بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
77:1
وَٱلْمُرْسَلَـٰتِ عُرْفًا
77:1
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:2
فَٱلْعَـٰصِفَـٰتِ عَصْفًا
77:2
And those raging swiftly; - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:3
وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا
77:3
By the spreading winds spreading. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:4
فَٱلْفَـٰرِقَـٰتِ فَرْقًا
77:4
And the scattering wind scattering. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:5
فَٱلْمُلْقِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا
77:5
And those winds that bring down the remembrance. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:6
عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
77:6
By way of excuse or warning. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:7
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
77:7
Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:8
فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ
77:8
So when stars are effaced. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:9
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ
77:9
And when the heaven is cloven asunder. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:10
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ
77:10
And when the mountains are carried away by wind. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:11
وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ
77:11
And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:12
لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ
77:12
For what day is it timed? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:13
لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:13
For the Day of Decision. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:14
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:14
And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:15
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:15
Woe on that day Unto the beliers - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:16
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:16
Destroyed We not the ancients? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:17
ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
77:17
Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:18
كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
77:18
In this wise We do with the culprits. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:19
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:19
Woe on that day Unto the beliers! - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:20
أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ
77:20
Created We you not of water despicable, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:21
فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ
77:21
Which We placed in a depository safe. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:22
إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
77:22
Till a limit known? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:23
فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَـٰدِرُونَ
77:23
So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:24
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:24
Woe on that day Unto the beliers! - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:25
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا
77:25
Have We not made the earth a receptacle. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:26
أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَٰتًا
77:26
Both for the living and the dead, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:27
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَـٰمِخَـٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا
77:27
And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:28
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:28
Woe on that day Unto the beliers! - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:29
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
77:29
'Depart Unto that which ye were wont to belie. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:30
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِى ثَلَـٰثِ شُعَبٍ
77:30
Depart Unto the shadow three branched: - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:31
لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
77:31
Neither shading nor availing against the flame. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:32
إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ كَٱلْقَصْرِ
77:32
Verily it shall cast forth sparks like Unto a castle. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:33
كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَـٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ
77:33
As though they were camels yellow tawny. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:34
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:34
Woe on that day Unto the beliers! - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:35
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
77:35
This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:36
وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
77:36
Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:37
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:37
Woe on that day Unto the beliers! - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:38
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَـٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:38
This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:39
فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ
77:39
If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:40
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:40
Woe on the day Unto the beliers! - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:41
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَـٰلٍ وَعُيُونٍ
77:41
Verily the God-fearing shall be amid shades and springs, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:42
وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
77:42
And fruits such as they shall desire. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:43
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
77:43
'Eat and drink with relish that which ye have been working. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:44
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
77:44
Verily We! in this wise We recompense the well-doers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:45
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:45
Woe on that day Unto the beliers! - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:46
كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ
77:46
'Eat and enjoy a little; verily ye are culprits. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:47
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:47
Woe on that day Unto the beliers! - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:48
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ
77:48
And when it is said Unto them: 'bow down, they bow not down. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:49
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:49
Woe on that day Unto the beliers! - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
77:50
فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ
77:50
In what discourse, then, after it, will they believe? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
