Wahiduddin Khan
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
43:1
حمٓ
43:1
Ha. Mim. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:2
وَٱلْكِتَـٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ
43:2
By this luminous Book. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:3
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَـٰهُ قُرْءَٰنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
43:3
Verily We! We have made it an Arabic Qur'an that haply ye may reflect. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:4
وَإِنَّهُۥ فِىٓ أُمِّ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لَدَيْنَا لَعَلِىٌّ حَكِيمٌ
43:4
And verily it is, in the Original Book before Us, indeed exalted. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:5
أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَنكُمُ ٱلذِّكْرَ صَفْحًا أَن كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا مُّسْرِفِينَ
43:5
Shall We then take away from you the Admonition because ye are a people extravagant? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:6
وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن نَّبِىٍّ فِى ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
43:6
And how many a prophet We sent among the ancients. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:7
وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن نَّبِىٍّ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
43:7
And not a prophet came Unto them but him they were wont to mock. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:8
فَأَهْلَكْنَآ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
43:8
Wherefore We destroyed peoples mightier than these in prowess; and there hath gone forth the example of the ancients. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:9
وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
43:9
And if thou askest them: who hath created the heavens and the earth? they will surely say: created them the Mighty, the Knower. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:10
ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ مَهْدًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ
43:10
Who hath made for you the earth a bed, and hath made for you paths therein that haply ye may be directed. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:11
وَٱلَّذِى نَزَّلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۢ بِقَدَرٍ فَأَنشَرْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ
43:11
And Who sendeth down from the heaven water in measure; then We quicken a dead land therewith: even so ye shall be brought forth. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:12
وَٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْفُلْكِ وَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ مَا تَرْكَبُونَ
43:12
And Who hath treated the pairs, all of them, and appointed for you from ships and cattle things whereon ye ride. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:13
لِتَسْتَوُۥا۟ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِۦ ثُمَّ تَذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ إِذَا ٱسْتَوَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَتَقُولُوا۟ سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱلَّذِى سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَـٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُۥ مُقْرِنِينَ
43:13
That ye mount firmly on the backs thereof, and then may remember the favour of your Lord When ye mount thereon, and may say: hallowed be He Who hath subjected this Unto us, and we for it were not fit. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:14
وَإِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ
43:14
And verily Unto our Lord we are to return. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:15
وَجَعَلُوا۟ لَهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ جُزْءًا ۚ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَكَفُورٌ مُّبِينٌ
43:15
And they appoint for Him from His bondmen a part! Verily man is an ingrate manifest. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:16
أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ مِمَّا يَخْلُقُ بَنَاتٍ وَأَصْفَىٰكُم بِٱلْبَنِينَ
43:16
Hath He taken for Himself from whatsoever He hath created daughters, and hath honoured you with sons. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:17
وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُم بِمَا ضَرَبَ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ مَثَلًا ظَلَّ وَجْهُهُۥ مُسْوَدًّا وَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ
43:17
And when there is announced Unto any of them the birth of that which he likeneth Unto the Compassionate, his countenance remaineth darkened the whole day and he is wroth inwardly." - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:18
أَوَمَن يُنَشَّؤُا۟ فِى ٱلْحِلْيَةِ وَهُوَ فِى ٱلْخِصَامِ غَيْرُ مُبِينٍ
43:18
Hath He taken to Himself that which is reared in ornaments, and is in contention not plain? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:19
وَجَعَلُوا۟ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عِبَـٰدُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ إِنَـٰثًا ۚ أَشَهِدُوا۟ خَلْقَهُمْ ۚ سَتُكْتَبُ شَهَـٰدَتُهُمْ وَيُسْـَٔلُونَ
43:19
And they make the angels who are the bondmen of the Compassionate females. Have they witnessed their creation? Their testimony will be written down, and they will be questioned. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:20
وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْ شَآءَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ مَا عَبَدْنَـٰهُم ۗ مَّا لَهُم بِذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ۖ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ
43:20
And they say: had the Compassionate willed we should not have worshipped them. They have no knowledge thereof; they are only guessing. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:21
أَمْ ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ كِتَـٰبًا مِّن قَبْلِهِۦ فَهُم بِهِۦ مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ
43:21
Have We vouchsafed Unto them any Book before this, so that they are to it holding fast? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:22
بَلْ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا عَلَىٰٓ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَـٰرِهِم مُّهْتَدُونَ
43:22
Nay! they say: verily we have found our fathers on a certain way, and verily by their footsteps we are guided. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:23
وَكَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ فِى قَرْيَةٍ مِّن نَّذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَآ إِنَّا وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا عَلَىٰٓ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَـٰرِهِم مُّقْتَدُونَ
43:23
And in this wise We sent not before thee into any city a warner but the affluent thereof said: verily we! we found our fathers on a certain way and verily their footsteps we are following. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:24
۞ قَـٰلَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكُم بِأَهْدَىٰ مِمَّا وَجَدتُّمْ عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَكُمْ ۖ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا بِمَآ أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِۦ كَـٰفِرُونَ
43:24
The warner said: What! even though bring you a better guidance than that which ye found your fathers upon They said: verily in that wherewith ye are sent we are disbelievers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:25
فَٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ ۖ فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
43:25
Wherefore We took revenge on them. Behold, then how hath been the end of the beliers? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:26
وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦٓ إِنَّنِى بَرَآءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ
43:26
And recall what time Ibrahim said Unto his father and his people: verily I am quit of that which ye worship. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:27
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنِى فَإِنَّهُۥ سَيَهْدِينِ
43:27
Save Him Who hath created me, and then He would guide me. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:28
وَجَعَلَهَا كَلِمَةًۢ بَاقِيَةً فِى عَقِبِهِۦ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
43:28
And he made it a word lasting among his posterity that haply they should return. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:29
بَلْ مَتَّعْتُ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَءَابَآءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ وَرَسُولٌ مُّبِينٌ
43:29
Aye! I let these and their fathers enjoy life, until there hath come Unto them the truth and an apostle manifest. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:30
وَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ قَالُوا۟ هَـٰذَا سِحْرٌ وَإِنَّا بِهِۦ كَـٰفِرُونَ
43:30
And when the truth cometh Unto them, they say this is magic, and verily we are therein disbelievers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:31
وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانُ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِّنَ ٱلْقَرْيَتَيْنِ عَظِيمٍ
43:31
And they say: wherefore hath not this Qur'an been revealed to a man of the two cities who was great. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:32
أَهُمْ يَقْسِمُونَ رَحْمَتَ رَبِّكَ ۚ نَحْنُ قَسَمْنَا بَيْنَهُم مَّعِيشَتَهُمْ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ وَرَفَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ دَرَجَـٰتٍ لِّيَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُهُم بَعْضًا سُخْرِيًّا ۗ وَرَحْمَتُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ
43:32
Shall they apportion their Lord's mercy? It is We Who have apportioned among them their livelihood in the life of the War, and raised some of them over others in degrees, so that one of them may take another as a serf; and the mercy of thy Lord is better than that which they amass. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:33
وَلَوْلَآ أَن يَكُونَ ٱلنَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَٰحِدَةً لَّجَعَلْنَا لِمَن يَكْفُرُ بِٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ لِبُيُوتِهِمْ سُقُفًا مِّن فِضَّةٍ وَمَعَارِجَ عَلَيْهَا يَظْهَرُونَ
43:33
And were it not that mankind would have become one community, We should make for those who disbelieve in the Compassionate roofs of silver for their houses and silver stair ways whereby they ascend. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:34
وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ أَبْوَٰبًا وَسُرُرًا عَلَيْهَا يَتَّكِـُٔونَ
