بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
36:1 يسٓ
36:1

YaSeen.
36:2 وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ
36:2

By the Wise Koran,
36:3 إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
36:3
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
you (Prophet Muhammad) are truly among the Messengers sent
36:4 عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
36:4
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
upon a Straight Path.
36:5 تَنزِيلَ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
36:5
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
The sending down of the Mighty, the Most Merciful
36:6 لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًا مَّآ أُنذِرَ ءَابَآؤُهُمْ فَهُمْ غَـٰفِلُونَ
36:6
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
so that you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, and so were heedless.
36:7 لَقَدْ حَقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَىٰٓ أَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
36:7
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
The Phrase has become obligatory upon most of them, yet they do not believe.
36:8 إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا فِىٓ أَعْنَـٰقِهِمْ أَغْلَـٰلًا فَهِىَ إِلَى ٱلْأَذْقَانِ فَهُم مُّقْمَحُونَ
36:8
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We have bound their necks with fetters up to their chin, so that their heads are raised and cannot be lowered.
36:9 وَجَعَلْنَا مِنۢ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ سَدًّا وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا فَأَغْشَيْنَـٰهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ
36:9
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and, We have covered them so that they do not see.
36:10 وَسَوَآءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
36:10
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
It is the same whether you have warned them or you have not warned them, they do not believe.
36:11 إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَخَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍ وَأَجْرٍ كَرِيمٍ
36:11
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
You only warn he who follows the Remembrance and fears the Merciful in the Unseen. Give to him glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous wage.
36:12 إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا۟ وَءَاثَـٰرَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَـٰهُ فِىٓ إِمَامٍ مُّبِينٍ
36:12
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Surely, it is We who revive the dead and write down what they have forwarded and what they have left behind; We have counted everything in a Clear Book.
36:13 وَٱضْرِبْ لَهُم مَّثَلًا أَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ إِذْ جَآءَهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
36:13

Give to them a parable; to the people of the village there came Messengers,
36:14 إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمُ ٱثْنَيْنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍ فَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ إِلَيْكُم مُّرْسَلُونَ
36:14
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We sent to them two, but they belied them so We reinforced them with a third. They said: 'We have surely been sent as Messengers to you'
36:15 قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا وَمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ مِن شَىْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا تَكْذِبُونَ
36:15
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
But they said: 'You are only humans like ourselves. The Merciful has not sent down anything, your speech is but lies'
36:16 قَالُوا۟ رَبُّنَا يَعْلَمُ إِنَّآ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمُرْسَلُونَ
36:16

They said: 'Our Lord knows that we are Messengers to you.
36:17 وَمَا عَلَيْنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْبَلَـٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ
36:17
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
And it is only for us to deliver a Clear Message'
36:18 قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا تَطَيَّرْنَا بِكُمْ ۖ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهُوا۟ لَنَرْجُمَنَّكُمْ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
36:18
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
They answered: 'We predict evil of you. If you do not desist, we will stone you and a painful punishment from us will befall you'
36:19 قَالُوا۟ طَـٰٓئِرُكُم مَّعَكُمْ ۚ أَئِن ذُكِّرْتُم ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّسْرِفُونَ
36:19
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
They said: 'Your prediction is with you, if you are reminded. Surely, you are but a wayward nation'
36:20 وَجَآءَ مِنْ أَقْصَا ٱلْمَدِينَةِ رَجُلٌ يَسْعَىٰ قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
36:20

Then, a man came running from the furthest part of the village 'My nation' he said, 'follow the Messengers,
36:21 ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَن لَّا يَسْـَٔلُكُمْ أَجْرًا وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ
36:21

follow those who ask no wage of you and are rightly guided.
36:22 وَمَا لِىَ لَآ أَعْبُدُ ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنِى وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
36:22
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Why should I not worship Him who has originated me and to whom you shall all be returned?
36:23 ءَأَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةً إِن يُرِدْنِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ بِضُرٍّ لَّا تُغْنِ عَنِّى شَفَـٰعَتُهُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يُنقِذُونِ
36:23
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
What, shall I take, other than Him, gods whose intercession, if the Merciful desires to afflict me, cannot help me at all, and they will never save me?
36:24 إِنِّىٓ إِذًا لَّفِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
36:24

