بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
15:1
الٓر ۚ تِلْكَ ءَايَـٰتُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَقُرْءَانٍ مُّبِينٍ
15:1
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
AlifLaamRa. Those are the verses of the Book, the Clear Koran.
15:2
رُّبَمَا يَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ مُسْلِمِينَ
15:2
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
It could be that those who disbelieve will wish that they were Muslims.
15:3
ذَرْهُمْ يَأْكُلُوا۟ وَيَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ وَيُلْهِهِمُ ٱلْأَمَلُ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
15:3
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Let them eat and enjoy; and let their hopes deceive them, soon they shall know.
15:4
وَمَآ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا وَلَهَا كِتَابٌ مَّعْلُومٌ
15:4
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We never destroyed a village whose term had not already been decreed.
15:5
مَّا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ
15:5
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
No nation can outstrip its term, nor do they put it back.
15:6
وَقَالُوا۟ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِى نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلذِّكْرُ إِنَّكَ لَمَجْنُونٌ
15:6
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
They say: 'You to whom the Remembrance is sent down, you are indeed mad.
15:7
لَّوْ مَا تَأْتِينَا بِٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
15:7
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Why do you not bring down the angels, if what you say is true'
15:8
مَا نُنَزِّلُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَمَا كَانُوٓا۟ إِذًا مُّنظَرِينَ
15:8
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We do not send angels except with the truth. Then they shall have no respite.
15:9
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا ٱلذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَـٰفِظُونَ
15:9
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
It is We who sent down the Koran, and We watch over it.
15:10
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ فِى شِيَعِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
15:10
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We have sent forth before you Messengers among the factions of the ancients.
15:11
وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
15:11
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
But no Messenger came to them except he was mocked.
15:12
كَذَٰلِكَ نَسْلُكُهُۥ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
15:12
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
So We make it enter the hearts of the sinners.
15:13
لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ ۖ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ سُنَّةُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
15:13
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
They do not believe in it even though the practice of the ancients has already gone.
15:14
وَلَوْ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَابًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَظَلُّوا۟ فِيهِ يَعْرُجُونَ
15:14
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
If We opened a gate in the heaven and they kept ascending through it,
15:15
لَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتْ أَبْصَـٰرُنَا بَلْ نَحْنُ قَوْمٌ مَّسْحُورُونَ
15:15
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
still they would say: 'Our eyes were dazzled; truly, we must have been a bewitched people'
15:16
وَلَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ بُرُوجًا وَزَيَّنَّـٰهَا لِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ
15:16
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We have set constellations in the heavens and made them pleasing to the beholders,
15:17
وَحَفِظْنَـٰهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيْطَـٰنٍ رَّجِيمٍ
15:17
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
and guarded them from every stoned satan.
15:18
إِلَّا مَنِ ٱسْتَرَقَ ٱلسَّمْعَ فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٌ مُّبِينٌ
15:18
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Except for he who steals the listening and is then pursued by a visible flame.
15:19
وَٱلْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَـٰهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ مَّوْزُونٍ
15:19
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We have spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains. Everything We have caused to grow therein is justly weighed;
15:20
وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَـٰيِشَ وَمَن لَّسْتُمْ لَهُۥ بِرَٰزِقِينَ
15:20
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
and there appointed for you is a livelihood, and for those you do not provide.
15:21
وَإِن مِّن شَىْءٍ إِلَّا عِندَنَا خَزَآئِنُهُۥ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِقَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
15:21
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
And there is not a thing but with Us are its treasuries, and We do not send it down except in a known measure.
15:22
وَأَرْسَلْنَا ٱلرِّيَـٰحَ لَوَٰقِحَ فَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُمُوهُ وَمَآ أَنتُمْ لَهُۥ بِخَـٰزِنِينَ
15:22
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We send the winds fertilizing, and We send down out of heaven water, from which you drink and you are not its treasurers.
15:23
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ نُحْىِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَنَحْنُ ٱلْوَٰرِثُونَ
15:23
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
And surely, it is We who give life and make to die. We are the Inheritor.
15:24
وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا ٱلْمُسْتَقْدِمِينَ مِنكُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا ٱلْمُسْتَـْٔخِرِينَ
15:24
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We know those of you who press forward, and We know the laggards,
15:25
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ
15:25
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
and it is your Lord who will gather them. He is Wise, Knowing.
15:26
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ
15:26
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We created mankind from clay, molded from mud,
15:27
وَٱلْجَآنَّ خَلَقْنَـٰهُ مِن قَبْلُ مِن نَّارِ ٱلسَّمُومِ
15:27
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
and before him We created the jinn from smokeless fire.
15:28
وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّى خَـٰلِقٌۢ بَشَرًا مِّن صَلْصَـٰلٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ
15:28
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
When your Lord said to the angels: 'See, I am creating a mortal from clay of molded mud.
15:29
فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُۥ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِى فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَـٰجِدِينَ
15:29
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
When I have shaped him and ran My created soul in him fall down prostrating towards him'.
15:30
فَسَجَدَ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ
15:31
إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
15:31
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
except iblis (father of the jinn) who refused to be one of those who prostrated themselves.
15:32
قَالَ يَـٰٓإِبْلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
15:32
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
He said: 'iblis, what is the matter with you, that you do you not prostrate yourself'
15:33
قَالَ لَمْ أَكُن لِّأَسْجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقْتَهُۥ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ
15:33
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
He replied: 'I will not prostrate to a mortal You have created of clay, from molded mud'
15:34
قَالَ فَٱخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ
15:34
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
(Allah) said: 'Begone, you are accursed!
15:35
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ ٱللَّعْنَةَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ
15:35
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
A curse shall be on you till the Day of Recompense'
15:36
قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
15:36
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
He said: 'My Lord, reprieve me till the Day they are raised'
15:37
قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنظَرِينَ
15:37
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
He answered: 'You are among those reprieved
15:38
إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْوَقْتِ ٱلْمَعْلُومِ
15:39
قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ أَغْوَيْتَنِى لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
15:39
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
(satan) said: 'My Lord, for Your perverting me, I shall make (matters) in the earth seem most fair to them and I shall pervert all,
15:40
إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
15:40
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
except the devoted amongst Your worshippers.
15:41
قَالَ هَـٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ عَلَىَّ مُسْتَقِيمٌ
15:41
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
He (Allah) said: 'This is for Me the Right Path
15:42
إِنَّ عِبَادِى لَيْسَ لَكَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَـٰنٌ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْغَاوِينَ
15:42
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
over My worshipers you have no authority, except the perverse that follow you.
15:43
وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوْعِدُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
15:43
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Gehenna (Hell) will be the promise for all of them.
15:44
لَهَا سَبْعَةُ أَبْوَٰبٍ لِّكُلِّ بَابٍ مِّنْهُمْ جُزْءٌ مَّقْسُومٌ
15:44
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
It has seven gates, and through each gate a portion of them belong.
15:45
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
15:45
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
But the cautious shall live amongst gardens and fountains:
15:46
ٱدْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَـٰمٍ ءَامِنِينَ
15:47
وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِى صُدُورِهِم مِّنْ غِلٍّ إِخْوَٰنًا عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مُّتَقَـٰبِلِينَ
15:47
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We shall remove all rancor from their hearts, and as brethren they shall recline on couches face to face.
15:48
لَا يَمَسُّهُمْ فِيهَا نَصَبٌ وَمَا هُم مِّنْهَا بِمُخْرَجِينَ
15:48
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
There, no fatigue shall smite them, nor shall they ever be driven from it'
15:49
۞ نَبِّئْ عِبَادِىٓ أَنِّىٓ أَنَا ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
15:49
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Tell My worshipers that I am the Forgiving, the Most Merciful,
15:50
وَأَنَّ عَذَابِى هُوَ ٱلْعَذَابُ ٱلْأَلِيمُ
15:50
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
and that My punishment is the painful chastisement.
15:51
وَنَبِّئْهُمْ عَن ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
15:52
إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمًا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمْ وَجِلُونَ
15:52
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
They entered to him and said: 'Peace' but he replied: 'We are afraid of you'
15:53
قَالُوا۟ لَا تَوْجَلْ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَـٰمٍ عَلِيمٍ
15:53
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
'Do not be afraid' they answered. 'We come to give you glad tidings of a knowledgeable child'
15:54
قَالَ أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِى عَلَىٰٓ أَن مَّسَّنِىَ ٱلْكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ
15:54
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
He said: 'What is this, do you bring me glad tidings even though I am old' Of what do you give me glad tidings'
15:55
قَالُوا۟ بَشَّرْنَـٰكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْقَـٰنِطِينَ
15:55
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
They replied: 'In truth we have given you glad tidings, do not be one of those who despair'
15:56
قَالَ وَمَن يَقْنَطُ مِن رَّحْمَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ
15:56
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
He replied: 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, except those that are astray?
15:57
قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
15:57
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
He asked: 'Messengers, what is your errand'
15:58
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ
15:58
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
They replied: 'We are sent to sinful nation.
15:59
إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٍ إِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
15:59
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Except Lot's family, of whom we shall save all,
15:60
إِلَّا ٱمْرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرْنَآ ۙ إِنَّهَا لَمِنَ ٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ
15:60
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
but his wife. We decreed that she should be amongst those who remain behind.
15:61
فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ءَالَ لُوطٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
15:61
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
And when the envoys came to the family of Lot,
15:62
قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ
15:63
قَالُوا۟ بَلْ جِئْنَـٰكَ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ
15:63
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
'No' they replied: 'We bring you (news) of that concerning which they were doubting.
15:64
وَأَتَيْنَـٰكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَإِنَّا لَصَـٰدِقُونَ
15:64
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We bring you the truth, and indeed we are truthful.
15:65
فَأَسْرِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍ مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱتَّبِعْ أَدْبَـٰرَهُمْ وَلَا يَلْتَفِتْ مِنكُمْ أَحَدٌ وَٱمْضُوا۟ حَيْثُ تُؤْمَرُونَ
15:65
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Depart with your family in a part of the night and walk behind them and let none of you turn round. Go to a place where you are commanded'
15:66
وَقَضَيْنَآ إِلَيْهِ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْأَمْرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَقْطُوعٌ مُّصْبِحِينَ
15:66
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
And We made known to him this decree that the wrongdoers were to be utterly cut off in the morning.
15:67
وَجَآءَ أَهْلُ ٱلْمَدِينَةِ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
15:67
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
The people of the city came to him rejoicing.
15:68
قَالَ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ ضَيْفِى فَلَا تَفْضَحُونِ
15:68
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
He said: 'These are my guests; do not shame me.
15:69
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخْزُونِ
15:70
قَالُوٓا۟ أَوَلَمْ نَنْهَكَ عَنِ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
15:70
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
They replied: 'Have we not forbidden you (the people of) the worlds'
15:71
قَالَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ بَنَاتِىٓ إِن كُنتُمْ فَـٰعِلِينَ
15:71
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
He said: 'Here are my daughters; take them (in marriage), if you would be doing'
15:72
لَعَمْرُكَ إِنَّهُمْ لَفِى سَكْرَتِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
15:72
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
By your life, they wandered blindly in their dazzlement.
15:73
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّيْحَةُ مُشْرِقِينَ
15:73
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
At sunrise a dreadful Shout seized them.
15:74
فَجَعَلْنَا عَـٰلِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن سِجِّيلٍ
15:74
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We laid it (the city) upside down and rained stones of baked clay upon them.
15:75
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّلْمُتَوَسِّمِينَ
15:75
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Surely, in that there are signs for those who contemplate.
15:76
وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيلٍ مُّقِيمٍ
15:76
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Indeed, it is on a way which still exists.
15:77
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
15:77
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Surely, in that there is a sign for those who believe.
15:78
وَإِن كَانَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْأَيْكَةِ لَظَـٰلِمِينَ
15:78
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
The dwellers of the Thicket were harmdoers.
15:79
فَٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامٍ مُّبِينٍ
15:79
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
On them, too, We took vengeance, and they are both on a clear roadway.
15:80
وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْحِجْرِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
15:80
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers.
15:81
وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ ءَايَـٰتِنَا فَكَانُوا۟ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ
15:81
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We brought them signs, but they turned away.
15:82
وَكَانُوا۟ يَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا ءَامِنِينَ
15:82
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety.
15:83
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّيْحَةُ مُصْبِحِينَ
15:83
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
But the Shout seized them in the morning,
15:84
فَمَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ
15:84