43:34
And silver doors for their houses, and silver couches whereon they recline, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:35
وَزُخْرُفًا ۚ وَإِن كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَّا مَتَـٰعُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
43:35
And ornament of gold. And yet all that would have been but a pro vision Of the life of the World; and the Hereafter with thy Lord is for the Godfearing. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:36
وَمَن يَعْشُ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ نُقَيِّضْ لَهُۥ شَيْطَـٰنًا فَهُوَ لَهُۥ قَرِينٌ
43:36
And whosoever blindeth himself to the admonition of the Compassionate, We assign Unto him a Satan, and he becometh his companion. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:37
وَإِنَّهُمْ لَيَصُدُّونَهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ
43:37
And verily they hinder them from the way, whilst they deem that they are rightly guided. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:38
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَنَا قَالَ يَـٰلَيْتَ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ ٱلْقَرِينُ
43:38
Until when he cometh Unto Us, he will say. Ah! would that there had been between me and thee, the distance of the east and the west an evil companion - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:39
وَلَن يَنفَعَكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ إِذ ظَّلَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ
43:39
And it Will profit you not today, because ye have done wrong, that ye are in the torment sharers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:40
أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ أَوْ تَهْدِى ٱلْعُمْىَ وَمَن كَانَ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
43:40
Wherefore canst thou make the deaf to hear, or canst thou guide the blind or him who is is error manifest? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:41
فَإِمَّا نَذْهَبَنَّ بِكَ فَإِنَّا مِنْهُم مُّنتَقِمُونَ
43:41
And if We take thee away. We shall surely take vengeance on them. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:42
أَوْ نُرِيَنَّكَ ٱلَّذِى وَعَدْنَـٰهُمْ فَإِنَّا عَلَيْهِم مُّقْتَدِرُونَ
43:42
Or if We shew thee that wherewith We threaten them, verily We are going to prevail over them. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:43
فَٱسْتَمْسِكْ بِٱلَّذِىٓ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
43:43
Hold thou fast wherefore to that which is revealed Unto thee: verily thou art on the straight path. s - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:44
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَذِكْرٌ لَّكَ وَلِقَوْمِكَ ۖ وَسَوْفَ تُسْـَٔلُونَ
43:44
And verily it is an admonition Unto thee and thy people; and presently ye will be questioned. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:45
وَسْـَٔلْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رُّسُلِنَآ أَجَعَلْنَا مِن دُونِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ءَالِهَةً يُعْبَدُونَ
43:45
And ask thou Our apostles whom We sent before thee: appointed We gods, beside the Compassionate, to be worshipped? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:46
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ فَقَالَ إِنِّى رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
43:46
And assuredly We sent Musa with Our signs Unto Fir'awn and his chiefs, and he said: verily I am an apostle of the Lord of the worlds. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:47
فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُم بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَضْحَكُونَ
43:47
Then when he came Unto them with Our signs, behold! at them they were laughing. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:48
وَمَا نُرِيهِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍ إِلَّا هِىَ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ أُخْتِهَا ۖ وَأَخَذْنَـٰهُم بِٱلْعَذَابِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
43:48
And not a sign We shewed them but it was greater than the like thereof; and We laid hold of them with the torment that haply they might turn. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:49
وَقَالُوا۟ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَ ٱلسَّاحِرُ ٱدْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِندَكَ إِنَّنَا لَمُهْتَدُونَ
43:49
And they said: magician! supplicate thy Lord for us for that which He hath covenanted with thee; verily we shall let ourselves be guided. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:50
فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابَ إِذَا هُمْ يَنكُثُونَ
43:50
Then When We had removed from them the torment, behold they were breaking their promise. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:51
وَنَادَىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ فِى قَوْمِهِۦ قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ أَلَيْسَ لِى مُلْكُ مِصْرَ وَهَـٰذِهِ ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِىٓ ۖ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ
43:51
And Fir'awn proclaimed among his people, saying: O my people! is not mine the dominion of Mis and witness yonder rivers flowing underneath me? See ye not? - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:52