Surely, I should then be in clear error.
36:25 إِنِّىٓ ءَامَنتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَٱسْمَعُونِ
36:25
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
I believe in your Lord, so hear me'
36:26 قِيلَ ٱدْخُلِ ٱلْجَنَّةَ ۖ قَالَ يَـٰلَيْتَ قَوْمِى يَعْلَمُونَ
36:26
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
It was said (to him): 'Enter Paradise' and he said: 'Would that my people knew
36:27 بِمَا غَفَرَ لِى رَبِّى وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ
36:27
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
that my Lord has forgiven me, and caused me to be amongst the receivers of generosity'
36:28 ۞ وَمَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ مِن جُندٍ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا كُنَّا مُنزِلِينَ
36:28

And We did not send down to his nation after him any army from heaven, neither would We send any down.
36:29 إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ خَـٰمِدُونَ
36:29
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
It was only one Shout and they were silent, still.
36:30 يَـٰحَسْرَةً عَلَى ٱلْعِبَادِ ۚ مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
36:30
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Woe, for those (unbelieving) worshipers! They mocked every Messenger that came to them.
36:31 أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ
36:31
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them? They shall never return to them,
36:32 وَإِن كُلٌّ لَّمَّا جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ
36:32
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
all shall be arraigned before Us.
36:33 وَءَايَةٌ لَّهُمُ ٱلْأَرْضُ ٱلْمَيْتَةُ أَحْيَيْنَـٰهَا وَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهَا حَبًّا فَمِنْهُ يَأْكُلُونَ
36:33
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
The dead land is a sign for them. We revive it, and from it produce grain from which they eat.
36:34 وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا جَنَّـٰتٍ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَـٰبٍ وَفَجَّرْنَا فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْعُيُونِ
36:34
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
And there We made gardens of palms and vines, and in it We caused fountains to gush forth,
36:35 لِيَأْكُلُوا۟ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦ وَمَا عَمِلَتْهُ أَيْدِيهِمْ ۖ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ
36:35
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
so that they might eat of its fruit and the labor of their hands. Will they not give thanks?
36:36 سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنۢبِتُ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
36:36
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Exaltations to Him who created pairs of all the things the earth produces and of themselves, and that of which they have no knowledge.
36:37 وَءَايَةٌ لَّهُمُ ٱلَّيْلُ نَسْلَخُ مِنْهُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فَإِذَا هُم مُّظْلِمُونَ
36:37
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
A sign for them is the night. From it We withdraw the day and they are in darkness.
36:38 وَٱلشَّمْسُ تَجْرِى لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَّهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ
36:38
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
The sun runs to its fixed restingplace; that is the decree of the Almighty, the Knower.
36:39 وَٱلْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنَـٰهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّىٰ عَادَ كَٱلْعُرْجُونِ ٱلْقَدِيمِ
36:39
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
And the moon, We have determined it in phases till it returns like an old palmbranch.
36:40 لَا ٱلشَّمْسُ يَنۢبَغِى لَهَآ أَن تُدْرِكَ ٱلْقَمَرَ وَلَا ٱلَّيْلُ سَابِقُ ٱلنَّهَارِ ۚ وَكُلٌّ فِى فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ
36:40
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
The sun shall not outstrip the moon, nor shall the night outstrip the day. Each is floating in an orbit.
