بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
77:1
وَٱلْمُرْسَلَـٰتِ عُرْفًا
77:1
By the [angelic] emissaries sent successively, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:2
فَٱلْعَـٰصِفَـٰتِ عَصْفًا
77:2
by those who sweep along like gale, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:3
وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا
77:3
by those who publish [the Divine messages] far and wide, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:4
فَٱلْفَـٰرِقَـٰتِ فَرْقًا
77:4
by those who separate [the truth from falsehood] distinctly, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:5
فَٱلْمُلْقِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا
77:5
by those who inspire [God’s] remembrance, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:6
عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
77:6
as exemption or warning: - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:7
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
77:7
what you are promised will surely befall. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:8
فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ
77:8
When the stars are blotted out - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:9
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ
77:9
and the sky is cleft, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:10
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ
77:10
when the mountains are scattered [like dust] - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:11
وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ
77:11
and time is set for the apostles [to bear witness] - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:12
لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ
77:12
—for what day has [all] that been set [to occur]? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:13
لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:13
For the Day of Judgement! - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:14
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:14
And what will show you what is the Day of Judgement!? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:15
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:15
Woe to the deniers on that day! - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:16
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:16
Did We not destroy the former generations, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:17
ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
77:17
[and] then made the latter ones follow them? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:18
كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
77:18
That is how We deal with the guilty. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:19
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:19
Woe to the deniers on that day! - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:20
أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ
77:20
Have We not created you from a base fluid, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:21
فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ
77:21
[and] then lodged it in a secure abode - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:22
إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
77:22
until a known span [of time]? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:23
فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَـٰدِرُونَ
77:23
Then We determined; and how excellent determiners We are! - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:24
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:24
Woe to the deniers on that day! - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:25
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا
77:25
Have We not made the earth a receptacle - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:26
أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَٰتًا
77:26
for the living and the dead, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:27
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَـٰمِخَـٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا
77:27
and set in it lofty [and] firm mountains, and given you agreeable water to drink? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:28
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:28
Woe to the deniers on that day! - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:29
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
77:29
[The faithless will be told:] ‘Proceed toward what you used to deny! - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:30
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِى ثَلَـٰثِ شُعَبٍ
77:30
Proceed toward the triple-forked shadow, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:31
لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
77:31
neither shady nor of any avail against the flames. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:32
إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ كَٱلْقَصْرِ
77:32
Indeed it throws up [giant] sparks like castles, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:33
كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَـٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ
77:33
[bright] like yellow camels. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:34
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:34
Woe to the deniers on that day! - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:35
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
77:35
This is a day wherein they will not speak, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:36
وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
77:36
nor will they be permitted to offer excuses. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:37
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:37
Woe to the deniers on that day! - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:38
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَـٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:38
‘This is the Day of Judgement. We have brought you together with the former generations. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:39
فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ
77:39
If you have any stratagems [left], try them out against Me!’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:40
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:40
Woe to the deniers on that day! - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:41
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَـٰلٍ وَعُيُونٍ
77:41
Indeed the Godwary will be amid shades and springs - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:42
وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
77:42
and [enjoying] such fruits as they desire. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:43
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
77:43
[They will be told:] ‘Enjoy your food and drink, [a reward] for what you used to do. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:44
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
77:44
Thus do We reward the virtuous.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:45
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:45
Woe to the deniers on that day! - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:46
كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ
77:46
‘Eat and enjoy a little! You are indeed guilty.’ - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:47
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:47
Woe to the deniers on that day! - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:48
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ
77:48
When they are told, ‘Bow down [in prayer],’ they do not bow down! - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:49
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:49
Woe to the deniers on that day! - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
77:50
فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ
77:50
So what discourse will they believe after this? - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