أَمْ أَنَا۠ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى هُوَ مَهِينٌ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُبِينُ
43:52
Aye! I am better than this one who is depicable, and well- nigh cannot make himself plain. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:53
فَلَوْلَآ أُلْقِىَ عَلَيْهِ أَسْوِرَةٌ مِّن ذَهَبٍ أَوْ جَآءَ مَعَهُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ مُقْتَرِنِينَ
43:53
Wherefore, then, have bracelets of gold not been set upon him, and wherefore have not angels come with him accompanying - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:54
فَٱسْتَخَفَّ قَوْمَهُۥ فَأَطَاعُوهُ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَـٰسِقِينَ
43:54
Then he incited his people and they obeyed him; verily they were ever a transgressing people. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:55
فَلَمَّآ ءَاسَفُونَا ٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
43:55
So when they vexed Us, We took vengeance on them, and We drowned them all. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:56
فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ سَلَفًا وَمَثَلًا لِّلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
43:56
And We made them a precedent and an ensample Unto those after. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:57
۞ وَلَمَّا ضُرِبَ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ مَثَلًا إِذَا قَوْمُكَ مِنْهُ يَصِدُّونَ
43:57
And when the son of Maryam is held up, an example, behold! thy people thereat cry out. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:58
وَقَالُوٓا۟ ءَأَـٰلِهَتُنَا خَيْرٌ أَمْ هُوَ ۚ مَا ضَرَبُوهُ لَكَ إِلَّا جَدَلًۢا ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ خَصِمُونَ
43:58
And they say: are our gods better, or is he? They mention him not to thee save for disputation. Aye! they are a people contentious. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:59
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا عَبْدٌ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ مَثَلًا لِّبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
43:59
He is naught but a bondman: him We favoured, and him We made an ensample Unto the Children of Israil. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:60
وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلْنَا مِنكُم مَّلَـٰٓئِكَةً فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ يَخْلُفُونَ
43:60
And had We willed We could have appointed angels born of you in the earth to succeed each other. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:61
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَعِلْمٌ لِّلسَّاعَةِ فَلَا تَمْتَرُنَّ بِهَا وَٱتَّبِعُونِ ۚ هَـٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ
43:61
And verily he is a sign of the Hour wherefore dubitate not thereof, and follow Me: this is the straight path. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:62
وَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ
43:62
And let not the Satan hinder you; verily he is Unto you an enemy manifest. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:63
وَلَمَّا جَآءَ عِيسَىٰ بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ قَالَ قَدْ جِئْتُكُم بِٱلْحِكْمَةِ وَلِأُبَيِّنَ لَكُم بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى تَخْتَلِفُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
43:63
And when Isa came with; evidences, he said: of a surety I have come Unto you with Wisdom, and to expound Unto you some of that wherein ye differ; so fear Allah and obey me. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:64
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ رَبِّى وَرَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۚ هَـٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ
43:64
Verily Allah! He is my lord and your Lord, so worship Him: this is the straight path. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:65
فَٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ بَيْنِهِمْ ۖ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمٍ أَلِيمٍ
43:65
Then the sects differed among themselves. Woe then Unto those who do Wrong because of the torment of an afflictive Day. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:66
هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ أَن تَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
43:66
They await but the Hour: that it should come upon them of a sudden, while they perceive not. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:67
ٱلْأَخِلَّآءُ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّا ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
43:67
The intimate friends on that Day Will be hostile Unto one another save the God-fearing. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:68
يَـٰعِبَادِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ وَلَآ أَنتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ
43:68
O My bondmen! no fear shall be on you Today, nor shall ye grieve - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:69
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا وَكَانُوا۟ مُسْلِمِينَ
43:69
Ye who believed in Our revelations and were Muslims. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:70
ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ أَنتُمْ وَأَزْوَٰجُكُمْ تُحْبَرُونَ
43:70