36:41 وَءَايَةٌ لَّهُمْ أَنَّا حَمَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ
36:41
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
And a sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark (of Noah).
36:42 وَخَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّن مِّثْلِهِۦ مَا يَرْكَبُونَ
36:42
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
And We have created for them the like of it in which they board.
36:43 وَإِن نَّشَأْ نُغْرِقْهُمْ فَلَا صَرِيخَ لَهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنقَذُونَ
36:43
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We drown them if We will, then they have none to cry to, nor can they be saved,
36:44 إِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَمَتَـٰعًا إِلَىٰ حِينٍ
36:44
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
except through Our Mercy and as enjoyment for awhile.
36:45 وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَمَا خَلْفَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
36:45
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
When it is said to them: 'Have fear of that which is before you and behind you in order that you find mercy'
36:46 وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍ مِّنْ ءَايَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ
36:46
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Yet there never comes to them any sign of their Lord's signs, but they turn away from it.
36:47 وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَنُطْعِمُ مَن لَّوْ يَشَآءُ ٱللَّهُ أَطْعَمَهُۥٓ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
36:47
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
And when it is said to them: 'Spend of that which Allah has given you' the unbelievers say to the believers: 'Are we to feed those whom Allah can feed if He chooses? Surely, you are only in clear error'
36:48 وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا ٱلْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ
36:48
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
They also say: 'When will this promise be, if what you say is true'
36:49 مَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً تَأْخُذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ
36:49
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
They await but one Shout, which will seize them while they dispute.
36:50 فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ تَوْصِيَةً وَلَآ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
36:50
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Then they will be unable to make a will, nor shall they return to their kinsmen.
36:51 وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَإِذَا هُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَنسِلُونَ
36:51
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
And the Horn is blown, and, from the graves they rush forth to their Lord.
36:52 قَالُوا۟ يَـٰوَيْلَنَا مَنۢ بَعَثَنَا مِن مَّرْقَدِنَا ۜ ۗ هَـٰذَا مَا وَعَدَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ وَصَدَقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
36:52
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
'Woe for us' they will say. 'Who has roused us from our sleepingplace? This is what the Merciful promised; the Messengers have spoken the truth'
36:53 إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ
36:53
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
And it is but one Shout and they are all arraigned before Us.
36:54 فَٱلْيَوْمَ لَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
36:54
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Today, no soul shall be wronged a thing. You shall not be recompensed except according to your deeds.
36:55 إِنَّ أَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلْيَوْمَ فِى شُغُلٍ فَـٰكِهُونَ
36:55
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Indeed, the companions of the Garden are this Day busy in their rejoicing.
36:56 هُمْ وَأَزْوَٰجُهُمْ فِى ظِلَـٰلٍ عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ مُتَّكِـُٔونَ
36:56

