ
38:55 All This. But the transgressors will have a miserable return. - Talal Itani (English)

38:56 جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَوْنَهَا فَبِئْسَ ٱلْمِهَادُ
38:56 Hell; in which they will roast; what a miserable abode! - Talal Itani (English)

38:57 هَـٰذَا فَلْيَذُوقُوهُ حَمِيمٌ وَغَسَّاقٌ
38:57 All this. Let them taste it—boiling and bitter cold. - Talal Itani (English)

38:58 وَءَاخَرُ مِن شَكْلِهِۦٓ أَزْوَٰجٌ
38:58 And similar torments of diverse kinds. - Talal Itani (English)

38:59 هَـٰذَا فَوْجٌ مُّقْتَحِمٌ مَّعَكُمْ ۖ لَا مَرْحَبًۢا بِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ صَالُوا۟ ٱلنَّارِ
38:59 “This is a crowd rushing headlong with you.” There is no welcome for them. They will be scorched by the Fire. - Talal Itani (English)

38:60 قَالُوا۟ بَلْ أَنتُمْ لَا مَرْحَبًۢا بِكُمْ ۖ أَنتُمْ قَدَّمْتُمُوهُ لَنَا ۖ فَبِئْسَ ٱلْقَرَارُ
38:60 They will say, “But it is you! There is no welcome for you! It is you who brought it upon us! What a miserable end!” - Talal Itani (English)

38:61 قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا مَن قَدَّمَ لَنَا هَـٰذَا فَزِدْهُ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا فِى ٱلنَّارِ
38:61 They will say, “Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us, give him double torment in the Fire.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:62 وَقَالُوا۟ مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَىٰ رِجَالًا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَشْرَارِ
38:62 And they will say, “What is it with us that we do not see men we used to count among the wicked? - Talal Itani (English)

38:63 أَتَّخَذْنَـٰهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ
38:63 Did we take them for mockery, or have our eyes swerved from them? - Talal Itani (English)

38:64 إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَحَقٌّ تَخَاصُمُ أَهْلِ ٱلنَّارِ
38:64 This is certainly true—the feuding of the people of the Fire. - Talal Itani (English)

38:65 قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ مُنذِرٌ ۖ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَـٰهٍ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ٱلْوَٰحِدُ ٱلْقَهَّارُ
38:65 Say, “I am only a warner, and there is no god except God—the One, the Conqueror. - Talal Itani (English)

38:66 رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْغَفَّـٰرُ
38:66 The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them; the Mighty, the Forgiver.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:67 قُلْ هُوَ نَبَؤٌا۟ عَظِيمٌ
38:67 Say, “It is a message of great importance. - Talal Itani (English)

38:68 أَنتُمْ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضُونَ
38:68 From which you are turning away. - Talal Itani (English)

38:69 مَا كَانَ لِىَ مِنْ عِلْمٍۭ بِٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰٓ إِذْ يَخْتَصِمُونَ
38:69 I have no knowledge of the Highest Assembly as they dispute. - Talal Itani (English)

38:70 إِن يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ إِلَّآ أَنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
38:70 It is only revealed to me that I am a clear warner.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:71 إِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّى خَـٰلِقٌۢ بَشَرًا مِّن طِينٍ
38:71 Your Lord said to the angels, “I am creating a human being from clay. - Talal Itani (English)

38:72 فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُۥ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِى فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَـٰجِدِينَ
38:72 When I have formed him, and breathed into him of My spirit, fall prostrate before him. - Talal Itani (English)

38:73 فَسَجَدَ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ
38:73 So the angels fell prostrate, all of them. - Talal Itani (English)

38:74 إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ ٱسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
38:74 Except for Satan. He was too proud, and one of the faithless. - Talal Itani (English)

38:75 قَالَ يَـٰٓإِبْلِيسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسْجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَىَّ ۖ أَسْتَكْبَرْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْعَالِينَ
38:75 He said, “O Satan, what prevented you from prostrating before what I created with My Own hands? Are you too proud, or were you one of the exalted?” - Talal Itani (English)

38:76 قَالَ أَنَا۠ خَيْرٌ مِّنْهُ ۖ خَلَقْتَنِى مِن نَّارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُۥ مِن طِينٍ
38:76 He said, “I am better than he; You created me from fire, and You created him from clay.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:77 قَالَ فَٱخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ
38:77 He said, “Then get out of here! You are an outcast! - Talal Itani (English)

38:78 وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ لَعْنَتِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ
38:78 And My curse will be upon you until the Day of Judgment.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:79 قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
38:79 He said, “Lord, defer me until the Day they are resurrected.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:80 قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنظَرِينَ
38:80 He said, “You are one of those deferred. - Talal Itani (English)

38:81 إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْوَقْتِ ٱلْمَعْلُومِ
38:81 Until the Day of the Time Appointed.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:82 قَالَ فَبِعِزَّتِكَ لَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
38:82 He said, “By Your majesty, I will seduce them all. - Talal Itani (English)

38:83 إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
38:83 Except for your loyal servants among them.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:84 قَالَ فَٱلْحَقُّ وَٱلْحَقَّ أَقُولُ
38:84 He said, “The truth is, and I say the truth. - Talal Itani (English)

38:85 لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنكَ وَمِمَّن تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
38:85 I will fill Hell with you, and with every one of them who follows you.” - Talal Itani (English)

38:86 قُلْ مَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُتَكَلِّفِينَ
38:86 Say, “I ask of you no wage for this, and I am not a pretender. - Talal Itani (English)

38:87 إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
38:87 It is but a reminder to mankind. - Talal Itani (English)

38:88 وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّ نَبَأَهُۥ بَعْدَ حِينٍۭ
38:88 And you will know its message after a while.” - Talal Itani (English)