Enter the Garden, ye and your spouses, joyfully. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:71
يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِصِحَافٍ مِّن ذَهَبٍ وَأَكْوَابٍ ۖ وَفِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِيهِ ٱلْأَنفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ ٱلْأَعْيُنُ ۖ وَأَنتُمْ فِيهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ
43:71
Passed round amongst them will be dishes of gold and goblets, and therein will be whatsoever souls desire and eyes delight in; and ye will be therein abiders. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:72
وَتِلْكَ ٱلْجَنَّةُ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُورِثْتُمُوهَا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
43:72
This is the Garden which ye have been made to inherit for that which ye have been working. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:73
لَكُمْ فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ كَثِيرَةٌ مِّنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ
43:73
For you therein will be fruits in plenty whereof ye will eat. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:74
إِنَّ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ فِى عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ خَـٰلِدُونَ
43:74
Verily the culprits in Hell's torment will be abiders. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:75
لَا يُفَتَّرُ عَنْهُمْ وَهُمْ فِيهِ مُبْلِسُونَ
43:75
It shall not be abated from off them, and they will be therein despondent. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:76
وَمَا ظَلَمْنَـٰهُمْ وَلَـٰكِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
43:76
And We wronged them not, but they have been the wrong- doers themselves. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:77
وَنَادَوْا۟ يَـٰمَـٰلِكُ لِيَقْضِ عَلَيْنَا رَبُّكَ ۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّـٰكِثُونَ
43:77
And -they will cry: O keeper let thy Lord make an end of us. He will say: verily ye shall bide - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:78
لَقَدْ جِئْنَـٰكُم بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَـٰرِهُونَ
43:78
Assuredly We brought the truth Unto you, but most Of you are to the truth averse. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:79
أَمْ أَبْرَمُوٓا۟ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّا مُبْرِمُونَ
43:79
Have they determined an affair? then verily We are also determining. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:80
أَمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّا لَا نَسْمَعُ سِرَّهُمْ وَنَجْوَىٰهُم ۚ بَلَىٰ وَرُسُلُنَا لَدَيْهِمْ يَكْتُبُونَ
43:80
Bethink they that We hear not their secrets and whispers? Yea! We do, and Our messengers present with them write down. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:81
قُلْ إِن كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ وَلَدٌ فَأَنَا۠ أَوَّلُ ٱلْعَـٰبِدِينَ
43:81
Say thou: had the Compassionate a son, shall be the first of his worshippers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:82
سُبْحَـٰنَ رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
43:82
Hallowed be the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne, from that which they ascribe! - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:83
فَذَرْهُمْ يَخُوضُوا۟ وَيَلْعَبُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يُلَـٰقُوا۟ يَوْمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ
43:83
So let them thou alone wading and sporting until hey meet the Day which they are promised. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:84
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِلَـٰهٌ وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَـٰهٌ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
43:84
And He it is Who is God in the heavens and God in the earth, and He is the Wise, the Knower. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:85
وَتَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَعِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
43:85
And blest be He Whose is the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and with Him is knowledge of the Hour, and Unto Him ye will be made to return. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:86
وَلَا يَمْلِكُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ ٱلشَّفَـٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَن شَهِدَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
43:86
And those whom they call upon beside Him own not the power of intercession save those who have borne witness to the truth and who know. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:87
وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ
43:87
And wert thou to ask them who created them, they will surely say: God. Witherward then are they deviating! - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:88
وَقِيلِهِۦ يَـٰرَبِّ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوْمٌ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ
43:88
And We hear his saying: my Lord! verily these are a people who believe not. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
43:89
فَٱصْفَحْ عَنْهُمْ وَقُلْ سَلَـٰمٌ ۚ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
43:89
Wherefore turn thou aside from them, and say: peace. presently they shall come to know. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