Together with their spouses, they shall recline on couches in the shade.
36:57 لَهُمْ فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَلَهُم مَّا يَدَّعُونَ
36:57
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
They shall have fruits and all that they call for.
36:58 سَلَـٰمٌ قَوْلًا مِّن رَّبٍّ رَّحِيمٍ
36:58
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Peace, a saying from the Most Merciful Lord.
36:59 وَٱمْتَـٰزُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
36:59
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
(And He will say): 'Distance yourselves, O sinners, this Day.
36:60 ۞ أَلَمْ أَعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يَـٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ أَن لَّا تَعْبُدُوا۟ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ
36:60
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Children of Adam, did I not make a covenant with you, that you should not worship satan he is surely a clear enemy to you
36:61 وَأَنِ ٱعْبُدُونِى ۚ هَـٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ
36:61
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
and that you worship Me? Surely, that is the Straight Path.
36:62 وَلَقَدْ أَضَلَّ مِنكُمْ جِبِلًّا كَثِيرًا ۖ أَفَلَمْ تَكُونُوا۟ تَعْقِلُونَ
36:62

Yet he has led many a host of you astray, did you not understand?
36:63 هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ
36:63
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
This, then is Gehenna (Hell), that which you were promised.
36:64 ٱصْلَوْهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ
36:64
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Roast well therein this Day for you were unbelievers'
36:65 ٱلْيَوْمَ نَخْتِمُ عَلَىٰٓ أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَتُكَلِّمُنَآ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَتَشْهَدُ أَرْجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ
36:65
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
This Day We set a seal on their mouths and their hands speak to Us, and their feet will testify to their earnings.
36:66 وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَطَمَسْنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَعْيُنِهِمْ فَٱسْتَبَقُوا۟ ٱلصِّرَٰطَ فَأَنَّىٰ يُبْصِرُونَ
36:66
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Had it been Our will We would have obliterated their sight so that they raced to the Path. But, how would they see?
36:67 وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَمَسَخْنَـٰهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا ٱسْتَطَـٰعُوا۟ مُضِيًّا وَلَا يَرْجِعُونَ
36:67
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Had it been Our will We would have transmuted them (into monkeys, pigs and stones) where they were, so that they could neither go forward nor yet return.
36:68 وَمَن نُّعَمِّرْهُ نُنَكِّسْهُ فِى ٱلْخَلْقِ ۖ أَفَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ

To whoever We give a long life We make him stoop. Do they not understand?
36:69 وَمَا عَلَّمْنَـٰهُ ٱلشِّعْرَ وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ وَقُرْءَانٌ مُّبِينٌ

Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We have not taught him (Prophet Muhammad) poetry, nor does it become him. This is only a Remembrance and a Clear Holy Reading (Koran)
36:70 لِّيُنذِرَ مَن كَانَ حَيًّا وَيَحِقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
36:70
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
that he may warn the living, and so that Judgement may be passed against the unbelievers.
36:71 أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّمَّا عَمِلَتْ أَيْدِينَآ أَنْعَـٰمًا فَهُمْ لَهَا مَـٰلِكُونَ
36:71

Have they not seen how We have created for them the cattle they master with Our Hands?
36:72 وَذَلَّلْنَـٰهَا لَهُمْ فَمِنْهَا رَكُوبُهُمْ وَمِنْهَا يَأْكُلُونَ

We have subdued these to them, and some of them they ride and some of them they eat;
36:73 وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مَنَـٰفِعُ وَمَشَارِبُ ۖ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ

they also have other uses in them and drinks. What, will they not give thanks!
36:74 وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً لَّعَلَّهُمْ يُنصَرُونَ
36:74

And yet they have taken gods, other than Allah, so that they might helped!
36:75 لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُمْ جُندٌ مُّحْضَرُونَ

They cannot help them, for them (the socalled) army are brought (with them to Hell).
36:76 فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ ۘ إِنَّا نَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ

So do not let their sayings grieve you. Surely, We have knowledge of what they hide and all that they reveal.
36:77 أَوَلَمْ يَرَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَـٰهُ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُّبِينٌ

Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Has the human not seen how We created him from a drop (of sperm)? Yet he is a clear opponent.
36:78 وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًا وَنَسِىَ خَلْقَهُۥ ۖ قَالَ مَن يُحْىِ ٱلْعِظَـٰمَ وَهِىَ رَمِيمٌ
36:78
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
And he has struck for Us a parable, and forgotten his own creation. He asks: 'Who will quicken the bones after they have decayed'
36:79 قُلْ يُحْيِيهَا ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَهَآ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلْقٍ عَلِيمٌ

Say: 'He will quicken them who originated them the first time; He has knowledge of every creation;
36:80 ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّجَرِ ٱلْأَخْضَرِ نَارًا فَإِذَآ أَنتُم مِّنْهُ تُوقِدُونَ
36:80

who has made fire for you from the green tree with which you kindle'
36:81 أَوَلَيْسَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِقَـٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَخْلُقَ مِثْلَهُم ۚ بَلَىٰ وَهُوَ ٱلْخَلَّـٰقُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
36:81
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Is He who created the heavens and the earth unable to create their like? Yes, indeed, He is the Creator, the Knower.
36:82 إِنَّمَآ أَمْرُهُۥٓ إِذَآ أَرَادَ شَيْـًٔا أَن يَقُولَ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ
36:82

When He wills a thing, His command is to say to it 'Be', and it is!
36:83 فَسُبْحَـٰنَ ٱلَّذِى بِيَدِهِۦ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

Exaltations to Him in whose Hand is the Kingdom of all things, and to Him you will be returned.
