بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
77:1
وَٱلْمُرْسَلَـٰتِ عُرْفًا
77:1
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)

فَٱلْعَـٰصِفَـٰتِ عَصْفًا
77:2
Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:3
وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا
77:3
Then by oath of those that lift and carry. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:4
فَٱلْفَـٰرِقَـٰتِ فَرْقًا
77:4
Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:5
فَٱلْمُلْقِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا
77:5
And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:6
عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
77:6
To complete the argument or to warn. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:7
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
77:7
Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:8
فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ
77:8
So when the lights of the stars are put out. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:9
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ
77:9
And when the sky is split apart. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:10
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ
77:10
And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:11
وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ
77:11
And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:12
لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ
77:12
For which day were they appointed? - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:13
لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:13
For the Day of Decision. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:14
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:14
And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:15
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:15
Ruin is for the deniers on that day! - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:16
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:16
Did We not destroy the earlier people? - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:17
ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
77:17
We shall then send the latter after them. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:18
كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
77:18
This is how We deal with the guilty. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:19

أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ
77:20
Did We not create you from an abject fluid? - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:21
فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ
77:21
We then kept it in a safe place. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:22
إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
77:22
For a known calculated term. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:23
فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَـٰدِرُونَ
77:23
We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:24
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:24

77:25
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا
77:25
Did We not make the earth a storehouse? - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:26
أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَٰتًا
77:26
For the living and the dead among you? - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:27
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَـٰمِخَـٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا
77:27
And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:28
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:28

ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
77:29
“Move towards what you used to deny!” - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:30
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِى ثَلَـٰثِ شُعَبٍ
77:30
“Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:31
لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
77:31
“Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:32
إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ كَٱلْقَصْرِ
77:32
Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:33
كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَـٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ
77:33
Seeming like yellow camels. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:34
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:34
Ruin is for the deniers on that day! - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:35
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
77:35
This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:36
وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
77:36
Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:37
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:37

هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَـٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:38
This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:39
فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ
77:39
If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:40
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:40

77:41
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَـٰلٍ وَعُيُونٍ
77:41
Indeed the pious are in shade and springs. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:42
وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
77:42
And among fruits whichever they may desire. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:43
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
77:43
“Eat and drink with pleasure, the reward of your deeds.” - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:44
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
77:44
This is how We reward the virtuous. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:45
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:45

كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ
77:46
“Eat and enjoy for a while – indeed you are guilty.” - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:47
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:47

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ
77:48
And when it is said to them, “Offer the prayer” – they do not! - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
77:49
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:49

فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ
77:50
So after this, in what matter will they believe? - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