and that which they had earned did not help them.
15:85
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ ۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَـَٔاتِيَةٌ ۖ فَٱصْفَحِ ٱلصَّفْحَ ٱلْجَمِيلَ
15:85
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a graciouspardon.
15:86
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلْخَلَّـٰقُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
15:87
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَـٰكَ سَبْعًا مِّنَ ٱلْمَثَانِى وَٱلْقُرْءَانَ ٱلْعَظِيمَ
15:87
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran).
15:88
لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهِۦٓ أَزْوَٰجًا مِّنْهُمْ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَٱخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
15:88
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers.
15:89
وَقُلْ إِنِّىٓ أَنَا ٱلنَّذِيرُ ٱلْمُبِينُ
15:90
كَمَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَى ٱلْمُقْتَسِمِينَ
15:90

So We sent it down to the partitioners,
15:91
ٱلَّذِينَ جَعَلُوا۟ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ عِضِينَ
15:92
فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسْـَٔلَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
15:92

so by your Lord, We will question them all
15:93
عَمَّا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
15:94
فَٱصْدَعْ بِمَا تُؤْمَرُ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
15:94

Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers.
15:95
إِنَّا كَفَيْنَـٰكَ ٱلْمُسْتَهْزِءِينَ
15:95

We suffice you against those who mock,
15:96
ٱلَّذِينَ يَجْعَلُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ ۚ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
15:96

and those who set up other gods with Allah, indeed, they will soon know.
15:97
وَلَقَدْ نَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ يَضِيقُ صَدْرُكَ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ

Indeed, We know your chest is straitened by that they say.
15:98
فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
15:98
Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English) :
Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate.
15:99
وَٱعْبُدْ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِيَكَ ٱلْيَقِينُ
15:99
